Jarvi
This has the be the last photo I will find because I've practically turned my house upside down lately. Probably the day I bought my Stu Thomsen Signature Premier helmet. Budget didn't stretch to the Bell Moto 3 so this was my next choice and sort of like the Hutch helmets.

Jarvi
if you haven't had a look at the old racing photos post by cornfed then it's well worth a look.
Volcano
I love it when the delivery man comes to my place!!! Thanks heaps Waz! good2.gif

Did you take it for a quick test spin and stop too quick?????
Straighten them bars up!!!!!........ Pretty Please smile.gif
84profile
Super sweet build Ben....looks very factory!! (but I'm with Waza, pull them bars back a tad)
Brisben
yeah I took it for a spin - and the bars are like that to stop my knees hitting them

I promise I will change them biggrin.gif
84profile
Fair call, if you wanna ride it, maybe think of a longer stem, maybe a DK XXL and you could try sliding your seat back on it's rails (not sure if you have the seat guts upside down)....
JMCGT
the sweep on those bars dont help...
Brisben
I think I'll stick to riding the Kos and the Two Four

I dont want to break this one laugh.gif

(but I will still slide the seat back)

COASTY
Really nice build Ben. Nice colors and yeah that seat can go way back. FYI I'm 6 foot and 108kg (and losing) and I ride my motomag all the time.
You need to ride it mate. Looks too good.
kosgary
Spin the guts of the seat around, you will gain a few more inches for your knees, nice bike tho!!!

COASTY
I think they are the right way around. Just needs to be slid back.
GTHODAD
In 1982 youd be going to the shop for a Big M and a packet of Winni reds for later.
Is that an Alps stem and was that standard for quickies back then?
Brisben
Survivor Nitto MX1 stem

Winnie Blues - I wasn't that hardcore

broke L345
I love oyur frames mick biggrin.gif what are the plans?

Ben, I just put one of those seats on a bike and it does sit a fair way forward too. I gave up but I'll muscle that bugger back at a later stage.

I'm 5' 8" and 78 kg so anyone having problems riding their bike can always send it over to this short arse cool.gif
broke L345
just wanted to thank WAZ AGAIN for helping me out with some bits and spokes.

Cheers mate, always saving me. Thanks again
AdrianH
Guys, Im looking for info on Redline frame identification; how serial numbers work, geometry, types of frames etc.

Do any of you have this info or do you know of any dedicated Redline sites.

Cheers Adrian
QuicksilverBMX
I'm not sure Adrian, but I know Mr Coasterbrake on here is the man to ask on Redline serial numbers, he's a wiz!
84profile
Hey Mick, cool looking frame, I don't know anything about them...never saw one bitd...

Adam, how's the Hutch going, poppin a few good wheelies???
JMCGT
Hey Mick , nice pick up.. What?? where?? Why and how much... smile.gif
Iwantotbuyahutch
I like the Kos Mick. That will be a nice build. You can go cruisin with Ben!

I have never heard of a Centurion. I thought they were only on Battlestar Galactica?
AdrianH
Thanks Reece, I;ll look him up
ACGTO
Stu - Polished it up, put some new stickers on plus a few other tweaks and it now looks too good to ride. Haven't been home much so I haven't had much practice time. Hopefully by Roberto's I'll be able to do something decent.

Been practicing jumping with the kids though. I didn't realise how pi$$ed they'd get when their old man can jump higher but now they're really starting to give it a nudge. All fun, just waiting for a frame to crack as I'm not losing any weight.

Jarvi
Adam, you can get some practice this weekend if you want. Christian is keen for a ride and I'll be in it as well. South Eastern track probably. Anyone else feel like a ride?
ACGTO
Saturday is looking good as we're staying down in melbourne. Will head back early saturday morning and grab the bikes and come back I think.

Looking forward to giving you guys a good laugh.

Might even let Diesel ride the Phaze 1 Mini for the day.
broke L345
hey Adam nothing too serious, I'm sure we'll give you a chuckle or two.Last time the most serious we got was a rolling race, james beat me every time............bugger! biggrin.gif
Kurt.
Hey Mick - Nice frames mate. Nice to see some OG dual drop forks too, even if they need some work.

If they were sold as DBs they had the Tange TX1200 (flattened ends) forks, rather than the dual drops. So probably sold as Centurions - though the frames are identical. Great pickups.
QuicksilverBMX
Mick re comments on the frames:

refer to the phone call the other night biggrin.gif
COASTY
Lookin good Mick. I like the KoS . Good cond. You gonna build this one?
ACGTO
I just scored a NOS 82 DB Senior Pro and NOS dual dropout diamond back forks. Happy to trade them for single dropout if anyone has a good set.
Brisben
Mick

Get that Kos up and running - we need a sunday cruiser vibe happening in Brisbane

I'm hoping to get mine back together this weekend...

JMCGT
Dont worry Mick, there are alot of blokes that dont make comments on others bikes..
post a pic Adam, sure the blokes would love to see her..
Volcano
Thanks guys....Yep! The KOS will be a rider for now...need a few parts. biggrin.gif

Will eventually restore it to show condition, but for now I want to ride it....got the "26" bug down in Melbourne...hehe
Thanks again the Waz & Reece for F/F &parts...cool! good2.gif

I have hoops but need to get them laced up - anyone know places/prices in brissy who can lace up 26 wheels at competitive rates???

Also...what size/length chain do I need for the Kos? unsure.gif

Volcano
Hey Kurt...I seem to be finding Centurion's of late...LOL
My latest score has awesome chrome, and stamped forks....and even has the decals in tact!!!
Great for reference biggrin.gif
