Hey Andy,
Yep, leaning toward Araya 7Bs in silver. Saw your post with the Stu replica - thanks! I like more contrast though. So considering chrome Ukais if I can date them to 1982.
So, is your "stuff" for sale? I want those Patterson decals. Hey, I'm only in Sydney a few more days. Did you want that NOS Series One in red? If we miss it again this time, it's Christmas.
Here is another preview - worked on this last night. not finished:

Geeeez Bruce! Not a very flattering photo. LOL
Borrowed the oversize jersey, socks and gloves. That's my old cross country mountain bike. Helmet is old also. My real ride bike and gear are back in Hongkers.
Beat Bruces' kids on the first race but one of them got me on the second. Legs are back to normal now. Don't sprint like that usually.
Yes, was fun after over 20 years! Thanks Bruce ... looking forward to doing that again. Will be practicing to beat your kids!
Bruce was relegated to operating the gate starts as he has 2 broken fingers from a serious crash. Maybe next time . . .

May 25 2006, 05:14 AM
Sorry Luis, I didn't know if I could go until last minute. There were some heavy hitting mountain bikers and hard core BMXers there - at night with the lights on.
The mountain bikers were the who's who of Australian mountain biking - Aussie champions. They were getting rad over some serious jumps. Was very cool.

i can see it from the website owners point of view ... there is a massive support and input from the aussies on this website , if they dedicated a room to us , that would probably take a lot away from the other rooms (not to put down the US input that is massive) , but all it took was someone to say "who is from australia" then 492 pages later ... here we are

I think we're just a drop in the ocean - far from massive. There are something like 10,000 + members here now and only a handful of Aussies that post here regularly.
We are more prolific rather than plenteous.

coastvl do you want another escort ive got an original RS2000 2dr with heaps of spares including a genuine spare nose cone. Im the second owner and have had it since 1989 and have been meaning to rebuild it all that time but it just sits in garage collecting dust and rust these days, i should move it on but sentimental value has stoped me.......lol

May 25 2006, 04:44 PM
Thanks richie but this one is all I can afford for now. 6 months ago I would have snapped it up. I've always wanted an RS but couldn't afford one. This is only a 1600. I need something cheap and economical to drive to work. It goes great so that'll have to do for now. Maybe somewhere down the track I'll go late model jap/turbo.
Howard the V6 is too heavy for what I want it to do. I like going around corners fast

coastvl its going cheap as it is unregistered and the engine has dropped a valve but there are enough spares to get it going, ill swap it for a pk looptail if any one is interested let me know.
