Thanks for thinking of us down here guys

The central city is pretty messed up. But thankfully, there have been no fatalities.
Just saw some footage of the centre town, it does look pretty messed up...glad to hear all is okay with you guys...I'm amazed that there was no loss of life...with the amount of collapsed buildings...

I thought it was:
Valve stem at 6:00
Tyre logo at 12:00
Hub logo at 2:00
it's the hub logo that really matters though
Norm - you should get a set of those tyres for one of your riders

Mate, I see these poor unsuspecting kids cruising to school on there bikes with the forks back the front...man they don't know what was coming, until the the first turn...talk about steep head angles!!!
Hutch themselves had been know to put forks stickers on back the front!!

I'll see your backward forks and raise you a backwards stem.
A friend of mine brings his kids down to our place to ride bikes now and then. He usually gets stuck with one of his neighbours kids too.
One kids he's bought down a few times has a bike with the stem on backwards and bars leaning right forward to compensate.
The first time I saw it I said that the kid would come off. Diesel pushes them all to ride really hard so next thing this kid turns a bend and goes flying. Face plant on the asphalt. My mate told the kids dad to fix it all up and he told him it was ok like that.
Last week they came down again and Diesel got him going again (Diesel even called it this time). The kid came off again and made a mess of his face. Pretty bad this time.
Apparently the dad still hasn't fixed it. I've got the tools ready next time and will do it myself. Might put the forks on backwards for spite or just to ease him into his new steering.

I don't have a bike related one of those Stu but a bed did give way whilst riding a bike of the female variety once. That hurt the rider a little. The bike came off a little worse though. Didn't do too much damage though, ended up marrying her. Not sure if I should have posted this.

I remember in about 1982, I wheeled out my CBR and decided a few big jumps were in order...well I had cheaped out a replaced a broken Kashimax seat guts with a generic...which was fine, until I came up short on a jump and landed with my butt on the seat and (feet had exploded off the pedals)...this resulted in the post ejecting straight through the seat and through my pants...leaving me leaving me witha nasty gash about 1" to the left of my ring!! Talk about getting shafted!
Now I always make sure that my seat guts has one of those tabs that bend over the end of the seat post...(just in case you ever wondered what that was for!!)
