Martin - Sweet GT...cool silver padset.

We had a Bike show in Brissy today. Mix of all genre of bicycles (fixie, track, ratrod & VBMX)
The weather was kind...no rain smile.gif

Here's a few pics...

COASTY
looks like good weather Mick. Some nice bikes there too..... huh.gif
Jarvi
Sounds like you were lucky with the weather Mick.

Four hour walk around the streets and lanes today. A couple of old school parts spotted. A green tuff wheel copy hanging in a shop and the one in the photo. Saw the wheel cover and formula and thought it might have been a Diamond Back Formula One. That was their model wasn't it? Anyway, not a DB.

Kurt.
Nice one Mick. Unusual to see a Stroker there too.
COASTY
Is that Glynns Stroker? I remember when it was for sale. Great survivor.
Volcano
Yep, its Glynn's Stroker mate.

That's the Henry Jones Art Hotel. Very cool place. Haven't stayed there but have attended a couple of conferences on the premises.

Its a converted jam factory (classic nostalgic Aussie brand "IXL"). Now a 5 star luxury hotel. Very trendy and art everywhere. Right on the Hobart wharves. Great place.
OldSkoolRoy
Love the pic of ya back window Glen, just takes me back for some reason. Cheers!!!

Pretty cool stuff Martin!!!...

OldSkoolRoy

Great photo. Have seen the inside of the airport at Singapore and that's it. Need to have a proper visit one day.
COASTY
Great looking cruiser Roy. Looks great.
Allen, thats a cool pic mate. I saw a program on that casino being built. Amazing stuff.

here's a side on view from the harbour. that top deck has an olympic size swim pool and gardens. 20 bucks just to visit LOL

Singapore is on fire at the moment (in more ways than one). Every time I go back there, the place seems to have a ton of new buildings. But . . . being right on the equator, it's always ridiculously hot. Love the super cheap Singapore laksa with the tasty little clams. Yummy.

Are you still there now? You can hire those horizontal seater bikes at Clarke Quay and ride around with your wife for a different perspective.
www.martin-bike.com
Juan,

I did a silly thing and sold the NOS 1982 Stadium tires from under MYSELF!!! arrrggghhhhh. Momentary lapse.

we went everywhere by boat, bus or MRT.

Wow, those are some crazy dropouts.

Mac OS X Lion is out. It's going to be a late night tonight! Whooohooo!

Apple Lion - USD29.99, AUD31.99 Again we get screwed in Australia... That's assuming I have to buy through the Australian store like I do for iTunes.

About time Apple used dynamic foreign exchange rates for their financial transactions.
www.martin-bike.com
While we're on that topic, PayPal is the biggest thief of them all when it comes to exchange rates!!!

Travelex Commercial gave me $1.069 today!!! Stoked..

My Apple Dashboard widget tells me that at the moment $29.99 USD will cost me $27.93 AUD

Just checked App Store and it is available now

I reckon with the exchange rate and credit card fees it will come out about square....and hopefully under my data cap seeing it is a 3.49 GIG download

You could always buy the DVD for $85
Jarvi
Hey Ben, if I had pointed out those things I wouldn't have been able to justify my point. Us accountants can make numbers look like whatever we want. Appears deep down you might be an accountant. Bet that scares you.

I suppose I should be happy that Lion is available as a download because Snow Leopard wasn't. At that size I will be waiting until I get to Hawaii and unlimited bandwidth.

bloody lovely forks Ben.

Apple nerds....lol

Nice forks Ben, I have no idea what they are but they are still nice......Im like Stu, I have no idea in regards to the 70's gear, its all about two years for me, 1983 and 1984, strange but true.....

If anyone has a nice set of tires (20 x 1.75) for an '84 build let me know, or better yet if you have a single comp IV in the same size please holler!

B
Brisben
James just read that the Physical media DVD will be available for $69 AUD and a rumour that you can take your laptop into an apple store and for the download fee you can download using their bandwidth... maybe give that a go

Me as an accountant - now that is scary
