Yeah, it was a cool bike!
Convinced my folks to BMXify it when they became the craze.
Wish I still had it. I remember finding a frame at the tip which I cut the top tubes out of because I wanted a couple of small pieces of tubing for something or other. Things are as rare as rockinghorse **** now!

Hi Guys,
my wish list to suit the PK should anyone be able to help me out.
- Lay back seat post...either chrome or anno blue.
- Rear V brake, anno blue or any colour as I can strip and polish it if necessary.
- Blue anno headset.
- SE camo pads..I know, clutching at straws with this one!
- Chrome PK Ripper sticker set...may have to hit ART29 on ebay for these.
- Dark blue grips...AME or similar...old school.
- Frame and fork washers to suit PK...preferably anno blue but silver is fine.
- maybe a blue anno stem of some sort. The one on the bike is a fusion which is OK but there are nicer ones to be had.
I know some of this stuff comes up on the bay but I just thought I'd ask here first.
Thank's
Howard

Howie.. F+F washers to fit our 90's model won't actually fit.. I've tried hehehe..
- Camo pads.. checkout Alans BMX in the Uk.. is your best bet.
- I may have a set of AME blue grips..

Hi Guys,
I wouldn't have ever put a layback pole in a looptail but I wouldn't think it would be an issue in the later models with the integrated clamp.
What do you guys think?
KOSY-MOTO
Dec 22 2005, 10:46 PM
Layback or no layback its all good.. I have a layback on my Loopie tail.. am i breaking any laws? hehehe.. in the meantime I'm having troubles trying to find a seat post that will fit my 90's PK Ripper.. not that easy..
COASTY
Dec 22 2005, 11:16 PM
Layback seatposts put a lot of pressure around the seatube area on any frame. PK's have a reputation for cracking in that spot at the best of times.
Luis, my neighbour rides around the street on a General lee. Good bikes.
HowardinOz
Dec 22 2005, 11:28 PM
Hi Coast,
been thinking about that. From memory the crack on the looptails starts at the back where the slot is at the botom of the slot. This means the tube is being stressed forward. The opposite direction to the stress being exerted by the lay back pole.???
Howard
COASTY
Dec 22 2005, 11:35 PM
Yeah I see what you mean. I've seen other cracks in the post area too. Some have broken clean off. I know thats pretty extreme but the newer models look a lot stronger in that area anyway. I rode my looptail a lot and it has been to the skatepark too. I never tempted fate so I was lucky. Thats what the goose is for!
HowardinOz
Dec 22 2005, 11:36 PM
Luis, don't know if it helps any, I just measured the post that came with the PK and it's 7/8". Robinson CrMo. It's buggered though, it's been cut off at the min insertion line which means it will be way too short!
Howard

Dec 23 2005, 12:06 AM
Yeah I have a 7/8 seat post but its awee bit small.. is their an adaptor which slides onto a 7/8post? I think I remember seeing them on the UNI seats as an adaptor.. Hmmm.. Seats!! hehehe.. I might go for another ride this time on my PK..
Mr.BMX
Dec 23 2005, 12:42 AM
Luis,
The uni-seat plastic adapter allowed the thin 7/8" uni pole to fit into a standrd size (larger) bmx seat-tube.
HowardinOz
Dec 23 2005, 12:56 AM
Luis, the 7/8" fits in mine like a finger in a bum....apparently ;-)
I've heard that some were more suited to the poofteenth bigger 22mm.
