James I know your problem...not enough points on your new licence!!

Speaking of laughs, got a few today from NAB FB page, as they were having major problems with there internet bank site, with outages most of the day...Find it a pretty ballsy move by a bank to put up an FB page...they must have had a whole team on FB deleting customers choice comments today!...More F and C bombs than at a Rodny Rude concert...it didn't make for a very productive day but it sure as hell was entertaining watching the bank get a bit of a reality check...Think NAB FB page might be short lived smile.gif

Happy belated b/day Christian.

G'day from Warrnambool in South West Vic. I have an intersting bike that I hope someone can shed some light on! It is a Super L.A. Sidehack. I bought it off a mate who had it for around 10 years untill his kids grew out of it, just as my kids were growing into it. He had no history on it, except he got it at a garage sale and had replaced many bolt on parts as the good stuff had been repalced with junk parts, also, most of the bits he added were from other wrecked bikes he came across. Since I bought it I have replaced the front wheel with an Eagle(Made by ENKEI) front ALLOY wheel(no it is not a painted skyway!!), found an original sticker set which I got copied, replaced the 1 piece crank with a freshly polished 3 piece set and bear trap pedals, made 1 wheel cover(I plan to make more, or maybe full gaurds when time allows!!) and generally cleaned it up. There is still a few bits to do, but my kids still love riding it, as do heaps of other kids from the Warrnambool BMX club. It has the standard broken seat clamp(Warranty?????) The frame is a smaller size with the build No. SLA0512. I presume the hack is from factory as it is a very professional job, can ANYONE tell me more?? The plan is to keep working on it one little bit at a time, but as my kids(and everyone elses kids) love riding it it will never get a full "As new" resto, I just want to make a cool old bike reliable, fun and get enjoyed!! Thanks!! I will try to get some pics of it up when i work out how??

AOG74
Thank god am here from Brisbane found stories that brings alive bout SUPER LA - side hack I read here. Also well know young kid Darren Webster and curser "Butch broomfield" and the SLA shed at springwood. I use to race on this SLA hack mid 80s made me one of a Australian champ in tassie 1985! Member of Logan City. Wondering anyone out there would have dusted SLA hack in shed I can be adopted with me or lead me one more last ride?
Jarvi
Welcome AOG74.

Picked up a new toy today. To say I have a big grin at the moment is an understatement. 2010 GT3 in cobalt blue and confirmed by Porsche to be the only 997.2 GT3 in this colour in the world. For the technical boffins, 435bhp, 3.8l flat six, six speed manual and goes like the clappers and stops with neck breaking ability...

broke L345
Welcome AOG74, sure some one will chime in for you.

Nice james, now go hang out at yoga and horse events and you'll be set. biggrin.gif
ACGTO
Very nice James.

yeah its not bad sarcastic_blum.gif
Kurt.
Very cool James. Love the colour.

Is this gonna be your every day drive?

You might need to take it back under warranty though, the wheel seems to have been installed on the wrong side.

84profile
Awesome James, glad you hung out for the blue one, looks heaps better than the black one.
Jarvi
Thanks guys. Wheel isn't on the wrong side, he was holding the camera backwards...

Yes a daily driver and even more impractical than my previous one. Going to develop a really big right arm from the gear changes. Should be fine really as daily driver for me is not like a daily driver for people who commute to work etc.
broke L345
I love it James, good on you.

Nice toy James...OK folks, it's on again....

Hurstbridge Show and Shine
26th August 2012
Hurstbridge Vet car park, Main Rd. Hurstbridge.
9:30am onwards
The 3rd Hurstbridge bmx /dragster and custom bike show !!
Last year we had over 100 bikes and this year we are hoping to get a lot more. This show is all about our love of bikes from all eras - dragsters, customs, BMX.
For those that haven't attended in past years the show and shine is a part of the Hurstbridge town fair.
Around 15000 people attend on the day, there is a lot going on all day with a muscle car display, steam train rides, vintage cars and motor bikes, concerts, face painting and rides for the kids and so much different food to eat you wont go hungry. It's a day for the whole family with something for everyone.
A new bmx bike donated by CycleHouse in Greensborough will be raffled on the day. All profits made on the day will go to the Park Orchards bmx club.
It will be a great day and we hope to see a great turn out!
Huge thanks go out to the sponsors for this great community event.
