thanks Christian-Glenn...
how did Hervey go with the winds mate..
Kurt.
hey diavolo - You do see that bike rider logo - or very similar - on a lot of lower end parts. I believe it's Taiwanese and probably mid - late 80's, so not very desirable.
Kurt.
Hey Matt - bloody stunning little Patty mate. Gorgeous!

hey thanks guys for the info.

i didn't think it was high end, but knew it was at least mid 80's by the neck / bars set up. had never seen this logo before, but was hoping somehow it was a 'find'...

aah, well, it's actually not a bad ride and has a few bits - found it at the tip so all good!!

i'll keep searching for a starter project - one day my ship will come in!!
Kurt.

Yeah - keep looking, it'll happen. It's surprising where stuff turns up.

You'll soon be like the rest of us, stalking little kiddies riding anything chrome! Ha!
Kurt.
Hey - does anyone have one of the old orange "Uni" seat stickers for the back of the hammerhead saddle?
Volcano
Woohoo! My brother & his wife had twins this morning! good2.gif

Much love Mick to you and your Bro's family

Shame it wasn't triplets - two boys and a girl you could have built them a Goose a DB and a Supermaxi - Uncle Mick and the Baby BMX bandits !!!!!

or you could throw on your ginger wig and be Aunty Judy!!!! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Kurt.
Hey Mick - will try and find you a pic of the sticker. There were a few - chrome with blue lettering as well as one with a fair bit of orange. Pretty plain sticker that says UNI - goes on the back of the hammerhead seat.
Volcano
Thanks guys!
LOL Ben...maybe I could get that guy who made the PK Ripper scale model to build up some Bandits replica's... sarcastic.gif

Hey Mick - Awesome! That's her!!!

Reece - that's top news. This is shaping to being the biggest Oz gathering ever!!!
Jarvi
One new born would be tough, twins would be impossible for a lazy-[please review the site FAQs] guy like me. Hope all are doing well Mick.

Reece that's fantastic news and hope you can pull it off. Just remember sometimes it's better to do something and apologise later so just come over and say sorry when you get home.

Bit of news that some people already know anyway. In about two months I'm packing up the house and going to travel around for a while. Not sure how long, 6 months, 12 months, who knows. Plan is to work from anywhere, have my bike and camera and a few clothes and other essentials. First stop is the Sunshine Coast and then head overseas and stay 1-3 months in places. Hope to catch up with a lot of my BMX brothers along the way.

It's a tough, but satisfying, job to practically clear your life of all extra possessions. Of course I will be keeping some of the bikes and other things will be going into storage. Does it say something about me that I might be getting rid of most of my furniture and keeping my bikes? But then the furniture is getting a bit tired... So if anyone is looking to rent a two bedroom home in Ivanhoe (will be done through a porperty manager) or wishes to buy a 1996 Porsche Carrera 4S then sing out. And also a 1995 BMX 318is come August/September. I've had plenty of offers to 'look after' the car and have politely declined them all.
Kurt.
Sounds like you'll have a great time James.

I know you are a good accountant and all, but I don't think you really fit the classic bean-counter mould you know!!! This hoilday wouldn't fit very neatly in a spreadsheet!!!
COASTY
Nice one James, sounds like the last holiday made an impression on you. Lifes too short hey? I know you will have a great time. Good on you.
Jarvi
Kurt, I officially stopped calling myself an accountant late last year. Resigned my membership of CPA Australia ($500+ a year for a crappy magazine). If I do any business type work I'm now a consultant. You know, I con people and I insult people so I must be a consultant.

Glenn, the trip last year was a bit of a test to see if I could work remotely I've wanted to do it for a few years now and technology is making it easier, I now know a lot of people around the world and yeah, life is too short to spend time doing stuff you don't enjoy. I also want to come up your way again and hop up onto that bench and get the 180 off it working. Maybe even a 360. We'll need a better video camera though.
Kurt.
LOL James - good move!
Kurt.

Congrats Mick, maybe a side hack would be the go...with a couple of baby seats!!

Good on you James, you sound like you are travelling a similar path to Leroy, he quit his job, sold up his palace and put it all in storage and has been off travelling the world since last July with his wife....and from all the emails I have got from him he is having a ball... I'm hearing you re-clearing out excessive stuff, just blended two houses recently, like the freakin Noah's arc, 2 of everything...it is very cleansing....

Hey Kurt, send me your address, I should be able to hook you up with one of those Uni decals....
Jarvi
Stu how is Leroy getting on? Where is he at the moment? Must be sickening getting the emails and hearing about the good times.

I was reading that the secret to cleaning out places is to completely empty the area, be it a drawer, cupboard room and then only put back the stuff you need. Don't do it the other way around and just try to remove the stuff you don't need.

Not sure where yet but some time in the US on route to Central American and hopefully somewhere in the Caribbean. Would also like to do Spain. Might possibly be a slow trip around the globe n one direction, but who knows. Steve is in Kathmandu in Nepal.
Kurt.
That's the way James. Having just moved my office of 60 people into a brand new purpose built building, it's much easier to start from empty - then you can be a nazi about what doesn't go in and keep it clean and minimalist. If you just try and clean out you find it hard to make a dent in the stuff.

Stu - cool mate! PM on the way.

Obviously our ride was canceled this morning because if rain so I was determined to get my new iPhone working. Was waiting for Optus to pull their finger out and then decided to plug the phone into my computer and bingo, it was working. What the hell is the world coming to when you have to plug a phone into a computer just to get it working for the first time. Fortunately other stuff has been a bit easier and connection to my wireless network was painless. Yes, I am a bit excited!!
