Hmmm, that's a shame, have Chris&Sam become slack doing the show nowadays?
QuicksilverBMX
that reminds me, I have oranised a display at the 2009 BMX Titles in Perth later this month for those of you that are coming over. We should have a few bikes on display, we're meeting with the organiser next week to discuss space availablility

Scored a very nice set of Araya Aero rims today, I am a very happy boy atm, the easter bunny has been kind. sun_bespectacled.gif sun_bespectacled.gif
Volcano
The Easter Bunny was kind to me too...picked this lot up today...very happy camper! biggrin.gif

The seller was a top bloke & I've invited him to Roberto's...he has an awesome KOS, with NOS gear on it - as a daily rider! Great bike.

Here's a pic of his 1980 KOS...very nice good2.gif

Mick

Have you been stalking again???

Volcano

hey Reece, thanks for your efforts.. be good to meet up with you we land on the 25th... gonna be a big week smile.gif
Volcano
Kurt - I believe the seller originally bought them of Luis in Tassie.
The pads are great! The forks look almost NOS...decals are in great nick too.

Kurt.
Who did you get them from Mick?

I owned the frame and fork on the left of the pic (with the red components) up till late last year. Bought them from Lewis in '07. They were a matched '82 pair, fitted with the earlier stickers. Traded them with "Yen" for my '80 Large F&F.

If they were Lewis', must have been from the medium pro on the right with yellow parts - forks are the same.

Cheers

COASTY

Volcano
Kurt - I bought the DB parts off a guy up here in Brissy (Shannon). He said he bought them off a guy in Tassie.

Hehe - I always pause it at the right spot and point out Coasty to the kids!

I love when you find out one of your bikes is rarer than you thought, formerly an 1980 Torker, this frame is actually a 1978, so seing I was selling most of my stuff I wanted a rider and what better than another tough 70's build? stickered slightly incorrectly but all else is fine. I think my phils will go on these rims and the rims will be re anno'd gold. I wanted a true 70's racer look. then I took it for a test muck around. Thanks Matt black for the wheels!!! they are perfect.

broke L345
And Kicks, Here is one of your sets of tires, thanks mate.

Coasty, love your Redline!
Jarvi
Coasty the Watson build is coming along well. Still kick myself for not keeping those forks when I had them...

Christian, you should post that endo photo over at OS-BMX in the endo thread in the freestyle section.
COASTY
If I can pull my finger out and send the bars down to Roberto it will be done a lot quicker. Stickers are now sorted thanks to Waza.
Kicks
no worries Christian. got mine on my Motomag, jus waiting on my 1/2" Kkt Rat traps.
Jarvi
And I just wrapped my set of the same tyres in plastic wrap and packed them away. Not as much fun as putting them on a bike and riding but it's going to be like a week of Christmas's when I get to unwrap everything in the future. Kind of like Matt when he got to Cairns but on a much smaller level I think.
JMCGT
I love a good BMX Xmas

Can anyone tell the name of those 3 wheeled bikes in Thailand that have a bench seat on the front of them?

I just bought one! lol

Pick it up the week after next, i'll post pics. Its a shame you cant get 26" tuffs, it would be an awesome looking hybrid cruiser when finished!!!
broke L345
reece, they are called either a rik-shaw or tri-shaw. that's in Malaysia anyway.
Brisben
Hey Reece

I reckon it would look good with 26" Pro Class Rims and Son Lite hubs

Cook Bros slant head stem and cruiser bars

really go the whole hog on it

or 29" MTB up the front and some motomags on the back

biggrin.gif
Kurt.
Hey Reece,

Dunno about Thailand but they call them Betjaks in Indonesia.

The little motorised trikes are called Tuk Tuks.

Post some pics mate - sounds cool.
QuicksilverBMX
tuk tuk thats it!

I will get pics up when i pick it up the week after next!
Kurt.
Cool Reece!
QuicksilverBMX
except without the motor!

kinda looks like this but a lot more detailed

Hey guys - sneak peak fro you - I updated the GHP.
Always wanted gold 7Bs on it so I took the wheels off my Patterson and swapped em over.
They look great on the Patty but I want the GHP as good as I can.
Sometimes you gotta focus on one great thing instead of a bunch of stuff!

So replacing the old silver 7Xs/Bullseye hubs/Comp IVs are 7Bs/GT hubs/Comp IIIs.
Also put on a NOS gold SR seat clamp replacing the old Xcaliber one.

Photo is with black pads - I have chorme ones too.

When I take some decent pics I will post on the main forum.

AndyDiamond
and this is how the Patty look now (will probably swap the gold over to blue).

LOL, nice Reece. They are called Tuk-Tuk's.

Oops, pays to read all the replies lol

It looks great Andy, must say GT Hubs are right up on my list of cool hubs and they suit a GHP more than any other...okay well unless you have Son-Lites or SST's floating around...your bikes look great...

It is fun refining bikes after staring at them in the same format for a long time...

...oh and a question, I have a seat post that I got with my Patterson cruiser frame, it has been re-chromed and I was supplied with new decals from the original owner...but I was wondering if there is anyway of identifying that it actually is a Patterson post, as it was sold to me (reputable OS member)...it is very light and quite thin walled...but nothing else to notable?

ahhh - nope!
Not as far as I know - that's the problem with seat post from the 80s - no markings unless it is NOS with the original decal.

That is kinda why I run generic cro-mo posts - unless it's obvious like an SST or JMC I can justify $200 on a steel pole - lol.
Kurt.
Perfect Andy - that's the nicest GHP I've ever seen.

Love those 7Bs - amazing how many of the pros used the old 70's Arayas well into the 80's.
Kurt.
Nice price on the Cook stem...

Kurt.
And $600AU for the Cook seat clamp. Not bad!

AndyDiamond
wow - $600!

Volcano
Awesome builds as usual Andy! That GHP is amazing...as Kurt said, one of the best I've seen too!!! good2.gif

LOL...lots of money for Cooks stuff.

Love that GHP

The Patty is nice too!!

Here is my PR, sorry about the dodgy pic!!!

Love the GHP Andy. It looks perfect mate. The Patto looks cool too. They both came out winners.
