Glenn, yeah I'm so sick of hospitals... Then again, Its not so much the hospitals, but the needles that come with it..

Thanks for all the well wishes guys.

Kurt.
Heading in the right direction Brian. Good news.

Glenn - posted that spindle this morning mate.
COASTY
Thanks mate. Appreciate it.
Kurt.
Wish me luck fellas. Spoke to my wheel builder today and have made him an offer on one of his two Quicksilver cruisers. His wife thought they were 24s, but even better, they are 26s! Woo hoo! I remember that Reece was always unimpressed with the 24 QS.

If he comes to the party I will have a very neat Moose up for sale - so if anyone might be interested, hit me up via PM.

James - he's our age but did most of his racing in NSW.
COASTY
Sounds good mate.
If anyone has Brians number please send it to me. Or call him now. He's in a bad way.
The number I have isn't working.

posting something like that is usually a signal for support, I hope he doesnt do anything silly, I think he just needs to talk to someone

Good luck with the Quicky Kurt, I just sold my caravan today, so a cruiser quicky is very tempting to me lol.
Sorry I am not big on a Moose.
Kurt.
I don't have Brian's number on this phone, though I used to have it.

I'm away from home tonight in Hobart so on my iPhone. I'll trawl back through my PMs and see what I can find.

Where was this post? On Oz?

Edit: found it. I get what's going on. Thanks. I'll try and contact him.

Its only sh!ts and giggles Christian, dont take it to heart....

It amazes me with the bikes that do get beaten in BOTM on ozbmx, was not that long ago when Mick had a smoking Nomura that got trumped by something that shouldnt have came near it, crazy days, I will never understand it but I suppose its whatever floats your boat. In regards to BOTM I look for something eye catching that I would like in my stable that has been put together well, something that I would have cut out of BMX Action and stuck on an excercise book when I was in year 6, something that I drooled over, something that was most probably un achievable then............it just seems that some peeps have a certain following from like minded people on some of these forums, that is why here and Society you will get a much fairer appraisal of your builds, especially once put up against something like a hotfoot.....Im not a hater of lower end bikes its just that i dont strive to achieve one, I have no desire for mass produced bikes......maybe I am the weird one........each to their own.

Carry on.....

Vote for that Sen Pro!
Kurt.
The Quicky 26" cruiser is being brought back from storage in NSW to Tassie in July wink.gif

I have a Crapfoot 24" F&F here that is free to the first person to come pick it up!!!
QuicksilverBMX
I gave you a nudge C.

That hotfoot for some reason reminds me of a moosegoose, could be because the stem is sticking out of the headtube too far and the seat pole looks like its about to fall out of the frame. It has a nice part selection though including real dia compe mx1000's, each to their own, if I raced one BITD i would probably have it hanging up in the shed.
COASTY
I agree with the each to his own thing. If it floats his boat then good luck to him. People say the same about Mongoose and Hutchs. Personally I have a Hotfoot 24" in really good cond. Just needs wheels....I think it owes me about $40 so far. LOL
BUT, presentation should be a part of the judging and with a seat and stem that high I wouldn't look twice at it. Regardless of the stickers on it.
broke L345
I think overall it's a really nice bike, I just think it's interesting what people vote for on different sites. good luck to him. if he wins, thats awesome for him!

who's gonna watch Black caviar tonight?

that's a pretty wheel kurt sun_bespectacled.gif

started wearing my bomber lanyard to work again last week and their losing streak ended. i guess i need to retire the pie face lanyard until footy season is over smile.gif
Kurt.
Thanks guys.

Yeah Dani, that's the wheel from my childhood '82 Diamond Back. The original hub had collapsed so Glenn kindly came to the party with a replacement. Cleaned up a treat! Rim is my original polished alloy Ukai (hey, I must have been a blinger way back in 1981 LOL!!!) Bombers did well. Kangas knocked off the Crows in the upset of the round too.

Still can't believe how much black crap came out of my Suntour feewheel. I swear by a good long soak in Kero!
bmxmom
oh kurt, don't try to deny it. you'll always be a blinger. wink.gif

yeah your boys had a good week. they still could have a chance at the eight if they finish strong and have a little bit of luck on how the other teams do. would be fun to see the pies go down to freemantle next week or the giants in week 18 would be even better. hehe diablo.gif
