Winter times down under, brrrrrrrrrr...

To: Kurt
Here comes another shipping container!!! Oh, so that's how all my
Moosegooses disappeared, herded into shipping containers. How about

Cheers,

Hey Danny, I think Waza will need a bigger suitcase. We're all stowing away!
DannyOakley
To: Kurt
If those dang migratory Mooses look a might confused, it's because they're
thinking, UH OH, we're not in Northern California anymore. They might be
looking for Waz's suitcase :-)

To: COASTY
Hey COASTY, right you are mate! Waza is going to need a bigger suitcase.
OK, let's get a headcount for ALL the stowaways. Sounds like an AussieFest
is ready for migration to Northern California :-)

Cheers,
Danny

Posted this a few pages back in various states of stripping and polishing....probably going to leave it in survivor state as it isn't mine...

Anyone got a pair of blue gum walls? preferably a 2.125 and a 1.75, they don't have to be NOS. C'mon Waza, i can see that pile! Could do with a blue saddle too i guess. The one on it had a destroyed blue/white cover. PPorker going to set me up with some decals too...

Hey piker should look good when its finished!

Sorry I dont have any fat/skinny blue gumwalls left!
Kurt.
Hey Reece,

Finished reassembling the Kos today - took her for a 5 km shakedown ride - still gotta tweak the brake setup, but it is great to ride.

I'll post some pics when I can get some nice outside shots in the next day or two. I've pretty much all-over polished and re-stickered her and changed the seat and clamp - but that's it.
QuicksilverBMX
Aweomse Kurt! I look forward to the pics!

Also, I scored a complete KZ-1 today, i'll post pics when botophucket comes back up!

Kurt.
Nice Reece! Love those old Kuwies. How did you land that - there seems to be lots of Kuwaharas in WA - you are always scoring one!
QuicksilverBMX
Found it in the local trading post!

Kurt.
Great find! Is that OG paint? - never seen that colour blue on a Kuwahara before - bit like that blue on those Redline MXIIs. Got plans for it?
Volcano
Awesome find Reece!!!
Whats the plans for it?

Here's my Kuwi BITD (pic taken mid-85).
I had the frame, forks and bars (SE Powerwings) powdered white in late 84 (originally blue).
Check out the homemade 'Zeronine' pad set I made for it...

...and I also hand-made a 'Zeronine' plate for it.... very faded now but it was made with cardboard, felt tip pens and coloured and clear 'Coverseal' (the stuff for your school books).
It was attached with velcro on teh back fastened to metal pines which which pushed through the card and covered over on the front by the Coverseal.
Note the home made decals (MOTIVES, Zeronine) - I used to make them and sell them at races.
All 'die-cuts' by hand - lol

AndyDiamond
...oh and the 'GEY' on the plate - that was the abbreviation for my club 'Geyserland'.

Kind of funny now....

Great job on that plate Andy - now that's attention to detail.

Love the radial spoking on your Kuwi too. We don't see enough of that on builds now. Trick.

Any news on your Hutches?
QuicksilverBMX
btw, does anyone know what year 3rd gen profile cranks came out? And would anyone have a pic???

Thanks

Happy Birthday Waz, have a great day and plenty of pressies.

Happy Birthday Waza. Just playing catchup here.

Sitting down at the beach at Coolangatta thinking of the wind/rain weather report for Melbourne. Oh the injustice of it... I'd love to say this is the last time I will take the opportunity to rub it in, but I can't.

Stayed with Bruce (Dirtboy) and family earlier in the week and another day of great riding around Sydney on Wednesday. Bruce hadn't been on a BMX for a while and will killing it straight away. Here's a few with more over at OS-BMX in the Over 40s Freestyle thread. Thanks again Bruce.
