Hi Marc,
Yeah, that's me. Still doing the PhD. Someday it will be finished.
And I had a different user name, but I think that was when it was oldschoolbmx. When the site changed I think that user id was lost in the switch. All I know is that I didn't visit the site for a while and my user id was no longer valid, so I grabbed a new one.

I live north of Canada in a sleepy, little community named Detroit, Michigan.

I'm from hamilton ontario i raced out of 50 point track in stoney creek did some racing in ottawa and kingston tracks . I also raced track 2000 in milton. I was invited to the worlds in 95. I rode and still ride it once in while the first year the pk rippers came out with pxl and pitbull mount on the bottom bracket I think it was 93 or 94. It basically has all the pro series parts on it. Gt stamped neck the gt hubs i had the big bars but traded them for knee savers. I know on a ripper anyway. I eventually bought the smaller but big tube gt bars can't remeber them now. It has a fusion 3 piece on it. Thats all i can say stands out on it. I was going for the you have pk feeling to show off with and some toughness with thick bars and fusion 3 piece. Any guys from those tracks in this site i would like to here from you if your out there.

Sarnia, Ont. I ride 35-39 Cruiser and whatevers available on my 20". Both bikes are '06 Haro SX's and I love them like my own children. Theres no local track here so I usually cross the border into Michigan to race. Fortunately my folks have some land so I was able to build a small track for my Son and I to mess around on. Bmx is mostly dead in my corner of the country.

Hey, I know Darren Nordell from our early days in BMX in Edson, AB. It was a pretty small town with only a handful of good riders that rode together frequently. I would say that Darren was a great overall rider but a natural flatlander and picked up tricks pretty easy.... even inventing a few himself.

I remember that Darren was from Edson, in fact on Summer we drove from Sherwood Park to Edson to see the GT/Dyno freestyle team and then hung out with them at West Edmonoton Mall. Darren just finished painting a Redline for me. He rides MX right now, and is very good except for a few recent severe injuries. Keep in touch.

I'm in Calgary too.
Just starting out at the tender age of 37 now that my little guy (5) wants to race. We just went to the Calgary BMX club open house, rode the track and joined up.
After years of mtn and road racing it was good to try something new in the bike world.

I ride a PK Ripper and a Quadangle cruiser. I've been riding the Calgary BMX track when I can but mostly just bombing around Kilarney with my little guy. My wife has actually been riding the bmx track too.
I know a bunchof trails but they are much more suited to a Mtn bike.
Still trying to learn how to jump these beasties. Way different compared to Mtn.
I'm down for Calgary OS meet, where and when?
