OK - re the gold chain, I put it on because of the gold CD sticker and although it looks crap in the pics, its pretty cool in the flesh.

Very tidy build Reece. .5s were the best Oakley grip although a tad soft.

http://www.pszenny.com/tpbmx.htmThat is Tom Pszenny's site. Most of those cruisers he no longer owns. He is a really good guy.
Some really nice cruisers. Especially his 1983 Robinson 24, is a very rare bird indeed.
I have decided to just collect cruisers, which is why I have both my 20" GT's up for sale. (Plus eventually the mini frameset). I'm chasing one of my "grails" at the moment, and need to move both my 20's to cover it. Plus it helps make more room by reducing the number of bikes by one (remove two twenties, and replace with one twenty four

)

which cruiser are you chasing Mike?

I would love a GHP cruiser..

Aug 28 2009, 10:48 PM
I'll guess a Kuwahara 24" or a rare as DB 24"
Kurt.
Aug 28 2009, 11:49 PM
mmmm DB Cruiser... I'm happy with my Hutch 24 and my Kos as far as cruisers go - only really want 20's now - but I'd make an exception for one of these!

First frame looks like a Vortex and the second maybe a Crisp or Maxxim maybe?
My sons Vortex before it's makeover. The brakebridge is the same as the first one of yours.

My other Vortex.

The 2nd frame has Patterson style forks and headtube but isnt

Aug 29 2009, 04:09 AM
I would say the first is a Vortex and the second one is an SLA Reece,??
I just packed one up today to send to Melbourne..very similar fork, rear drop ,brake bridge and head rings..
QuicksilverBMX
Aug 29 2009, 04:31 AM
did SLA do frames other than Alloy? because that orange one definately isnt
Kurt.
Aug 29 2009, 04:51 AM
SLA experimented with lots of one-offs Reece. Although their best known designs were aluminium they did pro and cruiser frames in cro-mo too.
As far as I can establish, those DB Cruisers were factory team only, so very very rare.

Aug 29 2009, 04:56 AM
yeh chromoly ..could be a crisp too

Aug 29 2009, 05:53 AM
Well, I have been offered both my grails, a RRS 24 and a JMC 24. However, I'd only be able to go after one of them, and the JMC isn't in the right condition for me, so I am chasing a particular RRS 24.
As for the Kuwahara 24, well, I have one of those slowly coming together
