ok fellas, until i can work out how to get pics on this forum, try here
http://homepage.mac.com/mhawthorne/PhotoAlbum1.htmlfirst pics are of a resto of a mystery 24 inch cruiser frame. from weight, it's definitely cromo. any ideas what it is? ignore the redline stickers, they're off ebay. black frame is a kuwahara, silver is a supermax cromo.
i'll get some better pics of the id numbers on it soon, and some pics of the other bikes.

hey hawkers to post pics upload them to a site like that or
photobucketif using that site. right click the image and go to "copy image location"
then put it in the post reply with image tags either side
or go full reply form, then click the button that says "img"
it will give you a popup window and paste the url in there.
or if your using photobucket, you can select the address that is next to Img underneath the pic where the thumbnails appear. just copy that adress and paste it straight in hope that was of help.
also do you use a mac hawkers?
Thanks guys about the newschool graphites question, guess i'll just tell him to scroll the bay for the correct set then.

Hi Hawkers,
I think i went to bourkies bmx shop once in the early 80's...i can't even rememebr where it was in north mitcham....was it off Park rd somewhere?
It was probably the same day i rode at the tower-valley (warrandyte) track.
I mainly rode in the box hill/blackburn/doncaster areas...loads of tracks & jumps around there ;-)

bullyhotrod, tks for the info. yes, i'm a mac user, which means i can't right click anything, and i'm a muppet in windows. i'll try 2moro nite.
marty, shop was in mitcham road, in the group shops right at the top end of park road. either burke's bikes or bourke's bikes. nice guy. he sponsored a few bmx riders and a few road racers in the local area, and let the local kids inhabit his shop after school - he always had a couple of top bikes (i remember a redline carrera i wanted bad) and gave us free stickers. my mate jase says his son was a good racer.

Welcome hawkers.
As a recent convert to Macs I can give you some instructions about posting pictures here. In order to link to the photos you have on the .mac homepage just view the photo in the slideshow mode, move the cursor over the photo and hold the control key and then click the mouse and select the Copy Image Address. The control key/mouse click is the PC equivalent of right click. All you need to do now is paste that address between the tags like below.
quote:
Here's an example and just remember to make sure the images aren't too wide. I think the rule is to keep them no more than ~ 700px wide.

What's the saying, "if the horse bucks you off then get right back on and show who's boss." So, back racing it in a few weeks. Should have been next week but going back to Launceston for the weekend. All not lost though as I'll get to scoot around on the Quicksilver 24" and maybe the recently built Quicksilver Helium but not sure if I'll be allowed to ride that one.

Hey bullyhotrod86jh,
I have a set of new graphites flip/flops and they are really good. I got them from Ed at coloredtuffs.com easy to deal with and alot cheaper than getting them from here. You need to get the campy caps but to set them off.

haha yeah there not for me, i couldn't afford them, must agree, those flanges look awsome as all hell, thanks for the info. just i can't link him, and offer him to sign up because they had a great thought let's charge for new members, and since i dounbt he would stay. I wonder if it has stopped many so far seems to be to me. anyway any idea about those ukai steel rims in 2.125, i searched around and just can't find any details about them. Also with everybody getting into the springer bikes, does anyone need one I would be guessing it is that era roughly.
by the way i thought some of you were a bit obsessive,

hey Bully
what an awesome collection! I read your Q&A, It really p*sses me off when jealous people try putting others down because of their own inadequesies (sp ?). When you try to make your self look good or intelligent by putting others down or mocking them it just belittles you. GOOD ON YOU MATE! love your collectionand love the room!

quiet?? so Kurts building his hutch, what are you working on V8?? me? I got a headache from stripping ano off some mini rims tonight. I'll try and find time to polish them tomorrow and then have to find some spokes. I think 188 0x front and 208 3x rear, bugger of a size to find in a shop around here though. I also have a start gate half finished the kids keep hassling me about so i better extract my finger.

I haven't done anything for a while. I'm trying to finish the mono and either chrome or powder these forks from JC. I'm thinking red powder. I dunno. I also have this car to build. Thats taking most of my time. I have been here readinfg everything though.
Welcome hawkers. Enjoy your stay. I'll have a Southern Comfort on the rocks.

Kurt, I'm not sure of final plans but will be trying to catch up with a mate possibly Saturday afternoon. I tried to get him to put the word out just so some of us could catch up for a bit to eat and boast about a riding ability but I think I scared him off. Maybe a plan for sometime later as I am willing to make the trip. Just needs some-one to bite the bullet and pick a date and contact the old guys.
I also have a frame coming back from Roberto via Serva. Was hoping to get it today but Aust Post let me down. My first Haro.
