I had and have white bars on a chrome patto Ben, maybe you need colour instead of black.?
My white in the stickers and blue on the crossbar and stem help tie this together.

Kurt.
That looks great Matt. Pads and decals, bars and stem all work.
pr200
I agree matt with a splash of colour (and the white in your PR pads) it looks hot, but it aint cutting the mustard with the black and chrome......I think i will stick to my og plan....
broke L345
Really nicely put together Matt.

i reckon i would gold plate it like Woody's Trickstar laugh.gif

it would only cost f-all compared to you big pooch mate

we have a little chihuahua here mate laugh.gif
Jarvi
I thought the dog would have appeared a bit happier with all the soft dirt to dig up. Our golden retriever always loved freshly dug gardens. Then again, she was as lazy as her owners.

Warm ups from Cairns today
Kyal doing the RL pic, Diesel and Kyal on track, myself and Adam on hotdog patrol and the Wifey and kids doing the VIC logo

Kurt.
Cool pics Matt smile.gif

Nice landscaping C. Man I hate digging.
pr200
Cracking pics Matt, good to see you sporting the "CW" shirt......

Love the shot of Kyal, looks like you guys are having a blast!

Brisben
Christian the garden looks great - low maintenance succulents suit the mid century modern feel of the house

I'm glad you left in the big (I think) Dracaena, they are such lovely "architectural" plants

Funnily enough I took my 5 1/2 year old to the Mt Coot-Tha Botanical gardens on Saturday and she loved the succulent/cacti section - she peaked over my shoulder when I was looking and gave your's the thumbs up, although she would like a few taller cacti LOL

Would Rhoeo suit between the Aloes etc instead of mulch, although they can go a little too far
COASTY
Cool looking track Matt. Looks like everyone is havin a ball. Great stuff.
Volcano
Garden is looking great Christian.......(did u build that downhill track too?....hehe)

Matt - great pics...(love the YMCA...I mean VIC photo tongue.gif )
Glad it didn't rain for u guys...North QLD has copped a fair amount over the last few months.

JMCGT

thanks again everyone, was a hard slog.
Volcano
...........and I thought the Redline MXII & Webco's had a laid back seatpole...........nothing like the Panda's!!!

COASTY
Imagine the wheelies you could do on those! WoW. Nice.
Volcano
I know!........hahaha....that seatpost angle is nuts!

Also.....two different Redline Monoshock frames?.............hmm

Volcano
Ooooh........something else for the 70s fans.........(Alloy Matthews forks?.......wow!)

Volcano
....in 1976 they called them "Shimano" forks...very interesting. smile.gif

Kurt.
Yeah Shimano/Tange/JBM. Cool old article.

Weren't all those Matthews girder forks aluminium?
pr200
Cool piece of history.....great articles...

I just found my old Tange BB spindle today "CV-170" i thought imy proclass cranks were still utilising it but i am obviously wrong, also found the og yellow inners to a set of my Patterson Pads, i just need to find the nylons now....
COASTY
Don't you just love finding stuff you thought you'd lost? I'm going to tear the old mans house apart next month when I go to Sydney.
Mick, those forks look like the ones under my dads house. I'll see what else I can find there.
Loving those Redline Monos.
Jarvi
Unfortunately my parents have moved so nothing under the house of the BMX variety. I did manage to rescue these a couple of trips back. Track pieces were rusted and had to toss them.

COASTY
WoW That Escort is cool james. I have a mate at work that collects these. He has an Escort like yours.
broke L345
yeah all the Matthews forks were alloy. very light.

check out Reilly1s redline in the 2009 boty

COASTY
I was talking to young Mick about Ricks build yesterday. The hole is the only diff I think.
Jarvi
Here's another view Glenn. I remember when I was given this set. A figure eight track and the Escort and gold F1 car. Pre ebay days and bought from the newspaper classifieds. I loved it.

COASTY
Wow thats so cool. That would be worth a few $$$ today too. My mate at work has a massive setup at home. It takes up the living and dining room!
Kurt.
Gotta love 70's Scalextric. Great you still have them James.

I have a mate that still has one of the 70's Formula 1 sets. His mum was always neurotic so all his stuff is still boxed!
broke L345
my brother has an escort MK1 RS1600 or twincam, he'd love that thing. Very nice James.
Kurt.
I have never owned an Esky, but I did own this '71 Mk1 Capri 1600 for a few years. Restored it to original wheels etc. Finally sold her in 1998. All white original interior, low back buckets, sports wheel. Miss that car.

COASTY
Nice Capri Kurt! An old bloke at work just restored his sons Capri. Every nut and bolt resto. Beautiful car. His son passed away 4 years ago.
I've had 4 Escorts now. Another one may turn up very soon too.
Jarvi
The Alan Jones F1 car still has the box/display case. They all need cleaning up as they were sitting in a garbage bag under the house. Not the ideal environment.

Whenever I see a Capri I always think about The Professionals tv program, even if it's a bit later model than yours Kurt.
Kurt.
Bodie and Doyle. Me too James.
Brisben
I've got 9 DVD's worth of Professional's episodes

Love every one of the cars - up to and including the RS2000 they were driving in the later series

Volcano
If u like escorts.........check this! (screaming cosworth engines.......way before Tokyo Drift) smile.gif

Ford Escort drifting
Volcano
and speaking of Escort/cosworth engines....this offroad buggy had an ex-Tony Longhurst (Ford Sierra Shell Racing - Bathurst) engine in it....
Rumoured to be close to 650HP at the flywheel....420HP at the rear wheels......it was wheelstanding off the startline!
Not bad for a 4 cylinder with a hair-dryer attached to the side......LOL smile.gif

COASTY
That would be a fun ride Mick. I want one !
Kurt.
$1 of the little Aussie battler worth $1.09 USD! Holy Crap!!!

Spend spend spend! ........lol

Hey Glenn - have seen this pic of Toby Henderson before?

Volcano
Found these pics too.....

Looks like Peugeot were making Monoshocks as late as 1983.

Kurt.
I'm sure you will find the Aussie Repco Monos we know and love were made up in Taiwan just like the later Repcos. Same bike as the Peugots I bet.
