Cool photos. Love the idea of the switchback, just to get away from the straight, 180 turn, straight, 180 turn etc. Not too sure about all the paved stuff and landscaping though. That picture of the pros looks like they are riding through some-one's back yard.

Hi,
That track is part of my regional races. It is fun but they forgot to tell you was the last two straights are up hill and the rhythm section is very tricky and your legs are about to expoled.
Dam foot other wise I would have been there and could have talked OS all day.

great pics of ACT....looks real quick but a bit sterile though with all that paving. Tyre choice and pressure must have been difficult. I assume they lock up at night, otherwise the locals would go crazy with the spray cans... Still I'd love to seal our berms... if not with concrete then bitumen, must save a lot of maintenance time and if you make them vert they could double as a quarter pipe

wow that track looks very fast! Comp street or ramp tires would be the go! maybe a set of old staduims even! I could use my sisters dragster tires!
I love the landscaping. I wish we could do that to our track. Looks very professional. Good efforts by all the boys that went.
Theres a new ad on telly up here for Hogs Breath cafe. It features Wade Boots in the ad riding at nerang track. Qlanders keep an eye out for it.
Oh and yeah thats me and JB at Fivedock and ride eastwood skateparks. I have the full article laminated for future casey generations! lol

Re Wyndham Session Tues arvo is OK but Tues after 7 is better. Will this be a 20 20 practice day?
I park my car on Derrimut Road & ride to the track -approx 300 metres. On race days you can drive all the way up to the track. Its just 20 metres from the Glen Orden Primary school grounds but am unsure if you can drive in there after hours.
Comp 3s will be fine there-wonder what the tyre of choice at ACT was-Holly Rollers? Snake Bellys would have made a wonderful noise flat out round the concrete! Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Hey Tell me more about those Tioga pedals youve got for the PK-I rode an MTB equiped with them & I actually believe they have more grip than DXs, theyre unbeleivably grippy. Up close the teeth are shaped like saw teeth ie alternating teeth point forward & backward-if you look along the cage they would be in a V.

Hey GT, I hope to get there around 4pm. I'll have the kids with me, and I forgot I promised to rebuild a mates PC tomorrow night.
It'll be a short session but should be fun.
Maybe a 20, 10, 50 session!
20 years older, 10yr old bike, 50kg's heavier!
I don't know, I still reckon it was the weight of the bike stopping me getting much air the other night!!!
That and the run-down track/jumps.

Oh, GT....those pedals look nasty!
You're right, they do have the sawtooth thing happening.
So far I've polished one and the other is stripped.
I'm having trouble stripping the red off the new DX levers.
Still really having trouble deciding whether to powder the PK baby blue or polish it. Will cost about the same! Polishing is free (I do it) but would have to get the LG's chromed. Powder costs but would include the LG's?????
Decisions, decisions.

Whats next, a bmx velodrome track?
Adding all the trimmings is just more stuff to hurt you!

Saturday I hope! I've been workin 7 days (not today Yay!) I really need some gumwall tires. I don't like the all black look myself. Do they make gumwall 16" comp st or ramp tires? If so I need them or similar.
Oh I just remembered where I saw some. Golf Buggy wheels use a street tire in gumwall.
Nevermind.....
Oh and I have a complete car detailing set up on the bay. Trailer included.

Hey Ausies,
Does it count if I WISH I was from Australia? If there is a such thing as a past life, I swear I was from Australia. I think I might move to your country some day. I think I would feel right at home. Alright well I'll stop blabbing now. G'day mates! Don't throw a shrimp on the barbie', that would be stupid!
peace,

Good stuff pete. Oh by the way the mono shock will commence this weekend.
Mike your more than welcome down here. Paul Hogan has a lot to answer for. Shrimp on the bbq, what [no, not this word either] came up with that rubbish. And as for kangaroos bouncin' down the street, that does happen. Not often but it did at one of my old houses.
