Volcano
Christian - Gonna get a 10 hole G-Boy then? tongue.gif

Glenn - We can add to that back window for sure!!!!!!!!!
Jarvi
Mick, time to get up to Scott's to pick up the cutter. You could fill that back window for Glenn then maybe add a few go fast stripes.

Glenn, you need to put a couple of seats against the tailgate like I saw here yesterday.
broke L345
been looking but only half heartedly at the moment, cash still short.

I was out on a job today and in the backyard of this place are about 20 frames, all clunkers except for 2. A haro Freestyler and a Mongoose wirewheel. Does anyone know anything about the Mongoose. I have never seen a goose frame with no matchbox in the chain stays. I thought it may have been a madison but its not. Any ideas

I dont have oics cause the bikes are not in my possession YET lol.

OMG! Just finished watching Stompin' Stu...Awesome! good2.gif
Never realised that the tubing for the Flight cranks were made by Tange!!!

One sweeeet Nat Pro Martin. Bling biggrin.gif
www.martin-bike.com
Yes, absolutely awesome. Stu was THE inspiration for me getting into BMX.

I didn't even realise Tange was pronounced that way!
Jarvi
I need to find a way to automatically post "WOW" straight after your posts Martin. That National Pro is amazing to have survived like that.

Was always a Stu fan rather than a Greg fan when I was racing too.

Martin there's a thread somewhere about the variations in pronunciation for the word Tange.

Martin Post Alert: WOW!

That is stunning Martin...

I'm having a good day too...

Well as some of you know, I've been whining about getting a Turbo for a very long time, and today that whining has come to an end. I've had no less than 5 deals for complete turbo's in every different state of condition go south, after about 4 years of collecting this one finally showed up....even this one had it's share of nail biting moments, but I have to say it was well worth the wait...

Don't get me wrong it certainly isn't without it many surface blemish's but the strange thing is, I can't see any evidence that it has been ridden! There is absolutely zero wear on the tires, pedals, cranks, brake pads etc...there are many many scratches in the smoked finish, but they appear to be from poor storage...it is nice to finally to get a good look at the original smoked finish, which shows an inconsistency of thickness and has a definite purple haze to it...beautiful with the silver decals...The rear tire is very perished on 1 side only, which seems like it has been sitting in the sun on one side for many years....the decals are O/G...actually every last thing is totally OG...right down to the DB Turbo suede saddle! This thing is my 2nd favorite right behind my childhood Profile. I'll get some better shots later, just thought I'd share this will you guys for now...

Stu thats a damn fine Turbo. Looks very nice. OG is cool.
Jarvi
If those Peregrine bars are still straight (many bent) and you don't wish to keep them then contact TIMO who is a member here. He missed out on a set I sold on ebay a while back. Just let him know I mentioned it.

Weird set up for a mini. Huge bars, bar ends and the seat angle!

Oh James, did I mention that I don't care how nice it probably is in Hawaii? sun_bespectacled.gif

Why am I turning green?
Jarvi
I said to myself that I'd only mention it once a week Stu, however, seeing you mentioned it, yes very nice (again) today. Actually put on a shirt today which made a change from yesterday.

Figured you might have nabbed a Turbo after your comment in the thread about keeping tyres in decent condition when you said you had a couple of sets now. Always good to hear a success after a long chase.
Volcano
Stu - AWESOME Turbo...cant wait to see it in the flesh...well done! good2.gif

Troyboy - great score! I didnt realise the Mini had FMF style dropouts?...very cool.

James - How hard can u rev your Porsche...just asking cause it's making a weird noise now?.....hehe sarcastic_blum.gif
COASTY
LOL Good one Mick, whens it my turn?? Don't kill it just yet.
Sumo178
84 Profile do you know the history of the Turbo? the bikes that came out in 82 were team issue so there might be a good story behind it.

I just scored an 82 Laser Lite (prototype) I'll get pics up when the camera is charged.

So my 83 Laser Lite F/F and bars are up for sale. I'll put pcs up of that when the batteries are charged as well.
Volcano
We need pics Jake!!! Cool score mate!

Glenn - Here's a quick video of us "recharging the battery" in the Porsche...dont want it to go flat while James is away... wink.gif

Mid to late 1980? Andy Diamonds Looptail Quad that he had (powdered white) had the early non drilled Landing Gears. As for the centreline style ones, I would be guessing they are some kind of prototype or specials for RL.
JMCGT
?? you mean early 80's..?

Thanks Matt biggrin.gif

Hey Troyboy - Im gonna go out on a limb here & say u have at least a 1979 mini ripper or earlier...(may be wrong)
The dropouts on this 1980 Mini are after the FMF style...

I meant mid to late 1980 like I typed smile.gif But it looks like they were a bit later.

The June 1980 issue of BMX Action shows the Quad Angle Killer Kit with the Cycle Pro fork. Not a Landing Gear in sight. However, the first photo I found of Landing Gears is a) RL Osborn on the cover of the January 1981 issue, jumping through the fire. He's hauling the centreline ones. But in the February 1981 issue, Scot Breithaupt is running Landing Gears on his Quad.
