Christian, my plans have fallen apart. I might try something this weekend but it won't be how I want it. Bit down about it all now but the end result will be worth it.
Kurt.
You can't rush it when you want it just so. You'll only regret it if it isn't right smile.gif

I feel your pain!
broke L345
well said Kurt.

I had my next G boy painted with most of the parts ready to go. got it back and the paint was mint but mick posted a picture of a gold G boy....... guess what ? the paint is totally wrong. so I have a mint gold G boy in the wrong colour gold. you spend all this time restoring and getting every thing perfect how can you allow a small thing like that go ahead. it would do my head in if I didn't make it right.

DAMN the frame looks sweet though. wacko.gif
COASTY
Yep, I think i will leave the Stroker until I have it all sorted. The Rampar might get a workout though. smile.gif
Kicks
yep Matt, the 1 x 2m bunnings shed is chockas!

yeah Mick, original nickel and alot of elbow grease.

got this one on the go for my nephew. his Dad is the one i got my other one from.

always amazed how good the old nickel cleans up...

havent been saying much, but always checkin what you guys are up too. awesome as usual. lovin the Gboy and Stroker stuff.
COASTY
Thats a clean frame Danny. Looks great. They do clean up good. You can't kill a good goose!
Just got some NOS fat spokes and the rims are getting chromed. The Stroker will be a few months off thanks to xmas holidays.
Looking forward to riding with Troy when he gets here for his holidays over xmas.
Don't forget to vote in BOTY on Society too. Help keep the aussies and NZ'ers in the game.

Sweet gold hey Kurt!

Decided to do a mock-up of a basic Mongoose.
Thick gauge spoked Ukai's with coaster brake, Black Kashi seat, Ashtabula cranks, Mongoose snowflake, Alps bars, Goose grips & goldstem.
None of the parts are restored...just wanted to bolt it together & see what it looked like smile.gif

Love it!! Looks great...most of my bikes are built in a similar style....like someone was riding it yesterday/survivor smile.gif ......
Kurt.
Yep the sort of bike you saw in your neighbourhood and at the tracks BITD. Unbreakable. The sort of build done with attention to detail, rather than buckets of cash and NOSorama!

Goose frame nickel is outstanding too - has a real depth and soft shine to it.
COASTY
My type of build too. Simple and strong. Like me.. LOL
broke L345
Funny thing, I reckon every kid wanted a Mongoose at some point.

Wasn't just vintage Reece - there was a bit of BMX for everyone - I think all we missed was freestyle

There were two brand new Park bikes there that were made from titanium that were ridiculously light, a couple of modern race bikes, Craig's world title bike, couple of the SE Collaborative repros

and did I mention Vans shouted the beer....

one of the other guys who attended took some really great pics - they are on his blog

Dropouts blog post...

Great pics guys. What an excellent exhibition. Is there a head count of how many people have been through it?

Actually, a Mirc channel would be cool. I have Mirc open every day, as I communicate with a couple of local computer geeks, and I also communucate with a couple of CNC programmers in the US.

The vague head count for the show was somewhere around 800 visitors over 3 days

Plans for next year already underway...

Jarvi
Looks and sounds like people had a blast at the show.

Mark and I went for a spin on the bikes with big wheels, gears and suspension. Although the event was cancelled we still hit a few trails and had a heap of fun.

Nice show on the weekend guys. I still don't quite get the OS stuff, but I'm trying... I do have a 70's BMW though smile.gif

Kurt I may finally get to meet you (and everyone else)

I am due LSL in January 2013 and we are planning are "see Australia" driving holiday!

I know its 2 years away but its gonna take that long to organise (plus I have to sacrifice one of the monaros to get an appropriate car for the trip)

And yes I am keen to do Tassie!

At this stage we will be going through every capital ending up in Brisbane. Except we wont be going to NT (thats for another time)

i responded on your tech help thread and i think here too but as i said i don't have the ability to help you. i believe other mods do but i really don't know. it looks like elvis did respond to your help thread. did you get a pm from him? maybe you could try posting there again. it doesn't seem to help much when i request help on behalf of others so posting there might get some attention for you. i am pretty sure that i am the only one who reads this thread so asking for help here isn't going to get you anything. please let me know if a week after posting in the help forum you still don't get any help.

I really need to watch what I say, you have been a great help as you have responded everytime yet you get no response from other mods & I know it is out of your hands..
I even started a full post in the feedback section & not a single Mod made a post/comment..

I just 4 days ago dropped this PM to 4x of the main admin & mods on this site & still nothing, are they real? -

Anyways I dont wanna make a deal of it anylonger ill just have to go by Skywayman, man, what was I thinking, sounds Gay!
