Kurt.
And poor old Swiper the fox - the Wile. E. Coyote of Dora. One of these days I hope he eats her. Might have to wait for the R rated version I guess...
ROBERTO
Cool Stu! One large will be waiting for you.
Volcano
Interesting pedal/crank arm adjuster...

Jarvi
So are the holes in the arms to make up for the extra weight of the adjuster or the mud?
84profile
Wouldn't mind seeing the little fella crank with the pedal in the top hole! Now that would be funny...can't imagine, much "snap" out of the gate! Other than the crank arm!

Nearly 22000 posts??? This thread is awesome, and you Aussie guys are legends.

Stu - Trickstar.....................

She;s a beaut mate - why the sale?

....I'd love it wub.gif
QuicksilverBMX
yeah i saw that, selling up Stu??
Jarvi
I think Stu needs to make room for a life-size Dora stuffed toy and so the Trick Star has to go.
JMCGT
My guess is Freestyle just isnt Stu's thing..?

Stu, don't let the misses fool you. You don't need to buy her an eternity ring until at least a year into marriage.

Loved building the Trickstar, but I'm a racer/jumper at heart...personally it is my ultimate freestyler, but I just at that into freestylers...the wife, isn't pressuring me at all, in fact she is the reverse...I think I like staring at them (bikes) for a year or so then, I then I want to stare at something else...plus spent a little too much in Europe over the 3 weeks......either that or Dora's mate swiper has hit my bank account....little prick!

Got some more goodies coming up....

I'm doubtful that anyone will cough up the right coin for the complete Triskstar, and I will have to part it... although I've had a few offers, and if they doubled them they would be getting close....
Volcano
Sweet Trickstar Stu!

Help guys...anyone got a Mongoose 28 tpi locking nut for a BB set? Need one to finish a build for Roberto's sad.gif
Searched high & low thru my parts & came up with nothing...grrr...does anyone have one? Pretty please?

QuicksilverBMX
good luck Mick, I need the same nut for my Moosgoose, it just stripped!

dibs on a 2nd one if anyone has a "bagfull" wink.gif

Yeah mate, I know...I think you gotta cough up a big rock if you lose to Sara on farkle! wink.gif Farkle you!!!

Your the Cookie monster of Profile Cranks, I will be sure to let you know if I pull it to bits, but you have to remember this set has been to the dark side, so you might need to get them a bit of counselling and you could never show them a aqua or lavander colour again or they might strip all of it's threads....

Man, I have got to get out a bit more, too many kids character references...
Iwantotbuyahutch
Surely you could reference Barney somewhere Stu! You know that big fat gay purple dinosaur! Do kids still watch that sh1t?

I still have nightmares about that show!

I want those cranks too Adam! Back off ! biggrin.gif

hey mate yst make a 28tpi BB, they can be ordered from most bike shops.
Volcano
Woohoo!!! Just found that ****** locking nut! hahaha - now I can finish the cranks biggrin.gif

Thanks harofreestyler for the tip...I'll get one for the next set of cranks.

Reece...looks like u go to the top of the list for that mongoose nut!

Ben - buy a PC!!!! (and become an Adobe man!!!) tongue.gif
Brisben
Mick

Once you've done Mac - you never look back

I still maintain that FreeHand was a superior product until those mongrels at Adobe picked it up, just to acquire Flash, and dumped it in the gutter like a trust fund girlfriend who lost her inheritance for fraternising with the wrong kind...she still retains her dignity and grace though, whilst Flash gets tarted around the place like it's the most glamourous thing that ever lived taking money from all and sundry for just being Flash....and contributing to YouTube

Don't get me started on QuarkXpress vs InDesign!!!!

(and to think I was going to lend you one of my nuts for the weekend)
Volcano
Hmm...is your nut buffed clean?...are we talking Bling nut or used? sarcastic.gif
Sumo178
Brisben Indesign OWNS Quark. Quark always did my head in!

My nut has been stamped

Ever had a stamped nut - it's not often something you'd be willing to share
Volcano
Was that from your days at the "Hellfire" club? tongue.gif
AndyDiamond
I agree - Freehand MX rocks and I still use it.

Illustrator is a bloated pig.

As for QuarkXpress - I still use that too (v. 8.02) - InDesign is again too weighty and clunky.
Quark is simple and does what it does well.
diavolo
hehehe...

been away for a while, didn't even bother reading the last 50 pages... i'll catch up eventually...

ha!! and i walk into the old Indesign vs Quark debate!!! many hours have been wasted [whilst wasted] discussing that one... i loved quark until v5 [it was buggy as f@#k], i think that's when ID3 came out and i had a mate at adobe who used me as a test turkey. so i got the free CSsuite for my trouble. then got updates free for a couple of years and just stopped using quark. i have fond memories of her though, if you knew the shortcuts it was SOOOO quick!!!

hmmm... can you tell i just had my 3rd short black this morning?!

oh, anyone got a dominator seat in blue, black or whiote they want to part with?

Barney - haven't seen him recently...but appearently...there are monsters under our little 4 years olds bed...I double checked for her last night...I told her I thought I saw one, but it was probably just a ghost and if she lay very still all night, it wouldn't know she was there. Didn't hear a peep out of her all night. tongue.gif

Re-Trickstar part out ie the cranks, not sure if that is going to happen, as got a couple of great new contracts with work and they will certainly help out the cash flow...ah the joys of small business in almost recession cough **bullsh1t** cough...Unless someone hits the BIN I will probably just hang onto it...

Oh and come on guys what about Coreldraw...okay, I'm still learning to use my MacBook Pro...

Volcano
OK...I will give credit to Freehand's "multi-page" function....something Illy should have had. laugh.gif

Coreldraw?...never heard of it? tongue.gif ....just joking Stu

Diavolo - How did your Oxalic Acid go?...did the parts turn out bling?
diavolo
mick.. still haven't done the OA yet. trying to find a nice flat tub to fit frames in, don't want to be pouring out of a bin into a tub etc.. patience is a virtue, i'm hanging to get a couple of the bikes being cleaned up riding.. 88FST, [unknown year] crossrider comet and another crosscomet with that bad arse CR gussett...
still looking for a couple of bits to get them going though...

christian.. thanks again mate - much appreciated!!

designheads... i'm an illo man myself... i've used it for 10 years and love it. you've got to love live trace don't you?! never got into corel stuff coz where i worked was all adobe, but i was always keen as to give painter a crack...
Volcano
I dont use live trace...I'm very much Old School designer..LOL...do all my create work with the pen tool.
I feel I have way more control on shapes & objects...but really it comes down to whatever u feel comfortable with...
.....like Ben & his Mac (that cant open files...hehe tongue.gif )
84profile
Coreldraw is like the Old School of Graphic Design, simple and slow, like me!

Illustrator CS3, has got me buggered, bit like going from MX1000's to V Brakes...trying to teach an old dog new tricks...

On another note, don't you get some wackers on ebay? Some of the questions, I've got regarding the Trickstar...I should have got that "rad to the power of sick" dude to write up the listing for me!
84profile
The fancy pants graphic designers got me to buy a Macbook, it turns out to be the most expensive Ipod I ever bought..but it does work nicely with the iPhone (thanks to Telstra, for not telling me about the new one coming out in a couple of weeks). Nothing like buying something to be out dated in less than a month!!!

Oh and Glenn, as we all know is super generous, just hooked me up with a Black Tange Seat Clamp for my Cook Bros. , thanks mate, you are a total gentleman. Let me when I can return the favor!
Volcano
LOL Stu...I run a PC (no where near the price of a Mac)...still does what I want it to do.
Many ways to skin a cat when it comes to creating artwork biggrin.gif

Like I say - It's not the price of the tool that makes it better, it's knowing how to use it properly that gets results
(hang on...did I say that out loud?...I know what I mean sarcastic.gif )
ACGTO
John. If Stu looks to sell the cranks I'll stay away. I just bought myself a set of NOS 2nd Gen Profiles to add to the display cabinet.

Stu. I'm going to try the ghost thing tonight with my 4 year old. If she has nightmares I bringing her up in two weeks for some counselling with you.
84profile
I'm with you mate...just don't ever walking into a graphic design house and say that outloud...that will get you into trouble in more than 1 way! The PC vs Mac has been raging since Jobsy and Billy started

I have a $799 Compaq PC, that I use 95% of the day and my Mac...sits on my disk wasting power waiting for me to use it....

Dam we had better leave it there, this is sounds like a thread for computer nerds, when it is actually meant for bike nerds!!!

diavolo
agreed!!
back to bike stuff - anyone know the best price / service way to get a bike shipped from NSW to Melb?
Iwantotbuyahutch
Hey Adam. Those cranks sound choice. Do you have any pictures?

I would like to get some Profiles for my Hutch. Hutch Aerospeeds are just out of the question due to cost, and after getting the retro profiles, I think I like the look better than Redlines. Sorry Matt!

I will have to keep searching!

ACGTO
