Cool pics Fellas. What's the story with the shark Glenn - is that a kid's playground!?!

How did you go James? Not too hard to dodge the bikini-clad rollerbladers?

Sweet CW Matt. What's the story on that? NOS complete???

Great story James , keep the photos coming . I've ridden along that same beach , it can be very "eye opening" to say the least . Have you had In 'N Out Burger yet ? It gets crossed off my To Do list every time I am in California .
Brisben

Happy birthday Danny (Kicks) - have a great day mate !
Jarvi
Thanks guys. No much bikini action compared to Hawaii. I quickly lose patience, even when just walking or running, in tourist areas because people just don't understand the keep to the right rule. I fail to understand how people can walk along and see the majority on one side of the path and yet they don't bother to do the same. I usually just hold my line and they move. And don't get me started on the idiot who invented the retractable dog leash that extends to about five metres long. Oh the hassles I'm having...

No In n Out Burger yet. Trying to avoid all fast food at the moment because once I start I won't stop. I'm an all or nothing ind of person. That said, points to them for having a nice simple menu (except for the hidden items) rather than too many choices like everything else.

Happy Birthday Danny.

Guys, I'm about to put a swag of stuff up for sale soon, as I need to thin out, in preparation for a "grail" acquisition. I'm putting both my 1983 GT completes up for sale, plus the 1981 GT junior frameset, 1983-84 GT Junior handlebars, Sugino 400 crankset, Araya 1 1/8 NOS rims and 4x Comp III rainbow label tyres, and possibly my 1983 Patterson PR240 frame/1983 GT 24 forks, along with a bunch of other stuff.

If any of you are interested, email me, as I would much prefer to give Aussies and NZ'ers first shot at these parts/bikes, before I offer them stateside smile.gif

My email is: axsyscnc@ihug.co.nz smile.gif

Hi People,
My names Shannon, live in Perth Western Australia and just joined VBMX. Ive just, after 4 years of looking, found my childhood bike to replace my original which parted ways around 20 years ago and ever since then wanted another (and to feel young again ) Scored it off ebay a week or so ago, just waiting for it to arrive in the mail so I can start a simple resto nothing over the top just a clean up as the goose is nice and original.

A couple of photos..

Hey welcome Shannon. Always good to see another Aussie on VBMX.

Sweet looking Supergoose - that'll clean up beautifully. Few collectors over your way nowadays - QuicksilverBMX (Reece), Bradster (Brad), and others - I'm sure Reece can let you know when the next regular Perth vintage ride day is.

Cheers Kurt (in Tassie)

Hey Shannon, & Welcome, This is addictive stuff, I wanted to clean up my old Quicksilver 1 1/2 years ago & now I have around 15 bikes & 6 dragsters (oops forgot I got a new school giant today for the cranks).

Hi there Shannon. Good to see another Supergoose among us.
You will find Waza' site www.vintagemongoose.com a great source of info.
Most parts seem to be on there already. The rear brake looks wrong and grips but you have all the expensive bits ! Great buying.

hey Shannon, good one. will clean up a treat.

the thread linked below is what that got me started again. even though i had already gotten rid of my car and was on my Gt cruiser for daily transport, this got me hooked. lots of good resto hints and pics. might be alot to take in, but watching it as it unfolded was mega inspiring. but i stil cant dig Mooses...

Hi Shannon,

Welcome to the site! You just missed our annual Perth old scool bike show in Fremantle (unless you went and I missed you) Anyway, a bunch of us ride friday nights from hamburger hill, just a catch up and natter about bikes or whatever. Its a good place to meet everyone and network (trading parts and helping each other out is a big part of it!) anyway, let me know if you are interested and I'll give you all the details.

Good luck with the Supergoose, looks like a nice project!
