Wow there are some awesome bikes getting completed and they just look ..... well.....awesome. Martin that Patto cruiser is perfect. Its been a while since I been here and sooooooooo much to catch up on. Once I push the enter kee here I am going for a ride.... fully motivated.

I know that we all love our bikes here and some of us love cars but we all love toys. If anyones interested I have these as part of a clean up at home.

Going through a few of my old pics when i pulled my original bike out from under Mum and Dads house, crazy what goes through your mind, i was so close to dumping this in a council clean up as i had no idea about restoring my ride, then you get a bit of info (thanks again Matt!) and the bug bites..........

Yeh Kurt, I really was so close to throwing it out, I had no idea that there was this underground community of old school bmx peeps until i tripped over JMCGT/mroldskool/Matt on the museum and then BANG, i was hooked, with every waking hour thinking about bikes and my next build, so was stoked when i found another Patterson, looking forward to building the new one biggrin.gif

Traffic is bad here!

The cafe is a custom motorcycle store with old BMX bikes on display too - very cool.

Kurt that Quicksilver is owned by a guy i used to race in the early 80's, Scot Lynch.
He found it at Ashmore bmx track on the Gold Coast as is being riden by a young kid.
Offered him some cash and he yes, i think that's how the story goes.

The back of the plate reads "quicksilver helium surviour" but i think that could be Wayne MacIntosh's plate, he ran number 9 and Invader plates around that time.

Scottie doesn't do forums Kurt. He is a member of Nerang bmx club though. He is a great guy. He was a factory SE guy and toured with Bubba and PK when they were here. He told me some amazing stories too.
