wow hive of activity today!
Well I just spoke to the organiser of the Aussie titles here in Perth and we have been allocated space for about 20 bikes, so not a bad result considering its an indoor venue!
Brad, any chance you could bring a hutch up for display? ITs the weekend of the 2/3 May. I'll get some better details soon
Cheers

Nice pics everyone. I have boundaries too. The fear factor is alive and kickin. The only thing that stoipped me at Maryborough was my pedal expolding! I was just getting warmed up. I hope to make it out there again this weekend weather permitting.
Mick those DX's look amazing! Nice pickup.
Stu, that jump shot of yours is a magazine style shot for sure. Very cool!
Hey Glen, it would be a reasonable shot if it was 10 feet higher...it might feature in BMXO .. (BMXOldtimers)
Adam, you Martin and Matt, just about have the equvilent of a well stocked 80's bike shop...actually a lot better stocked than a lot of shops around my area BITD....I thought I had my finger on a blue Elina, it appears to have slipped away...but in the words of Wayne Campbell out of Wayne's world...
"It will be mine. Oh yes. It will be mine"!!
oh yeah Brad, I don't understand why anyone would pay that sort of bucks for 901's, they are pretty easy to locate for half that!!

How do those head locks work? I only ever had the Suntour ones where the screws pressed the plastic bit against the fork thread but I see the bolts go vertically rather than horizontal. Do they have more of a wedge type thingy in there?

He is a super nice guy, it seems like people pay extra, cause he is a bit of legend of the hobby...in saying that you know you will always score quality parts from him....I've had many interesting emails go back and forth...his collection is truely outstanding....

James, they screw down against that chrome ring which inturn slots into the fork thread slot....much better idea as it doesn't push against the threads like the suntour version...(well in theory as I always turf them and use a stem lock aka 2 n 1)

Don't get me wrong guys I don't reckon he's expensive. He's been getting bloody good prices for his stuff which is understandable considering his reputation. I'd rather buy from him as you know it's going to be good.

Did you buy some boobs from him?
I've got my own set - had em for a couple of years, could always do with another pair though
I think though his stuff is getting more popular, hence the price going up - but I'm gradually getting a little stash of bits

I was wondering if any of you guys might be able to help out for my insurance purpose?
I need some collectors to price out what my bikes would be worth to replace so I can submit to the insurance company.
A bike shop can't do it because they'd have no idea.
Ebay is one way but we need averages, not extremes!
I might factor in shipping to NZ too.
If any of you guys a keen it would be rad!
I can supply a list of teh parts and condition.

Andy, maybe have a look at Martin's database of ebay sales too. Are you able to print out PayPal records if you bought and paid for parts using it? Can't remember how far back the history goes with that though.

Yes you are correct Matt although I thought it might be worth it if the insurance company comes back with, "you really think 25 year old bikes parts cost that much".
Glenn, DVDs posted out today so enjoy them. Not Matt they aren't some of your home movies that I found online recently. Just BMX porn instead.
