=================================================

AN 80-year-old German woman whose handbag was snatched from her bicycle basket by a passing cyclist gave chase on her own bike and recovered her stolen property.
As she pedalled in pursuit of the 41-year-old thief through the western town of Buerstadt, she alerted a driver who stopped the culprit and held him until police arrived.

"The woman had the guts to say, 'I'm not taking that'," a police spokesman in nearby Darmstadt said.

Police retrieved the bag and returned it to its owner.

Nice parts Adam. Didn't realise your were that important that you needed to get a hand model in to hold the parts for photos though. I thought I had tickets on myself...
broke L345
hey Adam, nice!!!!!! I just love those profiles, I'm sure by now you'd have quite a crank collection. Just awesome!

Matt don't know anything about those cranks, can you fill me in they look sweet!
84profile
Between Matt and Adam...you guys never cease to amaze me, you must dig real deep to find this stuff...oh yeah and can you send those pictures to Profile and remind them how the used to build a great crank set!! rolleyes.gif
ACGTO
There wasn't any digging on my part for these. Matt saw them on bmxmuseum and I think it was just that nobody had the balls to upset their wife enough to buy them.

I'm already in counselling so thought stuff it!

Nice set of NOS Son-Lites on ebay at moment.
84profile
Yup, I'll give you that, you are one steelie dude...does your councillor take old school trades as payment!

yeah and another set of gen 2's...on ebay at the moment too... well used though!

Son-Lites....choke, choke...looks like I'll never have set again! Geezus! A couple more photo's wouldn't hurt, for those sort of bucks...I've had a couple of run in's with that guy...his term NOS is a little looser than mine huh.gif

Bars went out today. Did you post my goodies?

Those Son Lites up for sale are nice! Expensive, but nice smile.gif

Got them packed ready to go Mike. Will get them out first thing monday.

Got some son-lites but nos ones would be nice. I remember when he won those hubs and he paid about $1100 for them.

Thats cool. Hehe, I know what it is like. Things are a little crazy at the moment. My work is hitting hard times. We're dropping to four day weeks (with an appropriate cut in salary), plus there will be at least 23 redundancies. I'm supervisor to three guys and they are all really worried about their jobs sad.gif

Not long now til Roberto's...how's everyone going with their builds?
84profile
I don't have much exciting to show...I think I'll drag along the updated Cook Bros, maybe the Trickstar, (which was saved due to a good week at work) and my Pro Racer to pedal around...Kuwahara ain't finished and everyone has seen my Profile a bazillion times, and same goes for the GT and the DB...

That being said, I can't wait for the day, it sounds like there is going to be a bucket load of people there and some sweeeeet builds...can't wait to see yours Mick...really hoping the weather holds out too!!
Brisben
I've got two new builds up my sleeve

(fingers crossed on a box of bits arriving for one of them though)

One day, I am going to skip bike parts, and buy a ticket to Aussie, to attend one of the shows! But right now, that really isn't a possibility :/
JMCGT
You should Mike...Lifes to short

Bring your profile Stu, I havn't seen it at a show yet, so i,m sure 100 others havnt either..
Iwantotbuyahutch
I haven't seen the Profile either Stu. Bring her along if you can fit it in.

Nothin new from me. I'll be riding and trading a few things.
Can't wait to get there though. I'm hoping to hit Elanora skatepark sometime Saturday.
AndyDiamond
Just checked out that KKT score. Pretty cool. I hope that guy got non drive arms for those cranks - lol.

He says he paid over $2k for that stuff (presumably Canadian $).
What are 9/16 NOS Lightenings worth?
$100 US a set?
Brisben
Here's a little teaser/sneak peak of one of my builds for the show.... smile.gif

Sweet previews boys..can't wait...

I did actually make a very minor update on my Profile recently...I added one of my favorite all time parts...I didn't think I would ever find a set of AME Fini's in black...but finally scored a set from Juan Matto's awhile back, then I got a few more sets from him in blue, red, grey and red...I love em' and they were all NOS...then Mike (MCAM) listed another set, and even though I didn't need them I couldn't resist...do any of you guys remember these???....a big thanks to Juan for letting them go!

They are the most totally over complex set of grips ever designed...but I loved em' BITD

All these bits, just for a set of grips

Sumo178
I have a set in black with blue grip part on my Phaze 1. If you want to move a set let me know.
ACGTO
now I'm really pumped for Roberto's. Son-lites got laced for my bike today and I pick them up tomorrow. Should finish the bike off really nice.
COASTY
I had Finis on my PK and they were cool. Lookin forward to seeing the new rides too. Rob tells me my Vbars are done so I have a new ride too.
Volcano
Does anyone know if Gary is coming down (and is he bringing the bunny-hop stand)?
ACGTO
you gonna have a crack Mick?
COASTY
Mick, Gary is racing at the titles. I was supposed to grab the stand of him. I'm going to try and grab it on his way through.

Finis... cool grips, but (and it is only my opinion) they sucked in terms of durability. The flange tore really easily, and the grip itself was really soft. But, they DID look cool, especially when two toned..

I was going to find a blue set to mix and match with my yellow set, and put them on my PR240. However, Cruiserqueen was the only person to have some up for grabs at the time, and I could never get any sense out of him. In the end the yellow ones went to Stu, which is where they belong smile.gif. Of course, one day, Stu will find me my dream set of first gen GT hubs, that I forever am searching for... hahahaha smile.gif

One day, one day, I am going to make it over to one of your Aussie shows! smile.gif

Got a nice package today, a sweet pre-serial Pro Racer. I wasn't in the market for one but a few things made it a 'must have'...

I know what you mean - sometimes you just gotta have it!!!!

I've had 3 of those instances in the last month

and now I keep telling myself "builds take time"

so I am reading old mags to take the time up until I can buy more parts.... biggrin.gif
Volcano
I've been downloading the old mags too Ben...Awesome reference info! (Thanks to Simon - JohnnyRingo)

Adam - No crack for me....I got a new belt..haha biggrin.gif
I dont think my bikes would take the landing to well with me on them...plus I haven't jumped a bike for 20 years!

I like those Fini grips too, especially since you could change the colour combos.

Blue/red Fini combos on a JMC look cool.

Yeah, I've seen a another couple of bikes that will be making there debut at the show...and they are off the hook! Looking forward to catching up with you on this side of the pond Kurt...

Hey Mike, I'm down to my last 2 set of first gen GT hubs wink.gif ... mate, I keep seeing them on ebay...just gotta be quick on them! Incidently, the mix'n'match theme of the fini's is pretty cool and one of the sets Juan sent me was pre-packaged as blue/yellow the GT colours...so they might make it onto my GT...I've also got blue and red, just no JMC!!!

Adam, don't take offence if I can't look too closely at your Son-Lites! laugh.gif But just quietly, they will look insane on the National Pro!!!
