Mr.BMX
Hi All,

Any of you guys know anything about GT performer pro's?
I'm not much of a freestyle guru, so any info is welcomed ;-)
It looks like it has "SE Standing Gear" forks, although with GT performer decals on them too..

If u need to see details pics of the frame, to help I.D it, just ask ;-)

I found the GT on a nature-strip today.
(oddly enough from the very same house i got the 2 hardtails and a goose from last year).

Speaking of freestlye stuff, does anyone need ORANGE Skyway/Tuff brakepads???
NOS in pack.

PM or email me for speedy response ;-)

Mr.BMX
grub

Mark you really have something against reflectors huh?! Lol! Were you traumatized as a child?
Weren't we all traumatised in some way? maybe its just me? haha. I guess reflectors do have their place Howard - on commuter bikes! yes i know.. i'll stfu now.

V8ute - any pics of the new race bike??? when will we see it in action?

BrokeL345, I'll get the tuffs back today hopefully. sorry no nice pairs of gold hubs...
serva
Marty, I have no idea what that bike is but it ain't no GT...
Mr.BMX
Yeh, i was wondering of the GT decals were original for the frame, or stuck on later in life....

I'll take more pics of the gussets/foot stands/frame details and go hunting :-)
dugga
hey marty.... what happened to the kid who was riding that bike on the nature strip? Did you leave him behind or is he on ebay?
Mr.BMX
buried him until he let go .... ;-)
AndyDiamond
I'm no freestyle guy but that 'GT' looks like a Haro frame with SE Standing Gear.

Martin - you mean you have a Skywat TA XL right?
pickles
that fake GT looks like a Cobra

they ripped off everyone

i have one that looks like a Haro and a CW together

with crap welds and cheap dropouts

i'll post it later

OldSkoolRoy
Hey Marty...that GT performer is a Malvernstar freestyler...i think,LOL. Luis has a picture of a frame and fork set he had. Do you still have it luis?? Post it up please.
COASTY
I just found that pic Roy. It aint no malvern star. Not that same one anyway. Pics is in the aussie bikes section.
OldSkoolRoy
Thanks Glen, i got a good look at it in the vintage section...not to sure what it is. I'll post up a photo of somthing i found today. Some sort of weird freestyle bike.
bullyhotrod86jh

KOSY-MOTO
Sorry dudes that aint no Mal-star freestyler? looks like more of a CW kinda thingy.. hehehe.

BUT this Mal-star looks more like a Hutch windstyler?? Im confused now??
COASTY
Good stuff Bully. Free parts (sort of) are good parts.
OZZYBMX
hey v8ute , 20's are beautiful , i dont know what you drive but i can imagine its a holden or falcon (prob holden) the 20's will fit no bother , its buying the new shoes (4 new tyres) for low profile 20" wheels that is the killer ...take ease on the burnout$ !
COASTY
Luis, I think your right!! I've just scoured the world lookin for Marty's frame and your Mal definately looks exactly the same as a Hutch! OMG!!!
www.martin-bike.com
Andy, yes. Skyway TA XL.
KOSY-MOTO
GlennO: Yeah dude.. Ive seen afew on evil-bay abd the look the same ... let me look for more photos..
COASTY
I've seen abouyt 10 pics so far and they are all the same as yours. Looks like you scored a hutch. Don't worry, I hear they get good $$ on ebay. LOL
OldSkoolRoy

KOSY-MOTO
You decide.. Mal-star or Hutchie?...
COASTY
Thats definately a Hutch mate. Good one!
www.martin-bike.com
What year is that Hutch Luis? The reason I ask is that I only know the ones with the small thin tube piercing the top and down tube near the head tube.
HowardinOz
Looks to me like alot of frames were made by the same factories under different names.
I think Luis' bike is a Malvern Star. Who would go to the trouble of fixing the star to the headtube...if you could get one in the first place?

Howard
KOSY-MOTO
S_H_I_T.. even the forks are the same.. theirs one on evil bay now... GEEZZ!! Im a proud owner of a Hutchie item number: 260000341078 And here I waz thinking it was a cheap Mal-star.. hahaha..LOL.
OldSkoolRoy
That one is a malvern star...the welds arent the same as a hutch.
COASTY
I think Howard might be right. It could come from the same factory. It is identical right down to every detail. Even the fork pegs have the 4 dimples and the taper on the legs. Throw some Hutch stickers on it.
KOSY-MOTO
...And here I was building an Ozie Ozie Ozie classick? hehehe..
www.martin-bike.com
Isn't there a missing tube piercing the top and down tubes near the head tube???
KOSY-MOTO
WOW Im a proud owner of a COPY aftermarket hutchie... I bet Hutch didnt even know that the silly Japs were selling via the back door to Malvern Star.. back in the dayz!! what a classick!!
HowardinOz
102 quid so far luis. Maybe it's worth stickering it up as an imposter and whacking it on ebay?!

Gun-ho Howie
HowardinOz
However, I reckon it'd be rarer as a Malvern Star!
OZZYBMX
yeah , like the time race inc couldnt fill their order with "race incs" but were also making pk's for se , so sent a supplier/buyer pk rippers badged as race inc ... but they were really alu loopy pk rippers . there was one on ebay 4 months ago and sold GOOD ! the seller told the whole story behind it and IT GOT A LOAD OF INTEREST $$$$ !
Jarvi
Martin you're thinking of the Trickstar whereas the Windstyler has the normal looking head tube combo. I think the Windstyler was a more affordable bike.

The few I just found through searching had different forks however the frames do look similar.
Jet Black
Where's the Hutchvernstars serial number stamped into it ?
If it's under the BB it was made in Taiwan. Rear Tab SN would be Japanese made. If the frame has poor quality welding it is a 99% chance it came from Taiwan.
The Taiwanese manufactures would not have even blinked at doing a run of 1000 "Hutch's" to be resold here & given them the Malvern Star badge & sticker treatment.

So where is this enchanted piece of footpath you find these old dumped bikes ???
The house behind it must be a lost goldmine.....

JB

I don't think Hutch had that many frames made in Japan.
HowardinOz
Anyone watching this?
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...DME:B:WNA:AU:12

Howard
KOSY-MOTO

HowardinOz
I was looking at it for the Tuffs.
Once it hit $50.00 I gave up!
Guess someone wanted it more than me.

Howard
HowardinOz
Or should I say TUFTS!!!

Howard
OZZYBMX
thats a big old chain that turns them TUFTS !!!
Jarvi
Still weilding a camera at the races so here's a few from today.

Open or 16+ class

Just to give an indication of the height of the jump, that's Mark's head just visible in third place

Young hotshoe throwing a one-hander whilst leading

Older hotshoe pulling a smooth manual

Pity I didn't focus properly

Jumping down the frist straight during the break

Could number 75's green cable be any brighter?
KOSY-MOTO
Cool shots Jarvi..

Wanna sell me your freeagent 24inch? hehehe
Jarvi
Luis would you really want it? Only had two owners and it has put both of them into the emergency room.

Seriously, not for sale as I still have the bug and can't wait to get back out there. I enjoy taking photos (and need to spend more time doing it) but it's no substitute for screaming around the track with a grin from ear to ear which is fortunately covered by the fullface helmet.
dugga
Nice shots James....looks like a fun day. You coming to Lilydale next week? I might attempt to race cruiser and 20" - double my chances of injuring myself (or someone else )... when are you back in the saddle?
Jarvi
Yes I'll probably wander along. It's about time the cruiser came out as you've had it for a while now.

Another couple of weeks for me and I'll see how things go.
Dirtboy
Hey nice shots Jarvi!

It was a bit cold at the castle hill clubby tonight so a few of the dads and a lot of the kids built a big bonfire and we toasted marshmellows and had a few beers
