Kurt.
Holy Shite. Gorilla Cruiser. More exotica!
JMCGT
nice Martin..just when i had decided to do mine candy red...

definately the time of year for it Kurt...not to hot,and hopefully no rain
www.martin-bike.com
Matt, the gold PK caused a bit of a stir when PK himself started racing one. I'm trying to pin down the dates but I'd say between 80-82. And . . . all those NOS frames are in transit as we speak so I'm biting my fingernails with anxiety. LOL
ACGTO
That gold pk looks just like the one that turned up to my place today mate. Hopefully it's not yours, but I don't recall buying one.

I'll swap you for the Nomura.
COASTY

This one Martin? Go hard mate. I can give you a parts rundown if ya like?
JMCGT
yes i bet... the gold is just an awesome colour...
I got those Nos forks sent to a large SE collector in US,as alot of people were very sceptical...seems they are OG..
will you build it??
JMCGT
what are the pedals and hubs Glenn??
www.martin-bike.com
Yes Glenn, that's the one. Did you say you had it with Tuffs also?

It just so happens that I scored a set of Comp II yellow labels and one of my two holy grail number plates NOS - WEIRD!

JMCGT
was that 3rd gears plate...
and was that vato's cruiser..??

ACGTO
that's got to be some of the highest end parts in one place on that cruiser. Would love those hubs. I'd swap your whole collection for those hubs Matt!
www.martin-bike.com
Yes and yes. That cruiser has pedigree but a bike without a number plate seems naked to me so I wanted to have a crack at it.
COASTY
Matt, Silver 7x with Sunshine flip flop hubs.
Martin, First Gen Campy Tuffs were on there between late 82-87
JMCGT

thought they looked like sunshines...
here my VDC...check the dropouts...i emailed Voris and he said the large 2 was a seconds frame...either a proto of bad chrome..

JMCGT
I would love those hubs, but couldn't swap some of my bikes now...i just love them too much
Brisben
Hey Guys

Whilst we're all here, can anyone suggest which bike I should put this plate on - it's a little scratched up but I can't decide, I still think it looks kinda cool

or should I just keep it and collect more signatures when I can?
Volcano
Awesome plate Ben!
Why not the Mongoose u are building?
JMCGT
true, the goose would be good...

but a plate is like a hat...has to fit proper...what are you building...??

here you go Martin...you probably have this pic...VDC clamp

and check out the profile.....WOW for you Stu

Hmm Gregs Favorite GT
www.martin-bike.com
Lots of WOWs on this page.

That plate has Gary Turner's signature - UNREAL.

That's Jeff Haney's double bar Champ Pro and is what inspired me to build my black one.

As for the clamp - noI've never seen it before and it is completely freaking me out big time. Thanks for sharing it. I'll be staring at this one endlessly tonight.
www.martin-bike.com
All that chrome is so nice.

While we're on VDCs, I got Rodney's (Vato's) other VDC also - pristine Changa Long

JMCGT
i have picked up hundreds of rare pics lately..
the clamp has always made me smile, but the double brace profile i saw for the first time today.... wacko.gif
84profile
Yes I think I'm having heart pulpitations at the moment...all the exotic stuff!!! Amazing...keep it coming...this page has been a little quiet recently, awesome to see this gear!!! I saw that plate Martin, I was like wow I need that...bam it was gone...however you did me a big favor...not a lot of loose change right now!! Wedding/honeymoons...and I thought collecting could be expensive!!!

How about a sneak peak at the Turbo Kurt?
(glad you got the sticker)
Brisben
After I finish what I have to build at the moment I WILL build a GT

I remember the first time I ever saw a GT - at Billy Eddington's place in about 1983 - he had a garage full of frames, all shiny and Chrome - I've wanted one ever since

Just gotta find the right one....
JMCGT

how about these...more SST's... a very rare stem...1 of 11 made and a bike that does look good without a plate...LOL

www.martin-bike.com
That plate was my race plate in 82/83. I still have it - I used to cut out the logos from magazine ads and paste them on my plate. LOL

I couldn't bear to remove the decals and use it for a build. It was one of my two holy grail plates. This is my other one - Aero Stadium for a John Crews replica build. I got one but it was "lost" in the mail sad.gif

JMCGT

Volcano
Is that what they look like Adam...hehe biggrin.gif
www.martin-bike.com
Man, those photos are OLD. I had never seen PK without a mustache - weird.

Cool Adam, can't wait to see what you do with it. Here's my black 82 GT Pro in a mock up build. Your decals came out in 83.

That Profile is awsome too. As is the GT above. So many nice bits in here tonight. Well done lads.
