Mark, the name was originally a play on words BITD and I noticed in the profile page that you can choose an alternate publicly displayed name so I went with the other spelling as it makes more sense.

Great news about the printer! Can you bring the decals tomorrow? I'd love to see how they turned out.

Does anyone remember if there was a race team called team cobra which raced bikes by the same name in oz.
OldSkoolRoy
Yeah there was a guy at my track at beenleigh that wore a cobra jersey. It was white with a green and red Cobra...i think. He wasn't sponcered but was very fast. Terry Mishkey. He stoped racing in 83'-84' and rode motor-x.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRUCE (ozdirtboy)!!!

Must be something about old school that churns out quality people . . . Bruce is one of them. He's an awesome rider and the SICKEST jumper I've ever seen in real life.

Finally found a few photos that I could easily scan so best to introduce myself properly. These were taken late 82/early 83. Hutchs became pretty popular in Tassie as well, with me and the lead guy riding them and if you look closely there's another two on the gate for the next race. Only person I can remember in this race is Jason Roberts on the Quicksilver. Same age but about 20 kilos bigger than me which made a difference...

This track was at Hobart. I liked the Burnie track the most followed by this one. Burnie was good becuse lots of downhill.

www.martin-bike.com
Cool photos Jarvi! I wish I had more from BITD but I wasn't lucky enough to be sponsored.

So, do you still have your bike and threads?

I raced a Hutch also BITD - still have it. Gave it to my nephew to ride for a few years. It came back a rust bucket. That's going to be a tough one to resurrect.

Martin - not too many photos actually. All up I think I have about 30 spread over a few years so not many. Wasn't sponsored (wasn't good enough) just had all the gear. My attitude is always the same, look like you know what you're doing and hopefully that will psych out the competition before you prove that you don't. Worked on the golf course until you hit that first shot.

Down in Tassie I can only remember a few being co-sponsored through shops with Quicksilver, GT and possibly Diamond Back.

Had a great day today and was good to meet a few of you. Hard enough to remember one name let alone when you have to remember two, ie proper name and username here. Will post some photos soon.
