Hey Matt - got the pedals today...sweet....thanks for that. biggrin.gif

Here's a pic of some of the parts I've acquired this month...(big thanks to Matt, Luis & Kurt KD1975)

Nice color in those parts Mick.

Hey Mick , what are they going on ?
84profile
Totally un bike related...but I want a quick rant!

Telstra Bill section are TOTALLY RETARDED..I have never dealt wih such incompetence in my life. 4 Months of trying to resolve an issue with their own billing problem. Considering launching action to recover costs in loss of income due to the time wasted attempting to resolve this problem.

Rant over.
COASTY
I have had a few problems with them myself Stu. I think everyone has at some point. The whole system is filled with problems and it's never their fault?

Stu, while I got you here. Do you know a Shane Coggan from Canberra? He knows Craig and raced in the act. He also held a ACT #6 plate. Not sure on years though. He's a mechanic at my work !!
Jarvi
Don't bother ringing the Telstra complaints department either. They just put you back through to the person you want to make a complaint about... Go straight to the ombudsman. Only problem is they are that overloaded with complaints. Sure don't miss having to deal with telcos.
Volcano
Stu - yeah....Telstra are really dropping the ball mate....not good. I agree with James (go to the ombudsman)...good luck mate.

Gav - One set of the Gold Tourneys are for the Nicole BMX Bandits build....Dura Ace might be for my 1979 Team Goose.

I got these goodies today...the red KKT's are MINT!.....and will go on a special build I have in mind... cool.gif
The cranks are early Tourneys.

84profile
Yeah, I've pulled the Telecommunication Obudsman card on them, they purked up and it appears that they are going to drop a $2500 excess data usage charge...won't even start on it and won't believe it until I see my account cleared...but seriously...nuts

How red are those KKT's!!! What is all this gear going on Mick?

Sorry Glen, the name sounds familar but I can't picture the face...ask him what sort of bike he rode...then I'll probably remember smile.gif
COASTY
He reckons he still has his Mongoose under his mums house in Canberra?
Volcano
Stu - Factory Hot Heart team racebike replica... wink.gif
Volcano
Christian - whats your mailing addy mate? biggrin.gif

You are doing some nice work there Mick .

Stu , good on you , don't give up !!!! They don't know who they are dealing with , a man of your determination will win in the end . Big companies rely on people being quitters in matters like this .

James , Euskaltel ?
Jarvi
No Gav, back in the US these days. I stick to a global sim card issued by e-kit and prepaid so no hassles and works everywhere except for Mauritius so far.
Kurt.
Great stuff Mick. Very nice gear.

lol Stu. Telstra. Incompetent rogues. I spoke to their complaints department once - about a couple of cases - one a disabled pensioner I was helping out - I swear, took at least 12 calls to get a phone line connected to his house. The other case was a new work line we had put in - at least 20 calls, each one to some idiot who contradicted the last idiot. The complaint department's attitude was literally "well, it's not much point putting in a complaint, it won't make any difference". I can only hope the NBN puts the dickheads out of business.
Volcano
Thanks Kurt. biggrin.gif

Was digging thru my old photo stash the other day.....and found the only pic I have of me on my old Redline MXII.
Used to ride that bike for many a kilometre BITD, never raced though....but from memory it was an old ex-Race bike bought thru the trading post.
I had a full Redline vinyl padset for it too....but ditched them straight away (silly me I know...lol).
Still have the Tuffs & Shimano 600 cranks (now restored & re-annoed)

First pic is from 1986 (note the water bottle holder clamped to the downtube)....and the second is from 1988, with a few parts changed.
Thought I'd share them with u guys....(how cool was life back in the 80s)

Kurt.

Off the hook James....some real old school stylin' flavor in there too..Big table tops and even a few Eddie Fiola look backs! Loving that woodward ramp looks unbelievably smoooooth....love it now I need to get back to work...will you stop putting up stuff that makes want to go outside for a pedal!!!

At least you can go for a pedal. No bike here...

Would they be menstrual cycles Kurt?

Righto B, is the VDC all done...if so make with the pictures....

Today I had thoughts of strapping my iPhone on the down tube of my Profile 24 and videoing me ripping through Surfers on the back wheel. I'm not making any friends with the local joggers ...but couldn't work out how to secure it properly with damaging it....truth be told, there is probably a bigger possibility of me hitting the pavement than the phone... ohmy.gif

That would be awesome video Stu ! A chest mounted GoPro would do a good job .

I used to live in Surfers and work at a beachside highrise . I'd take my 26" Repco cruiser after work and lay down wheelies all over the place . On the beach at low tide too ! That was '96 to '98 and probably played chicken with some of the same joggers .

Ha ha, what an awesome shot...I often think about our mono comp at Rob's all those years ago and it still haunts me that you beat my ass!! Been practicing for the last 3 years for a re-match!! I now have a cruiser too!!

All smiles for the comp!! Baaa haaa

Must admit I've been trying to manual like um **cough new schooler cough** an it's the first new "trick" I've tried to learn in like 20 years...slowly gettin it..

I hope your still kicking some mean wheelies around the US!
Jarvi
You must be catching some new school germs from my bike Stu.

I prefer these ones from 2007.

Wish we could have Rob\'s show every 3 months...what a great weekend it has become...some random photo\'s from previous years to spice it up a little for B who needs to get up there for next year!

Me and my old mate Craig (Skywaydays)

A few of us tooling around, Prosixtyfive (Glynn) pulling stand up mono\'s...now that\'s old school!

Jarvi hitting up the door B&D jump (Brick and Door)

Craig in mid 360 flight (dam he does em smoooth)

Me in a sequence of not so smooth facial expressions....

One of my favorite days of the year!!
Jarvi
I'll add a couple more to the dodgy facial expressions whilst jumping file. Taken by Jonathan.

Looks like I was about to drop the bars and do a no hander. One day I might try.
84profile
That last shot James, was just moments before your spectacular Matt Hoffman no hander, right?

SNAP!!!
pr200
Amazing shots peeps!

I must get up Nth shortlly, maybe coincide a work trip with Robertos....looks like fun.

Stu, you must be the only one that has not sice this complete, I have bored the boys by whoring it out a few weeks ago,

It will be wearing a plate next week, so may be a good oportunity to get it out with a few of my others for a few pics.
