I got these hubs recently and I like em because there a bit different. Laced to black Zs. Anyone else use em?
broke L345
says that there were the most people on oz in a one day period only a week or so ago. So the traffic must still be there.

lovely lot of stuff there Mick.

As with any site that has a huge member base and crazy traffic the people that use it change also. Most oldeies move on and the newbies take over. It's a natural thing on any popular site. Not just bmx forums either.
Me personally I think it's great. They will learn the ways. Either that or go to the Museum.....

Christian has finally twisted my arm enough - my G-boy build is under way

Stay tuned for updates

After that - a first generation Quickie - just need one more part and get the wheels laced and it's finished

broke L345
I'll be waiting.. biggrin.gif
JMCGT

GTHODAD
Ill be learning lots about coaster brake servicing thanks to this recent package ohmy.gif
and I never realised the front hubs are asymetric.
COASTY
Me too !!
I have all NOS Shimano guts for the rear.
Volcano
Cool Lester mags John....they use a SACHS coaster brake assembly.

Glenn - Sweet Enkei Eagle mags mate!
broke L345
NICE AND NICE!!!

just bought new wheels for my Bitchin Comaro, the tuffs were flexing way too much, what a pain in the BUTT.

need to go for a ride now, anyone........?
COASTY
It seems the brake pads were missing from the rear. Very odd. Luckily I have a LOT of Shimano spares.
The front rolls smooth now too. Very therapeutic working away in the shed on a rainy day listening to Slayer !! LOL
broke L345
Nice.
GTHODAD
What wheels did you get Christian?
Brisben
Glenn - those wheels will look just perfect on the stroker - love em mate!
Brisben
John - those Lesters look great, very lucky to find them without the reflector tabs snapped off as well

I was originally under the impression that the asymmetry was because they used the same mould for front and rear but even that doesn't work out
Volcano
Big thanks to Marty for my SE Racing jersey that arrived today. biggrin.gif

Maybe for a disc brake?
Dont know what to put them on. The only 70s bike I have is a monoshocker.
broke L345
that is such a cool race top Mick, hope you find out what era it is.

Ill take a picture of my bike tomorrow.
broke L345
my FBM now and a couple of small jumps in my yard.

Jarvi
You'll do much better skids with those wheels Christian. How's the walk up the hill after each run at the jumps?
broke L345
the walk isn't too bad, they spin so much better, I nearly went through the fence the first couple of times. The only thing about riding in your yard is having to dodge the Corgi and the Rottie who both like to stick close.
noelg
Nice jumps Christian ,so when the berms going in smile.gif
broke L345
hey Noel, there's one down the end but most of the time it's not much use. I need to supersize it. smile.gif
Jarvi
There's a few things I'm not fond of here in south Florida, then again there are a some advantages like hanging out with other Porsche guys for lunch then dinner on a Thursday. At one stage were were at the traffic lights two abreast and three rows. Stole the second image from one of the other guys when we parked at the restaurant for dinner. I was last to arrive (slowest on I95 because I was only 15mph over limit) and the valets saw me pull in and just waved me through.

broke L345
very nice James!
Volcano
Happy Bday Glenn! Hope you have a rad day mate. drinks.gif

Christian - cool track - love it. (you need a quad bike to drive back up the hill...lol)

James - very sweet cars...did you race from lights to lights... tongue.gif
COASTY
Thanks mate. Been a good day so far. Off to Sydney tomorrow for 4 days !

congrats on your plate Matt.

is the gathering being shut down by 2?
Kurt.
Hey guys,

Haven't even logged in to Vintage or Oz for a couple of months - taking a break from the forums and the drama. Not that there's any drama here, but the whole scene has sorta left a bad taste in my mouth for a while.

Sorry Matt - missed your post about the Tassie titles. How did it go?

I'll be at Knox this Saturday, but no bike with me. Hope to catch up with some of you good guys.

Here's my next build. Arrived today. Thanks Bri.

The pics flatter the respray - it'll be off to Roberto for a powder.

Last half of 1979 USA-made Redline Proline - serial 345250.

I have ALL the parts sitting here ready to build this one - just need the F&F and bars powdered.

Yes, the padset is original and matching. smile.gif

I have wanted one of these for a very long time. I always said as a pimply teen that when I got "old"- you know, like 20 or something - that I'd have one of these rather than a cruiser. Just took longer than I expected.

You guys know me - it'll be of it's age - with a couple of period moto quirks. Stay tuned...

Kurt.
PS:

I can't help it - I'm an old-school fool even when not playing with BMX smile.gif

JMCGT
Been quiet myself on the forums too Kurt.. I hae enough good friends around Melbourne to keep me busy as well as family racing..
Kyal got 2 Tasmania in 9 boys and i finished with a 5 plate.. equal 4th but received 5 on count back..

What are your bikes.?? black one looks like a Moto G
Kurt.
Cool.

Where were the titles Matt? Hobart?

Yeah both Guzzis mate. His & Hers.
