He had it up on the weekend and it didn't sell then when it was back up I thought I should have a crack. Also got a nice set of hubs off him too.
Will be selling a bit of stuff to recoup some coin and then focus on building a few of the frame/fork sets I have.

MCAM I was kidding!
But (and this is not a poke at the bike it is awesome!) was he building it like the bike shown above? of the OG release for the profile?
OG Profile didn't have a Lock Jaw it had a Pro Neck as does the one above it also ran Cheng Shin tires. If it was an all profile build buy a nos seat clamp off Ed from Colored Tuffs he had nos ones in every color.
Its just what I would have done... but I'm building my Profile as an Eric Rupe replica so its a touch cheaper to build.

Mick I'm catching you with Tange builds.
81 KZ1, 82 Rhino III, 82 HotHeart (heart gusset) and an 83 Laser Lite.
Just want the first Kuw and I'm done with Tange/Kuwahara.

Jeff Haneys Profile *does* have Cheng Shin tyres, just like the test bike. And he does mention that instead of the the Tuf Neck, he put the Lockjaw on, because he had it there. I dont recall Lockjaws. When did they come out?
I dont get the seatclamp statement though. Profile seatclamps were way later?
Jeff Haney still has a Profile double bar though (among a LOT of other bikes

)

Lock jaw stems were 83 and the seatpost clamp were late 80's i believe..

Thanks guys! The bikes came together pretty quick...figured I needed to finally bring a bike (or 5) Roberto's gathering.
Jake - We need to see picks of the Tange & Kuwa builds!
Matt - Yep! Was a good year...more to come I think
Stu - That DB even surprised me...LOL...dont think I've seen a DB with yellow tuffs & gold bars before.
Kurt - I'm on a roll...next inline will be my 85 Californian.

That Profile of Jeff's is pretty cool - but for that price I'd expect some better grips and brakes than crappy MX3s and an 890 - lol
Adam - that Hutch is awesome - pink eh - every girls' colour - lol.
We are no going to be asking to see your pink bits - hee hee.

PS: dunno if you guys saw the thread at OSBMX but my insurance company paid out for my Hutch theft.
I 'only' got the max payout (minus excess) that is available for un-itemised bikes but it's OK.
Probably about half what it would cost to rebuild both but I'm happy - as much as insurance companies get a bad rap these guys came through with the best deal they could offer according to my policy.
So big thanks to Matt (JMCGT) and Mike (mcam)
for helping with valuations and testimonials for the insurance claim - beers on me!
Also a good point to check your own insurance policies to make sure they reflect what the bikes are actually worth.

Yeah I hear ya, but last time Reece ended up calling me in a pannic cause it wouldn't allow him to make a bid, and I got 4 emails for a set of 1976 torker decals after they sold for a basement price claiming they couldn't bid on that item either.
not sure if esnipe bids work during that time or not

Hey guys,
Couple of quick questions for the Australian guys.
1. Does anyone here know or have regular contact with Freshmale (Josh)?
2. If your answer to question 1. is yes, is anyone going to be attending Interbike in Las Vegas this year?
Basically what it boils down to is that I have a frame for him but none of my local carriers will ship it down under without signing away my first born. I live four hours drive from Las Vegas and could easily make the trip. Maybe I could con (or at least convince) one of you to fly this frame back to Australia with you and ship/deliver it from there.
Let me know.
Thanks.

Boss hog,
A f/f shouldn't be any more than 70.00 or so. I have had a bunch of them shipped. but you need to use USPS and get tracking on that. I'm sure others will chime in if I'm incorrect.

The frame is prototype/team model that is NOS so it is packaged up fairly well. When I went to the post office, they told me the dimensions were too big to ship to Australia. The second post office told me the same thing. It isn't like the box it came in is huge. It is not much bigger than any other BMX frame box. Maybe I will try to shrink it a bit and see how that goes.

I have come across this problem a couple of times and have found that if the box is JUST bigger that the frame length then it should get through. I don't know what their length limit is, but it must be close to the length of a frame. Glad we are shipping BMX bikes over the Pacific. Road or Mountain bikes would be a nightmare.

Well you should would deserve to pay more if you were riding a road bike!!!
I've had many completes shipped for around $180...just need to get it under the maximum size...once it is over and you go to ups or fedex you will have to pay with your kidneys...as already stated about $70 - $90 with the forks out of the frame would be about right....

It ends up being about $1K AU shipped, which isn't bad considering the parts list. Not a Torker lover myself, but surely someone will snap it up shortly. Don't hesitate Craig!
And Stu, what's wrong with Road Bikes and wearing skin tight lycra in public? The only issue is might my reaction if I stare too long at some of the babes that also run along the same pathway as I ride.

There are some benefits to riding Road Bikes!
