Hey Strangers
I just read 10 pages to catch up. Some great stuff in here....but think we might have to rename the thread though...
Maybe "Who's from Australia and into 70's bikes"...I have very little knowledge of the era but I love seeing the passion you blokes have for it...
James, great to see you made it back...wow what a purchase to come back to, A NOS Haro, that is off the hook!
I have no new bike stuff to add, other than I'm in the process of getting a wheelset together for a rider...but I've been busy riding the wheels off my Profile cruiser, putting in about 150km's per week street riding it. I love it..you were right MCAM cruisers are pretty cool to ride...

Don't mention the "R" word Glenn (unless its Rampar lol).
We are suppose to get a little moisture until Friday, nothing like you seem to have had up your way though.
Darrell will be up at 9.20 Friday morning (picking him up from the airport).
He will be bringing my 2 quickies (can't wait).

Went for a big ride with Mark and a couple of others around Mt Buller yesterday. Big day and considering I hadn't ridden a bike since leaving the Gold Coast in May I'm feeling a bit old today. Well worth it and bombing down the fire roads and single track was outstanding. Climbing the hills sucked! What capped it off was handing the filthy hire bike back at the end of the day.

What's the seat clamp Ben? That's super trick.
I really like what you've done with the lever too.
The whole lots looks exotic but lived in. Perfect
Brisben
Dec 8 2011, 06:29 AM
Admittedly the lever is a Team Products Shimano and came like that
The seat clamp is a mystery - it was in a bucket of clamps I bought from Joe Bag o Donuts/Fulltilt a couple of years ago and was the only one that worked perfectly with the brake setup
The used items were put through my mini version of Waza's tumbler in a hope to attain the same consistency of finish

Oh - and did I mention it was a 24", I like cruisers
