Swap you a one year old girl and 3 year old girl for your teenager for the weekend - I need to know what I have got myself into

Oh Ben, believe me mate, you CAN wait! laugh.gif It sneaks up on you pretty quickly anyway.... The Hutch is looking great by the way!

Hey James, that is a beautiful Hutch. I didn't know you had one. Looks very similar to your old one!
Kurt.
Please excuse crap first picture and expensive backdrop!!! LOL

Iwantotbuyahutch
Anyone know who owns the Hutch 24" from Brisbane on ebay at the moment?
Jarvi
Kurt, I still can't believe well that came out considering the before photos. At the time I thought you were brave for taking the project on.

for those that haven't seen mine before, here's the original thread with more photos and story.
Kurt.

Thanks mate - yeah, the things we do!

That Hutch thread of yours was so cool, I had to resurrect it...

The first pic was obviously at Elphin, but where did you take the action shots?

For the newer guys, here was my Hutch XL24 "before". LOL

Jarvi
The others were at Hobart. Second favourite track behind Burnie. Only because Burnie was a downhill track and I'm a lazy arse racer.
Iwantotbuyahutch
Nice yellow colour on the Hutch there Kurt! Gee why didn't you keep that! LOL

That was a great score. Was that an overseas purchase?
Kurt.
Bought it from Skippyrowse in QLD. Have the front forks, but they are bent in the steerer. One of these days I'll get JC to work his magic on them. It's Tai - but still a steal at $215 AU I reckon.

Early '06 I think it was.
COASTY
I remember when you bought that Kurt. I was at Trevors house about a month before. He asked me about the forks and I told him to give it to Gary to repair. It sure came out nice. Love the color scheme.
He has an amazing amount stashed under his house. I was there for hours searching for stuff.
Kurt.
Yeah - I had Trev's mobile no. and was going to catch up with him when I was in QLD late last year - but ran out of time
Bradster
Diggin' the Hutch pics fellas, don't mind the colours either! I'm a bit stuck in the black/chrome mode, wouldn't mind some paint on one of the cruisers, a nice Cyan blue or white would be nice.

Not Sure but it looks like the one Hicksy sold a little while ago - it's already been snapped up now (AU$2500 BIN)

Saw that, wonder why such a quick re-sale?
AndyDiamond
Arrghhhh! What have I done?
I've turned this thread into spawn-of-the-devil Hutch nonsense - LOL.
You guys better post some proper bikes.
Kurt.
Hey Brad - good news mate.

Found those NOS TX1200 stickers - PM me your address and I'll chuck them in the post.

Been sorting through my shed this arvo - put all my stuff together in a tub for my Roberto's build - just need a brake cable, some tubes and some polishing time!
COASTY
Must of been a day for it Kurt. Spent the arvo with the record player belting out some Maiden and Angels and cleaned, stripped and painted awhole bunch of stuff.
I have to push the boss into letting me use his sandblasting cabinet. Much easier.
Nice lineup Brad.
Jarvi
Garbage and Smashing Pumpkins for me as I was doing jobs around the house.
Brisben
Polishing stuff and putting decals on

Started off with Muggs vs The GZA "Grandmasters", moved onto Ultramagnetic MC's "Critical Beatdown" then Lord Finesse "Return of the Funky Man" finished off with Pete Rock and CL Smooth "Mecca and the Soul Brother" then just a couple of J Dilla remixes to smooth it out

Haven't had an only Hip Hop day for a long while....

(even though I love the warmth of vinyl I wish I didn't have to keep getting up to flip the record)
Kurt.
Radiohead's "In Rainbows" for me. Right up there with "OK Computer" i reckon.
Kurt.
Thought this one might have scooted under the radar a bit, but obviously some helpful souls told the guy what he had...

I was listening to New Order and Joy Division today, whilst mowing the lawns, and while I was out mountain biking. To top it off, I watched a live DVD of New Order in the afternoon, and then watched the movie Control (about Joy Division) tonight.

I used to listen to Joy Division and New Order a lot whilst psyching up for races. Takes me right back smile.gif
Kurt.
Hadn't noticed the forks Damon. Well spotted. Very nice - makes it a bargain really.

Sometimes I could strangle those helpful souls. I understand why people inform the seller and it's probably The Right Thing to do. But when something comes up that's listed something like "Old Rusty Piece Of Crap BMX, Probably Next To Worthless But The Missus Says Get Something For It Anyway", Pickup Only, right around the corner from me and then all of a sudden he's willing to ship worldwide and handing out serial numbers and this may be the rarest thing since Itson's Trickstar.... I'll admit it, I have a little hissy fit. smile.gif
