Thanks serva....i've got it on permanent loan. (as long as i never sell it) I think it's a 84'? It's Steve Smiths original bike from when he rode in "just trix" freestyle trick team. I've also got his jmc that he used to jump cars with. LOL.

James,

Already have a Stu replica with all red Series 1. Need the black Aero writing on white background for the Greg Grubbs replica.

I'm cool for the 100m sprint . . . on my bike.

Martin

James,

What page is your race plate on? Couldn't find it. Thanks.
Jarvi
Martin they were on http://www.vintagebmx.com/cgi-bin/ultimate...;t=015290;p=186

Here's another that I just scanned in and was too lazy to do last night. Not real clear but I don't have any others.

At the end of the day it doesn't matter that much. Just surprised when I saw it in the photo and thought I'd might as well grab it.

Martin - that BMX Action with Grubbs on the cover is one of the only ones I don't own

The Aero plate - there are quite a few knock-offs around from BITD - recently sold two yellow ones and there is a blue one for sale here (I think Chris is on to it).
OK copies but not the real deal.

PS: Those low-rider bikes are just wrong IMHO - you should check out all the homies over here with them - liek a Harley with no engine LOL

I think you WISH you were involed in a club Andy,,we might be strange but we have a GOOD time and its all about the bike's from the 70's and 80's....

Respect is one thing mate - I like well made stuff - race, mountian - whatever.

The case with those low-riders is the build quality parts etc is not too good - mostly bad chrome, junky Taiwan fall-apart stuff.
I respect the well made stuff.
A lot of those low-riders are like the old knock-off K-Mart BMXs - you dig, homie?

These forums are here to make opinions.
You don't have to agree with everything that's said - that what they are for eh?

COASTY
I wish we had a club up here like that. Theres probably one in Brissie but not here on the coast. I imagine riding a lowrider would be very relaxing. We had a shop here makin custom jobs but they cost a fortune.
Nice pics luis
DMG
198 pages, haven't you guys figured out who is from Australia yet?
AndyDiamond
Chris - I got no beef with your club or it's members - it is cool to get together with mates in a club.
Good on you.

I just don't dig low-riders.
Mr.BMX
DMG: we got no idea hehehehe ;-)
Mr.BMX
As another member of East-Side bike club (Vic), i'm also respectfal & understanding of ALL the different bikes around us.

I dont have a strong liking for low-riders, recumbents or dragsters, yet i am 100% supportive of the guys who are into them, because i'm sure their passion & interest in their bikes is equal to my passion for oldschool BMX.

Most of those guys dont like BMX, and that's fine, we don't go pushing it into eachothers faces or trying to convert eachother into what we think is 'better'.

You dont have to like the other bike styles, but you should at least respect & understand the other peoples motives to enjoy their bikes, just like we do with BMX.

I can agree with Andy that a lot of the lowrider stuff flooding the markets is VERY cheap junk, and the Kmart issue bikes aren't much better.....
What i do enjoy, is seeing that someone has bought a cheap Kmart junkbike, stripped it, painted/chromed it, replaced parts & customised it into a more professional style bike, giving it a new life....

Ride Hard, no matter what it is!
...or walk.
prosight
is that ...or walk... there for me...lol
Mr.BMX
or limp .... ;-)
prosight
thats me....
Jarvi
I saw a guy riding a lowrider through the city one day. Cranks must have been less than 130mm I think and he was pedalling like crazy and not really getting anywhere. Just another form of expression and not wanting to conform to what the masses think. We can all relate to that can't we?
AndyDiamond
yeah, well low riders tend to be about looks rather than function eh?

That's cool bro - the homiez gotta have their bling bling.
lol

So - let's get back to posting some nice BMX stuff and less of the other.
AndyDiamond
...I dunno if you'd be limping from being kicked in the goolies Chris, more like... laying on the ground.
