Ben - nah its not going to be filled with Helium

OK - re the gold chain, I put it on because of the gold CD sticker and although it looks crap in the pics, its pretty cool in the flesh.

Piker i'm looking for TX-500 decals myself

Kurt - thanks mate!
Biscuit
Didn't realize how much of a difference those last few bits would make. It looks fantastic Reece.

I hope you used NOS helium gas laugh.gif
Piker
Just stiring Reece, the gold chain shows off the CD decal nicely.

C'mon then, anyone got two sets of TX 500 decals!
ACGTO
Looks great Reece.

Damon - They were AC Bars in 1973. I have the only set of those stickers ever known to exist.
ROBERTO

Very tidy build Reece. .5s were the best Oakley grip although a tad soft.
AndyDiamond

I always liked how the .5s got nice and tacky when they got hot'n'sweaty - lol

That is Tom Pszenny's site. Most of those cruisers he no longer owns. He is a really good guy.

Some really nice cruisers. Especially his 1983 Robinson 24, is a very rare bird indeed.

I have decided to just collect cruisers, which is why I have both my 20" GT's up for sale. (Plus eventually the mini frameset). I'm chasing one of my "grails" at the moment, and need to move both my 20's to cover it. Plus it helps make more room by reducing the number of bikes by one (remove two twenties, and replace with one twenty four smile.gif )
QuicksilverBMX
which cruiser are you chasing Mike?
JMCGT
My guess is a JMC..

I would love a GHP cruiser..
COASTY
I'll guess a Kuwahara 24" or a rare as DB 24"
ohmy.gif
Kurt.
mmmm DB Cruiser... I'm happy with my Hutch 24 and my Kos as far as cruisers go - only really want 20's now - but I'd make an exception for one of these!

QuicksilverBMX
I didnt realise DB did an old school cruiser?

any idea what these 2 frames are???

COASTY
First frame looks like a Vortex and the second maybe a Crisp or Maxxim maybe?
My sons Vortex before it's makeover. The brakebridge is the same as the first one of yours.

My other Vortex.

Brakebridge
QuicksilverBMX

Thanks Glenn

The 2nd frame has Patterson style forks and headtube but isnt
JMCGT
I would say the first is a Vortex and the second one is an SLA Reece,??
I just packed one up today to send to Melbourne..very similar fork, rear drop ,brake bridge and head rings..
QuicksilverBMX
did SLA do frames other than Alloy? because that orange one definately isnt
Kurt.
SLA experimented with lots of one-offs Reece. Although their best known designs were aluminium they did pro and cruiser frames in cro-mo too.

As far as I can establish, those DB Cruisers were factory team only, so very very rare.
JMCGT
yeh chromoly ..could be a crisp too huh.gif
mcam
Well, I have been offered both my grails, a RRS 24 and a JMC 24. However, I'd only be able to go after one of them, and the JMC isn't in the right condition for me, so I am chasing a particular RRS 24.

As for the Kuwahara 24, well, I have one of those slowly coming together smile.gif

QuicksilverBMX
coming up nice so far Mike.

Does anyone know where to get the "K" decal for Laser lite seatpoles and bars?

Just in case you are wondering who I am, I went away for a while, sure I was missed! Not!

My name was Iwantotbuyahutch and I got the shaits and canceled my access. Decided to come back the same as my OZ account name.

Anyway, now that piece of useless information is out of the way, please resume with normal transmission.

Yeah, I agree. I don't contribute that much, but I think I will just stick to contributing to this thread to save my blood pressure!
