Last day and they grabbed it when I thought I was home and hosed. Why is it the little thingd are the hardest to get hold off. Headsets and Bb are a real ***** to get hold of for me.

So guys heres what I've been up too.
Finally finished this thing off. I'm quite surprised how well it rides. I like it a lot for a no name bike with cheapo parts.
This arrived from Pete today too. One finishes and the other starts. I love it. It's old and heavy but soooo cool. Which wheels do you think? I prefer the motomags but the tuffs are lighter (not by much though).
This is gonna be the most fun so far building this thing. My daughter thought I was crazy when it turned up today. I was like a kid at chrissy.

I can't remember what my original bars were other than about 28" wide, at least 8" rise and not much sweep back. Thinking something like the GT Pro Bars. Anyway, does anyone have any bars that fit those specs they are looking to get rid of? Or, what are some (reasonable price) that fit the criteria? Chrome preferred but I guess I can always deal with that later.

COASTY
Dec 5 2005, 05:14 AM
Yeah they are OE's Lewis. They were cut off before I got them in 88 or so.
I'm thinkin motomags too. I want it to look real seventies. I just need to raid the local moto-x restorer for the bars and I have everything. I'm really lookin forward to building this monster (it weighs a ton already!) Now I just have to strip everything and start the show!
Reece , anytime mate. We'd love to see you here.
Cheers guys
Glenn.

ROY:
Wotta gem!!!! Steve McQueen would be proud hehehehe.
I picked up a similar/same bike down here to send to Johnnychopper, with the same grip shifter and all, might be worth talking to him about it.
Not sure if i'd restore it either? might be good just to seal it with clear laquer and frame it or something. classic!!!!

Hi Guys,
Can someone tell me what era "Fox / Moto-X" is?
late 80's? 90's???
I have a bunch of fox stix here, but i think they're way outside my era, so i'm gettin' rid of them.

Marty, Fox has been around since moses mate. Definately remember them back in the early 80's.
Roy, What a gem! I'd probably clean it up but leave it stock using all the stock gear thats on it. Very cool.

Can't be sure Marty but I think mid 80's. I remember Fox stuff being popular when I was in high school.
