My friend would have all the internals, I'll ask him about them on Monday when he picks them up.
I just had a idea, depending on what alloy these mags are made from, it's quite possible that they could be chrome plated. And the brakes would really work then. This could make for some interesting builds.

Kurt, down for at least six weeks. Was on a new school Free Agent Limo 24". No damage to the bike although still in the back of the car at the moment. Mark told me I came down from a great height straight onto my head and shoulder. Thank goodness for the solid Bell Moto 7 helmet. Figured if they were good enough for Mirra and Hoffman then I should be fine.
Those wheels look great Roberto but they also look mighty heavy. Definitely get street cred with them though.
Kurt.
May 28 2006, 02:23 AM
That's not good Jarvi - makes you (temporarily) feel like an old man pretty quick when you break something doesn't it! Went for a walking lap of the Spreyton track at Devonport today - looks pretty good still. Just gotta finish the Hutch and I'll be at it.
Those Enkeis are sweet - love the quality in that hub - the steel races pressed into the magnesium/alloy looks very flash Robert.

that sucks james, hope you're feeling better (I can recommend panadeine forte ) - how did the doctors treat it? Do they just strap it up and put you in a sling for a few weeks?
Jarvi
May 28 2006, 05:06 AM
Yes the panadeine forte is the drug of choice but pain isn't too bad. Arm in a sling and that's about it.
PK count is now up to three, so nearly as many SEs as you Ian.

Sorry mcam, I have a pair, unknurled too. But they have sentimental value. I haven't seen a lot of them over here either. If I find some I'll be sure to let you know.
On a brighter note, I just scored a full time job with a Toyota dealer. Back on track!

great news Glen !!
Ditch the esky and get an r31 skline for $500
Lots more fun and you have another rb30 to play with
and the added bonus of all the 87-93 nissan platform bolt on brakes and suspension etc
they all fit

Hey you know what happens when cars get posted here the forum goes walk about lol
OK today wasn't a good day for me ???
The UCI Pan Pacific Continental Championships are on this weekend at the lake Macquarie track (nice track) I was going to work nights this week so i thought i would go to the track for some practice about a good 1.5 hrs drive from Sydney. Rode around got the first straight nailed move to the 2nd straight (I should have gone home)
So I messed up over the triples, not to sure what happen ? I triple scooted but ended up hitting the front wheel on the last sending me over the bars and head first into the ground. Lucky I was wearing a helmet something i don't usually do.
Now i am the owner of 2 black eyes, split lip, grazed knees, 1 is brused from the bars and a broken Right hand. Need an operation on the hand on Wednesday to join the bone together DAM DAM and DAM. out for another 12 weeks
velocidad
May 29 2006, 02:32 PM
oh jeez Mb, one injury amongst us this week was more than enough-what a total bummer.
...I was just reading about the Lake M. race last night, a few people from our club are planning to go. looks like a good meet. how'd the hell you drive home?
Jarvi
May 29 2006, 04:54 PM
Injuries go in threes don't they? Some-one better watch out. Somehow six weeks doesn't seem as long now. Sorry to hear the news mattblack.
Sounds similar to me a few months back. Having a practice at track by myself. Confidence was getting better and took off over the triples and went further than expected and hit the face of the third one. Managed to hold it together, rode away, put the bike in the car and went home.

May 29 2006, 05:37 PM
jarvi, you're right things usually do happen in 3's.....
1 - i busted up my left hand 3 weeks back,
2 - you with the collarbone
3 - and now MB
so according to karma everyone else can relax about crashing you're all untouchable
if you've been thinking about busting that huge set of doubles now's the time.......
man i hope the 3 deal doesn't get reset by the time i'm back on the bike
