Heres a curly one for you guys.
This is a set of forks I got with a motomag frame about 2 years ago. Have a look at the race seat/stem tube and tell if you notice anything.
After chatting with Ben this morning I'm guessin' Mexicans had a few too many Coronas this friday arvo!
I still can't work out whats going on with this? Almost like it's a replaced stem tube? What do the forks normally have stamped on them?

Hey Mick, if you end up reading this take it easy mate and sing out if you need anything.

Hi guys im back too....

Sadly what im about to say isnt good for my own reputation on the forums..

It was I that said wrong & upset Mick, was only in humour but seems has been taken somewhat very personaly.

There was a pick of mick on his bike on the Saturday GC ride & mick made a comment "Check the guy in the white shirt (refering to himself), looks like he needs to lose a few kilos" laugh.gif

Directly under that I made a post that siad exactly this "Big Round of applause for the fat C*#T" smile.gif

A popular Rodney Rude quote that I have used for many years & always & only in good humour...Even Matt JMCGT & I have slanged it at each other but again only in a joking manner.
NEVER have I thought of Mick as overweight or unhealthy, I wouldnt dare even as a joke say anything like that if I believed the person was truly overweight..

Mick & I have been close mates for a long time & I have never felt to gutted or as low as I do right now, this is the prob with comments online, you cant see the humour in it, as low as it may have been......

So sorry guys if I have degraded myself & more so that I have hurt a stand up guy, it was never meant to be rude or low, ive already lost a very good mate, I dont wanna loose anymore.

Bye...........
QuicksilverBMX
Thats always been the issue with forums, unfortunatley people cant see the humour or the mood you're portraying, its the same with emails and facebook. Even smiley faces and emoticons dont cut it sometimes.

Time heals all wounds so lets hope this friendship can be repaired.
broke L345
know what you mean Craig,

I oddly enough wrote to mick and told him that I hadn't seen what was written but, I have been very sick for the last couple of years my organs are giving me problems to the point of nearly passing out and I told him that it's people him (in how he has changed himself since all the riding) and you and waz that inspire me to just shut up and get on my bike / continue with my life.

I can't comment on how Mick feels, but in the short time that I have known you, you seem like a lovely bloke and one that I am happy to call a mate.

I know the feeling of having written something meant one way but taken another, we can't always know if we hit the wrong button. Sadly, there is something about the way Mick knows himself to be, or have been, that made your comment cut to the core. I know that I have made a mistake simular and know that I would never do any thing to hurt any of my friends intentionally.

I hope Mick can understand that of you, I'm sure deep down past the hurt, he already does.

COASTY
Craig, we all know understand how the internet can be sometimes. Especially late at night.
Just give it time and let things settle down. It'll all come good.
Communication is the key, in person.
84profile
Okay..the internets sucks for contexts and tones...this is a prime example.

I've know Craig for about 20 years and he is one of my best mates, a truely supportive and motivating person that I KNOW was just joking, it was perhaps badly timed and to the wrong person, which obviously struck a cord with Mick. Mick who I have also know for a few years is a cool bloke too, I have seen him shed the pounds and looks very healthy now. I can speak from experience, that as we get older it is easy to add some weight and even harder to lose it..I've had a few jokes poked at me by mates over the years when I've been a bit heavier, and as much as I know they were just messin with me, I have taken it to heart. I truely admire you Mick, for your strength to get fit and healthy, as I know how much effort it can take, I also know Craig thinks the same. Infact, I've been going through some pretty sh**ty times at the moment and Craig has been nothing but supportive, but he will still stick the jokes in, it's just the way he is built, and that is one of the things that is great about Craig, he has always had the ability to make me laugh when things are grim and he also is happy to poke fun at himself..

Mick, I just spoke to Craig, he feels bad for the way he made you feel and truely didn't mean anything other than a harmless laugh...Chin up Mick, please know Craig is a good mate.
ACGTO
I'm sure this will sort itself out guys.

On the bike note I've been laying pretty low trying to spend more time with the kids, getting into racing and loving it and the usual work BS.

A few months back I got the bug back a bit and picked up the following bits for my next builds. Unfortunately they're all just sitting there. I have all the parts but just can't be stuffed building them. Hopefully the bug comes back again soon and I'll finish them off.

Got the proper acorn nuts for these now too thanks to Juan.

I couldn't leave that Nomura sitting there like that, I'd have to build it no matter what.
I do know how you feel though. I have just been in the shed trying to get motivated. Not happening now. Too bloody hot!
