Celica looks cool Howard. I've always likes that model. A mate of JB's and mine had one of those. He was gonna build it up until the wiring under the dash caught fire ! He sold it soon after.

My bad on the car post , I was venting.
I got sick of "banging heads" with the guys on another forum about proving & disproving Theoretical Quantum Mechanics & other Theoretical really small scientific stuff , so I upscaled to the somewhat simpler Applied Physics & Applied Mechanics & got carried away.
Rather than delete the whole post (which I did consider)
I opted to finished it off with Matt & my 2006 lineup of bikes we should have put together before the end of summer , here.
Sorry I got carried away , but QM theory gets _really_ annoying when they try to apply it to Reality , enough to make yer head explode , it won't happen again.
I'll keep my posts here orientated towards nice simple 2 or 3 wheel , pedal powered vehicles from now.
Homebush BMX stuff in Sydney on Australia Day thread is now open for business , too

Question how much for a DX seat post red? these days worth? im curious to find out?
COASTY
Jan 13 2006, 10:55 PM
A good one will easily go for $60 aus. I'm after a blue one myself. But I only need an average one. Good price on the rims too.

Who wants to go riding in Brisbane soon?
I can do Sat 21st or Sun 22nd if anyone wants to meet up. An arvo ride is best probably about 2:30 at the Botanic gardens where it's cooler amongst the trees. Everyone welcome !!!!

If I have nothing else planned (don't think so) I might bring the family up for a looksee and a ride. My little man loves his tricks and it'd be cool to show him someone that can actually do them.

I'd love to come for a ride too, maybe next time we holiday in Qld!
Anyway this is Wade Bootes screamin' down over the first double in the teams final today @ Lillydale- great racing! (WB is the closest rider to me with rear discbrake on his bike)
Another pic, my safety gear advisor Crossriderozzy today (I regretfully ignored his advise re: get some elbow sleeves) pic by my boy btw.
Needless to say I am $40 poorer and now own elbow sleeves- lol.

Ouch. At least you weren't carried off on a stretcher like the poor girl in about the third race on Saturday.
I too ignored the commentator about putting sunscreen on and am nursing a sunburnt forehead, nose and neck. When will I learn?

From the diagram on the sign it's good to see they haven't just gone with the U within a U shape for the track.
So which Sydney guy is going to organise an Old School race meeting? I'd make the trip north.

great pics luis - hey will the pk clear that double in the final pic? lol! p.s. please remove reflector from trek seatpole asap. love the blue rims btw!

Jan 15 2006, 03:15 AM
hehehe.. I think the PK might clear it but my fat gut won't hehehe.. 99% ARAYA's will buckle hehehe..
The reflector is the only safety feature that I have on the bike as I do alot of moonlight road rides..
It wasn't that bad with the slicks just had to drop the seat ride down so I can ride on the back wheel over jumps.. Like I said I wasnt planning going off-road today BUT hey I couldn't resist.. hehehe...

Those mini ramps look about my level. Don't think I'm up for the big one yet but hey, a bit of peer pressure and I'd be willing to give it a go. Like many of us though, the difference between physical ability and mental ability is so far that they could be said to be living separately.

Dugga - thanks for the the comp's - I wish I had more time to chat (and watch the racing!) I was over the moon when I found out they had enough sprocket girls to run a full gate. it was really good to see so many girls racing in all the age classes too.

just remember not to stick pink fuzzy bunny ears on your girl's helmet - the extra drag slows you down
