Bling!!! Nice work Matt...(they look show quality to me)
Im a very happy camper...just got these Work Clamps in the mail today!
Awesome quality & great condition for their age.
Best $39.00 I've spent - and that included postage too (combined they weigh about 3kg each!)
I'll fabricate some adaptors to mount them in a benchvice.
Jan 29 2010, 01:17 AM

Jan 29 2010, 01:30 AM
OMG Matt!!!! Wow...straight to Martin's ebay record page...LOL
Glenn - not sure exactly what u mean?...they were from an old bike shop (so the ebay seller told me).
Jan 29 2010, 01:51 AM
Hey Mick - are they handbrakes for a Monoshock?
Jan 29 2010, 02:02 AM
Oh I see Mick. I thought they had a previous use for something else. Very handy to have for sure.
Try and find a pipe vice for them. That will work well.
Jan 29 2010, 03:05 AM
lol Sorry mate. Nice stems Matt! Now you just need to drill some lightening holes!
Down at Strahan now and finally found a use for julies iphone. Word to the wise if you have wifi at home make sure you put a password on it - don't know whose wifi it is but it's working!
Ski at 7:00 tomorrow morning
Jan 29 2010, 03:15 AM
I would have t ask Dad if i can borrow the drill.. lol
Just wondered if you know Glenn..whats happening with OS, have they changed there name too..??
I am having trouble with there new format...man i hate change.
Jan 29 2010, 04:00 AM
Yeah it's a whole new site basically. All the riding stuff including mid and newschool is in together.
I just click on "new stuff" tag in the top right corner. Much easier. It's designed to get the other genres (ie Mid and New) more involved. I think it will work well once everyones used to it.new site here.
Jan 29 2010, 04:03 AM
nice pick up mick, hey mate send me your number again I can't find it.
Matt nice job on the polishing mate!
Jan 29 2010, 05:04 AM

Looks awesome...great condition.

Jan 29 2010, 06:27 AM
I told him on the OS gboy thread that he'd be surprised how much I would pay for it...... and he was.
It was posted today.
I just can't help myself, I love them.
last year was trully the year of the G boy, I think that makes 5 in Australia, who knows were it will end
I'd better sell more stuff.
Jan 29 2010, 07:01 AM
I saw that thread Christian and I knew you had to have it. Nice pickup! So whats the plan with this one?
Jan 29 2010, 03:40 PM
don't know yet Glen,
I'm pretty sure it'll be gold paint. I think I'm gonna see how light I can build it probably not as light as waza's thouth with magnesium wheels etc. lots of drilled out stuff. I think lots of old track racing gear on it etc........just throwing thoughts around. I like the grass roots B-MX when they started taking parts from track bikes. most components will be non annodized maybe a touch of red.
for now I'll build it up and take it to the ENDO summer thing I'm planning so people can have a ride. Oh and of course so I can ride it.
Yeah I did have to have it, like I said, I can't help myself something wrong in my head.
Jan 29 2010, 03:46 PM
Went for a ski with 85 other folks this morning! Not the world record yet but it is the second highest number ever. We are here all weekend so stay tuned!
Jan 29 2010, 03:53 PM
So now you need to put a shot of yourself up on the thread so we too can put a face to a name!
Here you go Stu, and all.
Did a James type pic today while out for a ride on a nice sunny day. Now you can put a face with the name.
Jan 29 2010, 04:52 PM
Nice pics mate. The Profile looks like a cool cruiser. Good to see it ridden too.
Christian, I was right into the trackbike stuff bitd. I had a few bits on my bikes in the early days from roadies. They obviously have some very cool cranks and brakes. In fact I have roadbike calipers and cranks on the latest bike I'm doing.
Jan 29 2010, 05:26 PM

Jan 31 2010, 06:02 AM
Looks like "someone" needs to get some decals printed hey Glenn...lol
Jan 31 2010, 06:14 AM
I got a quote from a place here in town and for 20 stickers of each one they wanted $110. Pass on that for now. It'd be ok If I could sell them but who would want Champion Cycles stickers? I might have to bust out the printer! LOL
A guy on museum found a bunch of Shimano MX and prism Skyway decals. Just what I needed.
Jan 31 2010, 06:26 AM
Glenn...leave it to me mate
Jan 31 2010, 02:13 PM
Down in Florida now and great for riding and running because it is so flat, although during summer I can imagine the humidity would be a killer. Stayed close to Disneyworld and all the other theme parks for a few days to catch up with a couple of people. Now down on the coast. These photos were taken on I192 in the Kissimmee/Celebration area. The section was chain restaurant, hotel, outlet store, restaurant, hotel...
Was great to be back on the bike after a long break. Planning to catch up with Rickcool sometime next week which I'm looking forward to as well.
Jan 31 2010, 03:34 PM
If you manage to do something with the old "Champion Cycles" decal, i may be keen....
This was purchased from there St Mary's store in 1984, and i always wore there shop decal on my plate, the bike is preety much the same as i raced it but trying to find a decal for the plate...
Jan 31 2010, 06:31 PM
Just caught up on the last few pages, your all regular Seinfields..I've been giggling like a school girl...
Great pics Bill, digging that cruiser, just awesome...and Jarvi your bike is going to be the best travelled bike going around
Me and the little bloke braved the crappy weather today and had an eventful street ride...first time the little bloke has got drenched on a steet bash...I will admit that while I think a good set of old school brakes stop as well as new school brakes in the dry, not so in the wet.
The little bloke found that oout the hard way, he ate concrete, grinding the nice fresh KKT's (sorry Adam) and cracked his NOS Blue Generic MX saddle...just goes to show the generic seats were crap back in the day and they are still crap today...so I might have to pony up and get a genuine Kashimax MX or re-issue Kashimax Aero...
All was good after Toobs and A Lemonade!
Jan 31 2010, 06:56 PM
Computer keyboard grips James, those are bass ass !!!!!
At least the weather is good down there.
Jan 31 2010, 07:38 PM
Stu, good to get the first drop out of the way. Now he can concentrate on just riding and enjoying it. Not sure new school brakes are any better in the wet although haven't tested them yet. I'm still riding around with about 25% braking ability because of a broken barrel adjuster.
Bill, good spotting. Odyssey Aaron Ross grips. Nice and soft and reasonably durable. Yes, weather is better although windy today. Yes, never happy...
Jan 31 2010, 09:24 PM
Wind is always better then rain
Feb 1 2010, 01:13 AM
keep the pics coming James, did you go to the epcot centre? I loved that place. infact I didn't mid Orlando at all.
you've gotta get better pics than that of Miami.
Profile, good to see he's OK!
Feb 1 2010, 01:14 AM
Your a good man Mick.
Ben, I will see what I can do in the sticker dept. One day I might get a batch made. I had them everywhere bitd. I still have a bunch of old ones on my toolboxes and helmets.
Feb 1 2010, 01:55 AM
I only just ripped my "Champion Cycles" decal off a few months ago, i even called Champion Cycles last year to see if they had any of the old stickers left, sadly only the newer ones where available....lol
I travelled from Country NSW with my dad back in '85 to get that Patterson, still as clear as yesterday, thats why i have vowed never to sell the og Patterson, far to many memories..
