Sounds great Kurt. I like those plates. I was going to bring a few of those into OZ at a good price but nobody spoke up when I asked. Good looking plates.
I spent the day with old school motoracing at Maryborough. Great day and great weather for it.

Jun 26 2011, 05:25 AM
Naah Matt. You know what it's like. Just gotta get them just how you want them.
Yeah know what you mean John. I'd never run one on an old school ride, but they look a whole lot more retro than any of the other new school plates I have found.
Good idea Glenn. Still work out cheap buying them individually though. $20 US shipped in the states. Not much to ship them to Oz via a mate. Compared to $40 plus for a Rush plate, which really don't have a vintage look at all.

Martin, as usual stunning builds...just beautiful, I love the use of the DX cranks...love gold parts as accents...(just one thing, I think you have the DX crank pedal boss's in back the front...left boss in the right crank/ right boss in the left crank)

Nice work Martin. I'm sure the Floval Flyer looks even better in person because I don't think the tan colour comes out the same in photos.
That Escort looks like my slot car I posted a while back.

Sorry did you do it on purpose? Did you swap the axles out on the pedals or are the boss's back the front the front? I've swapped axles before and put the right axle in the left pedal and lefty in the right pedal....a pain in the butt! If you have the boss's in the cranks back the front it's a 2 minute job...not trying to be a smart as$..just saying it can be a simple fix...but it is just trivial...absolutely poppin' builds dude!

Wow, it was worth the wait until I got home. Martin, both those cruisers are absolutely stunning. I agree with Stu, I'm really digging the gold DX cranks on the Nomura. The Nomura cruisers look like they would be a load of fun to rid.
And the Floval in that colour, with the gold is !@#$%^&&*!
As always, stunning work!

Just scored this, Im going to build it but take my time with it. Its a local score from Gumtree
1982 Kuwahara KYZ
Tange Forks
Sugino "E.T" stem
Alps cro-mo V-bars
Sugino cranks
Araya 7x wheels
Shimano hubs
Swallow motocross tyres (i wish they were in better nic, so cool)
Dia-compe hinged seatclamp (not in good shape)

Jun 29 2011, 04:59 PM
Oh my god Habibi, KYZs are fully sic and rare and desirable! And so much more cromo that ETs! Lol

how much of a scar has that man left. I didnt even make the connection when I read Xaviers reply on the Oz thread.

Jun 29 2011, 07:30 PM
Sorry mate. Just joshing. Good riddance to him I'll shut up now. I hadn't seen Xavs comment.
So what are your plans for the Kuwie? Really good looking frame. I'd dearly love a KZ1 one day. I wanted one for a long time BITD but changed my mind in 82. ET the movie sorta spoiled Kuwaharas for me because all of a sudden they went from being rare and cool to on every corner. Especially the low end POS ones.
