you don't miss much bro! laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

Noel, im still reading his email from this morning... or maybe i should call it a story? tongue.gif
Kurt.
Great decals Mick.

I'm surprised I have never seen a really nice Cinelli build yet. They looked so slick in the ads.

Yeah you are right Ben. Lot of fun for sure, I can't stop playing with my stem lol
Volcano
Kurt - Im sure Waz will have a super nice build..........wonder if he has put the stickers on his frame yet? wink.gif
..............and stop playing with your stem! haha

COASTY
Welcome JD215, Julian. I raced in Canberra once at some Apollo opening? 24-5-1981. I came 3rd. Woohoo!
Good to have another aussie on board. Nice Scoot too.
Norm, That frame/fork/helmet combo is sick. I want it.
Stickers look very cool Mick. I must admit I've never seen a Cinelli build either!
Kurt.
I coul imagine one though. Gold Cinelli frame and fork, polished campy crankset. Gold ambrosios and silver campy sherriff star hubs. All the good Italian gear,,,
Jarvi
Can't say I ever saw a Cinelli other than in the ads. Something different and looking forward to seeing one.

Looks like I have attended my last BMX show for 2011. This will be the first year I miss Roberto's. The pain is eased by realising I will be lazing around in Mauritius, sweating it out in Dubai, wandering around Spain, maybe in Canada. Of course I will also miss the Knox one as I will be in Hawaii again. This is the most planned I have been since I started traveling nearly two years ago.
Kurt.
I'd like to say I feel sorry for you James, but, naaaah....
COASTY
LOl How could you go there and miss a culdersac party in metro Brissy? Shame on you James.
Can I come too?
Kurt.
Can I give a big A+++ for Maxxis Holy Rollers. I have been riding my PK every single day, bitumen, dirt, grass for nearly two weeks. Doing some sprinting practice too - and it hasn't even worn the little moulding nibs off yet. These are great hard wearing tyres - and feel great on dirt smile.gif
Kurt.
Here is a pic especially for James from Weight Weenies Anonymous.

Another 1/4 lb down!

COASTY
Geez you wouldn't want to ride that in the nude! LOL
The PK is lookin good mate.
Kurt.
Thanks Glenn. It's actually much more comfortable than the inflexible standard one - the carbonite webbing flexes. I love it.
Jarvi
No, Kurt that isn't cool. Up there as the worst seat ever. At least you have decent taste with tyres. I used Holy Rollers on a couple of my bikes.

Glenn you're welcome to come along if you will share the costs. AMEX took a belting today with 13 flights...
Kurt.
Are you thinking of the road version James or the MTB/BMX specific D Spyder?
Jarvi
Either, they all look crap. Odyssey Aitken seat is a cool old school looking seat that still has rails.
broke L345
got an Atiken on my ss comaro. padded for my narrow butt.LOL
Brisben
I went for comfort and style on the Nomorea...little bit of suede never goes astray...

COASTY
I need something for my 07 Quad? Needs to have a retro look and be black in color. And I don't like those Retro brand seats.

James, I'll stow away in the luggage compartment.
Volcano
Awesome build Ben - liking the suede seat..... smile.gif

I've never seen this clip before - 70s BMX............yes!

Soledad Sands

broke L345
very cool Mick.
Volcano
Christian - Great 70s footage...some wild tracks back then.

Glenn - found this pic for you - Team Stroker jersey. smile.gif

Where did you get that seat from ? I need me 1 of those ....
Jarvi
I have the earlier version of this seat and it's surprising how comfortable it is, even after 20 miles cruising around the Hollywood Hills which takes it toll on all body parts. The rails are replaceable just in case you do that big superman and don't get the feet back on the pedals and land too hard on the seat.

FlyBikes Fino seat

Looks so much better than that Tioga abomination and only about 4oz heavier. Sorry Kurt.
JMCGT
My method seat is very comfy..
MrProline

sorry i don't have any new school seats to show you boys tongue.gif

I was just thinking that this thread really kicks ass.

just in the last couple of pages there is 70's 80's and modern stuff, amazing we can keep coming up with stuff.

oh and a bunch of awesome like minded people to share it with!! very cool.

anyway...

james, get stuffed, I can't believe you're going os again. (did you sell Ivanhoe?

Matt good to see your seat has fart holes

and Norm you can get stuffed too, bloody polished parts again laugh.gif
broke L345
had a parts change.

still just piecing it together.
COASTY
man that looks HOT! Those forks just top it all off. Very sweet.
Mick, thats a cool pic of the jersey. I haven't seen many on the track.
James, those Flybikes seats look great.
Norm, is that the one posted on Society this week? If not the stamped "Galindo USA" stems seem to be a bit rare.

Yes it's sold. Easier to travel when you don't have houses to look after.
Kurt.
God damn Christian that looks fine! Wow. Just wow.

And I agree. I love the Aussie thread. Feels like home.

James, you have a discerning eye for saddles for someone who is homeless and itinerant! tongue.gif

MrProline
Christian laugh.gif i didn't polish the stem, this is how i got it... and to be honest with you it looks like it's never been used sun_bespectacled.gif

I will update the pic when it comes back from polish laugh.gif j/k

Glenn, no mate this isn't the one that's on Society but if you want to put the pic up there also no probs from me
MrProline
Oh yeah, those forks make that bike!
broke L345
good3.gif very cool Norm.

thanks for the comments guys, I found it very hard to be the first person to use the forks. They are officially no longer NOS. I almost got some old redline forks instead. sad.gif

done now though...I need a drink.
Kurt.
I'm sure I have asked before Christian, but how many G-Boys is that you have now? 4?

* Your refinished blue 8 hole

* Your survivor 8 hole

*Your raw, stunning 10 hole

* isn't there another?

Hey 1981 pages. 1981 was a very fine year for BMX and the year I got rid of my heavy as sh!te dual shock and built a real BMX.
broke L345
yep it's four.

the survivor now has a set of GB forks but I have kept the ashtabulas

the fourth is the only G boy known with a GB stamp rather than the year stamp.

it is going to be gold.

the last gold one I had was traded for the 10 hole.

the 10 and the GB are being built at the moment actually I have been doing the gold one for as long as you've been doing your DB
JMCGT
Pretty sure all galindo stems are rare Glenn....LOL..

Love those forks Christian..

Oh yeah Matt ,se ya wink.gif

Norm - love that Galindo stem...sweet.

JMCGT
LOL.. yeh see ya Saturday mate..
Volcano
Christian - you got me motivated to mock-up another 70s build...
May not be as exotic as the G-boy....but its a monoshock & a bit of Aussie history - the Repco Monoshock.....boing boing smile.gif

Also, does anyone know what factory colours the frames came out in?

Every night this thread makes me smile !

Kurt.
Yep what Glenn said. Any colour you like, so long as it's black!

They are a ball to play around on too Mick, apart from those accursed cotter pins!
broke L345
Thank you all for your comments.

hey Mick just incase you missed it, they came in black.

and nothing will eat your ankles off like those cotter pin cranks.

I remember summers riding in thongs and either stubbing my toe on the concrete or chewing out my ankles.......ah! them were the days laugh.gif

OH and Mick I do love your bike! The seventies Rock! tongue.gif

I always think it's more about the feel of the bike than anything else, and that has it in spades.
COASTY
Yeah I'm still think of a way around those bloody cotter pins, I have been thinking about this shockie since 2005 !
Looks good so far Mick. Try finding an OG seat in good nic !

I took this pic in 2005 when I was still living on the Goldy!
