This is a pic of me over the finish line at Blacktown track as you can see I was sitting down over the line or was I standing ?

It cost me nothin so I'm not fussed. It's actually in top cond. Not a spot of rust anywhere. I might jump it into the broadwater of the sundale bridge first.

My feild trip to my old home town was good. I lined up one of my friends for his old bike that he hasn't riden since 1986. He has given me the bike , but could ask for it back at anytime. It is a survivor and i will clean it up, but cause it's not offically mine ,i don't want to do to much to it cause i might have to give it back in a few years. Here it is...Webco replica...

Hey AjayVBMX,
I raced at the Ryde-Eastwood track across from the old Channel 10 back around 82/83. Filmed a few scenes from BMX Bandits around there also. You from that vintage?
Martin
AjayVBMX
Nov 13 2005, 05:00 AM
I'm an old, old BMXer who doesn't ride anymore, but doesn't mind reminiscing about past good times...
some of you may know me, some may not
Pete Porker has recently been in touch with me about the gathering. Probably next year I may get more involved in the VBMX scene - who knows?
AjayVBMX
Nov 13 2005, 05:02 AM
Yes Martin - I started racing in 1977 and stopped in 1983 or so. You know who I am - one look at my profile will tell you who.
www.martin-bike.com
Nov 13 2005, 05:04 AM
I'm an old, old BMXer also but ride mountain bikes now. People will spit chips if I post any of my mountain bikes up here so . . .
Hhhhhmmm, maybe somebody famous? Tell me you use to own a shop back in the day and still have a warehouse full of stuff??
Martin
AjayVBMX
Nov 13 2005, 05:08 AM
Famous is a dangerous term And fame is time sensitive as well.
No I didn't own a shop - or a warehouse - I was President of Ryde Eastwood BMX for a while.... Cryptic enough?

Nov 13 2005, 05:11 AM
Got it.
At 37, my memory isn't the best. LOL
As for Ryde Eastwood, I was more familiar with my face planted in the dirt.

Hey, gotta try. You never know, maybe there IS a container of two full of stuff somewhere in OZ. In fact, I KNOW there is - the owner is holding onto it for now.
Hey Ajay, you still have that Haro Lightning Bolt plate?
Did I ever mention that I love number plates?
Martin

Nov 13 2005, 05:14 AM
You poor young guy.....wait until you're my age (44) - your memory will be gone AND your vision as well...
Here's another clue - I have an unrestored 1983 race bike in my garage that Pete Porker wants very badly indeed.
