Bikes are better than women because....
You can have more than one bike...if you don't like the way it looks you can change it without huting it's feelings...if it's got a big seat you can put a small one on it...Bikes don't complain if you leave em' in the car....You can throw a leg over your bike anytime....
v8ute
only if they are tiawanese
v8ute

v8ute

Hi guys,

Just checking in. Been offline for about a month, just reading on the work computer - can't post.

Melbourne was a BLAST!!!!

Thanks Trev and Waza for making us Qld guys welcome. And thanks to everyone who helped/took part in the event.

It was great to meet guys who were only names on a screen or voices on the phone ( I'm going to forget some people so don't be offended) Pete Porker - I'd have beaten you if if was a fair race but you had helium in your bike for chrissakes!, Osama-one cool cat and very funny, Velocidad, PaulK, Anthony and I've forgotten the guy that sold me the Raliegh pit bike (PM me), Prosight - thanks again for the seat and I'm flattered at you colour choice for the Quad.

Anyway, I'm off to Ebay to have a look as I have been offline for so long - I think prices have doubled - what did JohnnyChopper get for the suntour pedals?

Next time I look I will probably have to read twenty pages again! You guys type faster then I can read!

-Pete.
OldSkoolRoy

Heres my little fella with his first trophy from tonights meet at Nerang.
v8ute
500 metres from the track, geez glenn, i would be there everyday
COASTY
Yeah it's handy Anthony. if it wasn't gated and locked. My neighbour is the track honcho and said anytime I need the key give him a yell. I need to get some practice to race better.
NSR Jamie
Wow, this is the longest post ever I figure at VBMX....anyway, since everybody seems to be from Australia here I am in need of some help here. I am looking for an old friend....he is from Australia and his name is Gavin Burke. I am pretty sure he is or was a member here and I forgot what city he was from. I have lost his e-mail and just wanted to get in touch with him again. He was super kind a couple of years ago to just give me his Kuwahara LaserLite and I promised to send him pictures when I finished the bike.....I finally finished the bike and wanted to show him but have lost contact. So if anybody knows of Gavin Burke, can you please pass my E-mail on to him or please let me know so I can thank him and send him pictures of the completed bike. Thank you so much !!

Mr.BMX
Boyz :

Does anyone know which Airline service provides group (bulk?) discounts on Airtravel tickets within Oz ???

I'm thinkin' if we all start having some semi-regular meets/bbq's etc we should try and book small groups all at once to save on ticket fares....

Or does it work out cheaper to just get a few blokes together and buy a " family package " or something?

Just a thought ;-)
dugga
hey marty most airlines provide group travel discounts to sporting clubs etc. , best to speak to a travel agent - i don't know the details.
COASTY
I know Virgin doesn't charge for freight of 1 bike if thats all you have. We had 4 bags (including my bike) with our 4 family members. No charge for the bike. My goose aint light either! Jetstar does charge from what I've been told.
COASTY
Scored this today. Crap bike, crap parts but the wheels were worth the $35.

Mr.BMX
GREAT SCORE CostVL,

You know the bike is junk when it has THOSE dropouts on it heheheheh, my favourites, as you know ;-)

Thanx boys for the Airline info, i'll look into it, no rush yet ;-)
The Airline info was mainly for anyone doing an overnighter/weekender trip for a bmx bbq etc etc, otherwise I'll more than likely do a roadtrip when it comes to interstate shows in future, as i'd like to bring more than 1 bike, and see the sites on the way ;-)
COASTY
Yeah when I saw the dropouts I thought "oh no, not again" I saw past that and now I have a decent pair of tuff 1s. The frame looks a lot like the one Jas was showing a few weeks back, oval tubes and stuff. It's an "Antix" brand.
freestyler

Jas the stem is similar to a Vortex. Not engraved like tobys stem on his though. Tuffs are cool. I've been lookin for tuff 1s for a while. They are actually yellow!!! I've already cleaned them up a little. I think I need to perform a "roy" on them.lol
I need a black seat for the cruiser Chris.

Chris,

Yes please! I would never say no to a number plate offer. Did I mention I like number plates? Here's one of my rarer pieces:

Martin
Jarvi
Was scanning a bunch of old photos and stuff and came across this page in the Tasmanian BMX Association program for the state titles on 26-27 February 1983. Check out the guy third in the list for the 8 year olds. Must have decided he had a better future playing cricket than riding.

Obviously Mum didn't realise the heading called Results was where you wrote the results, so the numbers on the left were how they finished.

good score chris so how can you tell if its a fake???
andy since you think every thing is a fake or a repo
please expain to all of us what to look for bowdown:lol

I think the mesh is too small isn't it. Mine was about .5 cm and horizontal/vertical not at an angle like that one appears to be. But they could have changed them later I suppose.
freestyler
hey chris give us a call
re/// gt sticker kit that you wanted
top score bud for $11.00 bucks
