Kurt - have u seen the "78 Diamond Back frame on Oz ebay?............
Kurt.
Interesting. I suspect that is Blackout Steve"s from Oz and OS-DB. He had a black one he bought at Pomona in Cali years ago. He seems to have dropped out of the scene. I'd love to know the serial...
JMCGT
Steve is in Bayswater, other side of town..

You got that helmet from Jay then. The Patty gear sounds awesome. One day I WILL have a nickel Long!

Yes and other gear from another seller..
Kurt.
Good stuff mate. Nice to see so much Patty gear with someone who appreciates them.
bmxmom

Sam Willoughby racing would be a sight to behold. Sounds like a great trip Matt. Looking forward to pics!
COASTY
Good luck to all the gang Matt. Hope the kids do well.

JMCGT

thanks guys
Jarvi
Your weak Glenn. I've lasted longer than three hours, although I don't have an ear ache like you probably do from some-one reminding you. Maybe I'll do it after lunch.
COASTY
I caved. Still haven't cleaned up.
I thought I'd sort the Street Machine collection. I need a few issues.
pr200
Good luck to the kids Matt, and also to Diesel, you two must be proud dads, well done....

Nice Mags Glenn, although not as old i just through out 4 or so dozen Top gear Mags last week, have a few more to go through too

I found a set of nos black B2's, still dont know why it is so hard to find them in black, i have had most other colours and find it near impossible to find them in black......I am just about to send my F/F away for a polish aswell, will be interesting to see how it comes out......luckily i am chroming my bars as i had them (nos monkey bars) stored in a bit of suede for protection, but for some reason the white has picked up a bit of colour.........strange...

B
Kurt.
I started buying those in 1983 from issue 1 and kept every one religiously through to 1990 when I got married.

Street machine took over from BMX Action mag for me.

Curse the 'fumes (exhaust fumes and perfume!!!)
COASTY
I was the same Kurt. BMXA/PLUS out, Van Wheels/ Street Machine in. I still have to sort the Street Commodores and Fast Fours mags yet. About half as much still. I can't seem to find some mags I know I have. The BMX mags are in the garage safe.
proline2
hi boys wink.gif
nice collection there Glenn, do you have vol 1 edition 1? i think in the early days it was called street machine and van wheels or something like that.

Kurt we have similar stories except i pulled out of bmx mags in mid '84.
Jarvi
I used to love Van Wheels. Spotted an issue a while back at Waza's. One day I will have my Sandman van...

By the way, managed to avoid housework all day even when I could hear the neighbour's vacuum cleaner going.
Kurt.
Lol Allen. True.

From memory issue 1 had a yellow fastback 68 or 69 Mustang on the cover. That was a great mag.

JMCGT
Thanks Ben
I had a frame actually do that in paint..

Hey Allen..
Kurt.
I'm now thinking I didn't start with Issue 1. But is was definitely one of the 83 editions with a yellow two door on the front.
Jarvi
Thanks for the link Glenn. First name I saw there was Paul (revcore). Small world.
COASTY
Heres a bit of trivia Kurt.
That yellow mustang (on the cover) was built at Kustom Image in parramatta and I was there when it was being sorted. It actually had a BBChev motor in it. !!!

Yeah James he is on their with his One tonner.
Kurt.
Cool story Glenn! Yeah spot on. I was thinking it was Chev equipped. Nice Ford actually!
Jarvi
While we're talking cars and magazines, the May issue of Motor magazine has one in there a few of you might recognise. Thanks to Stu for letting me know. And if you read the article, no calling me Ken. Even if you don't read it, there's still no calling me Ken.
Kurt.
Would we do that, Ken?
proline2
i remember an old ad for custom image, they actually wrote "custom damage" to get people's attention laugh.gif

You got some work to do mate. Some odd steel hubs in there. Star shaped steel ones. Don't see a lot of them.
Volcano
Yes mate...the steel "star" shape ones are rare...

Bit of time in the Blast cabinet for sure.......hahaha smile.gif

Do u know what year the steel star flanges came out?
noelg
Well it had to happen , it was only a matter of time . Yep I'm I hospital as we speak nursing a severe dislocated elbow and a partial facial re surface thanks to the bitumen....
All this on a rip stick ,
And coasty we are even on the rip stick injuries !!!
Last time I give in to my sons nagging , I was carving it up good too
time to stick with the pushies
Jarvi
Noel, sorry to hear. Ripsticks are for kids because their elbows and faces aren't as far from the ground. They can be a bit of fun, just don't tell anyone I said that.

Mick, been trying to substitute words into Beyonce's song. All I have so far is "All the single tuffs, all the single tuffs". If I was a really creative type I would have a complete song and video uploaded to YouTube by now...
Kurt.
Good stuff Mick.

I've got a single green UK made one here you can have (the bolt in hub was removed) if you need to make a set sometime.

Sorry to hear that Noel. Ouch sad.gif
JMCGT
Geez Noel, get well mate...
Kurt.
LOL sounds like James knows his Beyoncé lyrics!
