For the most part Glenn. That's why it's taken me over 10 years of collecting to finally get around to building and taking photos!!!

Lovely Martin, good camera work too....
Lewis
The Turbo is high class well done.

And Hi to all.

Can anyone tell me what happened to Rude Wheels in the UK?
COASTY

Lewis

Kurt.
Hey Lew! How's life mate?
Lewis
Life is all good!! how's ya DB herd??
Volcano
Hi Lewis - Seeing as u are a DB fan....here's something for u

Lewis
Ha what a cute lil baby I bet he wants ta grow up to be a big senior pro. Hmmm think I might still have some 82 DB "chromoly" chain stay decals. DB had the sexiest pedals. love it.
Kurt.
Hey Lew. I am finally putting together my childhood Senior Pro (my original frame, stem cap, seat post clamp and bars in this pic). Nearly finished my '78 USA-made DB build too wink.gif

Seat tube decal is original. The others are from your screen-printed run with Fraser.

Lewis
Neat, you going to leave those forks on, is that what you had BITD?, I got my decal box out about a month ago still have a full set of factory gold team pro's.
Kurt.
Yeah - Tange TRXs with no decals. I'm rebuilding her just how she was wink.gif
redlineoz
Hey Lewis, good to see you around these parts!

Long long time.

Cheers Brian

(ps- pity nos rl forks dont go for what they did)
Lewis

Hey Stu, yes it is!

Geez that brings back memories, I briefly had one of these in 1984 before it got nicked from outside the local pool in Orange NSW, although mine was not quite as tidy as yours Martin!

I look forward to seeing what the following week brings.....

Awesome...well worth the wait!
Lewis
Very nice PL20 Martin. cant quite see, is that a straight seat post or the RL fluted? because they are so damn rare.
www.martin-bike.com
It's a Redline fluted. I have a spare if you're chasing one. Will have much better shots tomorrow.

Everything is stock for the Carrera except for the tyres and the two crappiest components - the OGK grips and the Dia Compe straight brake lever that I changed for Oakley 2s and a Tech III lever. I'm imagining I'm going to race it.
Lewis
Fantastic stuff. Thanks for the offer.
I have an 81 PL20. once a year I do something to speed its build progress like about a month ago I decided to put the fork decals on LOL. It has the fluted RL post but someone had cut it down for the old lighten the bike thing. you cant tell once mounted.
The model I have does not have the bottom brake bridge.

Lewis
Martin Its just bloody unreal. 10 outa 10. I cant quite recall but some of these frames were braise welded at the rear drop outs, not tig welded. it had something to do with the PLcarrera sold as a frame set ,opposed to the complete bike??

HAPPY B'DAY MARTIN!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARTIN!!!! HOPE YOU HAD A BMXCELLENT DAY!!!

www.martin-bike.com
Hey thanks everybody. Couldn't pry myself away from the gold PK. Had it pictured in my mind for 2 years but when it came to building, it looked different. I hate it when that happens. Need to play some more but off to the beach and hiking tomorrow.

Happy Birthday Martin!!!

I know Vert-ego is expensive, but he might be your ticket for those numbers
juanrmattos
Well if you decide to build a 1921 bike I have the Haro numbers 2 and 1 tongue.gif
www.martin-bike.com
lol Juan!!!

Thanks Stu

Tried him but he's out also. I've got a whole bunch of builds on hold until I can find them.

Happy birthday Martin..
Kurt.
Happy Birthday Martin!

Sorry mate, my last Haro 8 and 3 went on my 83-inspired retro PK.

pr200
Nice Kurt!

Any chance you have any more of those ESP decals laying around........

B
www.martin-bike.com
Thanks again guys.

No worries about the numbers. I found a mother load to last me the next few years. In transit as we speak. The builds can continue.

Next up is a 1981 Robinson Pro. Just fine tuning and will have more shots tomorrow. This one captures a particular mood for in the beginning for me.

Seems Haro didn't make the round number decals in white? Everybody seems to use the Zeronines I have on the plate now. I have slanted stadium like that fit but they aren't rounded. If I go with Zeronine, putting a #8 and a #1 just crowds the plate. What to do???
Jarvi
Whilst the idea is definitely not worthy of your builds Martin, just go old school and make some numbers out of white contact like so many of us did back then.
www.martin-bike.com
Yeah, cool idea James. Thanks!
Kurt.

What brand of Snakebellies are on the Robinson Martin?

They are identical to the ones I used to race on
www.martin-bike.com
The rear is Cycle Pro, the front is IRC

Oh yeah, the "R" stamped Robinson's are a bike I would like to build one day! That is a beauty Martin! Keep knocking them out mate! Nice to watch if you can't do smile.gif ... crap that sounds dirty!
