Ok lads (and lass) I finally got motivated today to rebuild my slipping Suntour coasterbraked Tuff II. Now I have every single type of coasterbrake part you could ever need, except one. I need a drive cone/thingy for a Suntour hub. I have a pic but my comp has been hi-jacked by my 11 year old.

I understand its not everyones cup of tea but i was searching high and low for a nos Black Shotgun II to no avail, they must be likes hens teeth, long story short I found this one a few months ago, it is preety clean and will do for the meantime, anyway the print on the side was faded, tracked down some replacement decals and only just got around to putting them on (I have been extremely lazy and have been lacking motivation for the last few months, but thats another story) really pleased with the quality of these, courtesy of Del.....as mentioned above this will do for the time being......

Del does good work. Looks good.
One Question, my Shotgun II has a gloss finish on it. Yours has a grainy finish as well. What gives? I've owned it for 28 years too. It's still stamped too. I have a 1st gen one as well on my Supergoose.

Mick you need to be over here. 29 degrees. Then again no bikes to play with, just damn xml/php/mysql/ftp/wget and numerous other computer things I have no idea about. Kind of why I keep dropping back in here. Has taken me an hour just to get a file transfer working, now to upload from xml to mysql.
Any proper techies here rather than pretenders like me? Might need some help soon!

The 5.5 was bad enough, but the 6 was pretty scary. It felt almost as bad as the 6.3 in February. We're all good here though thanks. Some others, especially in the Eastern suburbs, aren't fairing so well though

You're right though, I'm starting to get sick of it

While we are yarning about pics, I started to clean up this today, the chrome on this amazes me, its a 1984 vintage and the chrome is bang on....Im started to get excited about this...lol
Pics cant pick up just how nice the chrome is, you will have to trust me.
Took me the best part of 3 or so hours to pull the frame decals off (It was rooted.....) then another hour or so to clean the decal residue off......the wife will poop poop poop, I say again, poop when she realises that she is missing half a bottle of Chanel No5, it stripped the goo off with ease...

Would have loved to be able to post a photo from my last run, however, didn't have the camera and her husband/partner might not have appreciated my actions... Been getting through heaps and not out and about much. Down to my last 2.5 weeks so really need to see more of the place.

Nice pics guys. Love your detail shots. Feels like a bike show. I just love checking out the minute details on builds. Can stare for hours.
Well I'm not gonna be in Melbourne tonight after all. Frigging Volcanos!!! Still no Qantas or Jetstar flights out of Tassie. Sorry Mick, hope it's not a relative
Jarvi
Jun 13 2011, 10:39 PM
With the ash cloud being 8000m up I'm not sure why Qantas and Jetstar don't just do the same as Air NZ and fly below it. Their spokesperson on the news inserted the word safety after every third word. I think she had been told to push the safety line. It's a wonder they don't blame their insurers as they are an easy target that no-one can really confirm or deny. Then again, I'm no airline expert so what do I know.
Kurt.
Jun 14 2011, 01:26 AM
I agree James. Qantas and Jetstar and Tiger grounded, while Virgin flying all their regular flights plus extras. It's bullcrap.
