Hi guys,
Have any of you heard of a australian made mag wheel called a 'starfire'. I was given a 24" one today and it's a NOS seven spoker that has never had any internals fitted. I kinda remember them from BITD in 20" but not 24" any info?

Say, any of you aussies wouldn't happen to have a white Invada plate would you? I used to run one on my GT24 bitd, and I'd really like one for the GT24 I'm going to be putting together. It was a white plate. I can send a photo of mine bitd if it helps

That Quicksilver has had a bigger re-generation than if Amanda Vanstone become Australias hottest pole dancer..... slick restore.
I am really stoked with the finish on my Hutch..... smooth and gloss finish for powder... very happy.. but this is gonna be a slow re-build.
And I fully recomend this shop if you are prepared to send to Bris.

That Quickie looks REAL nice. Especially when you look at the before and after pics. Man, looks like the frame had been left somewhere and forgotten about it for years and years. Great to see you rescued it from complete destruction,

QuicksilverBMX,
Was it not difficult to see that frame in such a condition and to actually get the project in progress? I mean that must be difficult and to finish with what you have in mind?

Cheers guys
The frame was acid dipped and stripped, then sand blasted, then 2 coates of powder coating. The decals were sourced from Pete and applied in the correct position. This frame is my very first resto and it cost me a packet! Anyway, I have 2 other Quicksilvers already and this one is up for sale. I would rather trade it for a Redline MXII or Proline as I have always wanted one.

Reece I knew it was going to be in good hands turned out awesome.
For anyone who was wondering that frame was under my oldie's house for at least 16 years in the dirt but was pretty much like that when I got it in about '84. The guy that I bought it off used to work on trawlers and left it locked up on the dock for days while he was out. I think I payed about $5 for it and my dad always reckoned he was going to 'do it up' for me.
Guess I'll just call you Dad from now on Reece!!

Reece,
The guy parted the bike out I wish I had scored more it had all gold parts, 7b's with yellow spokes and shimano hubs, Pro neck, fluted seatpost and bars, OGK grips, KKT lightning pedals etc..
I think all up he got about $30 for the lot including what I payed for the frame but most of it was less than great condition as with the frame.

Hey Melbourne guys, I'll be in Melb next weekend 6-7 for 2 shows with my band, won't have much time as its a quick in and out (ooh err), but thought i'd give you a shout out not to be rude. We're at the Espy on Fri nite (for my birthday!) and an all ages to bring your kids to at Prahran town hall on Sat arvo-nite.
