Yes it was a great day. Hope this picture meets with your approval Jarvi.... biggrin.gif

Jarvi
Ah, yes Dugga. Any hazard a guess at what I might have been looking at?

Here's the people shots. Bikes and a better group shot later.

ROBERTO
Wow... Just got off the plane and back in Brisbane. What a fantastic day, I had so much fun meeting up with the gang. You Melbourne guys sure know how to put on a gig. I hope to be there next year too.

Big thanks to Jarvi for the free accomodation, taxi rides and pizza. Class act all the way buddy.
Jarvi
Thanks Robert. Glad you enjoyed it and we are actually having Queensland type weather down here today...

Jarvi
A few more. I love the BMX head tube shot. Sums up the day.

James, great pix!

It was so good to meet all the names you know, but faces you dont.

Cheers
JMCGT
real nice James..love it
Mr.BMX
Agree with Jarvi, today (SUNday) doesn't have a cloud in the sky and getting kinda warmish, woulda been a scorcher for the show perhaps?

For those who didn't attend:
Looking at Jarvi's 1st "group shot" be aware that the whole back row of people are covering a further 50+ bikes that were on display.

Mental note for next gather to take a "bikes only" pic for extra bling appeal ;-)

Once again the ALENAX made an appearance, a few had a ride and freaked out, and it even foiled Roberto's attempts to "Freestyle" on it hahahaha, nice try Roberto ! ;-)

Hey waza or anyone else, did anyone take down a name-list like the first knox show, to get an idea of who actually attended?
Jarvi
More...

Love the cable holders on this one. So S&M like.

And now some freestyle stuff.

Jarvi
Looks like a great day Reece.

Glenn, the first photo looks a bit Hoffman like but no idea really. I'm more interested in the yeti standing on the platform. I wonder if they can ride BMX.
COASTY
Wow that Story board looks unreal ! Nice work Mick.
James i thought the same thing when I looked. Might be Mr Hoffman?? The yeti had me spooked too! In a weird way..
mcam
Wow, that looks like it was a great show! You Aussie guys sure know how to put them on!

One day, I am going to pack up a bike, and come over.

And... Who owns that chrome PL20 Carrera, with the black Ukais, and black high flange Suntour sealed hubs? Cool looking bike (and man, do I so need those hubs!)

The bikes shown all look stunning. A real credit to you all!
Bradster
A few more pics from "Two Wheels Good", I had an awesome day, heaps more activity in Perth than I had thought, met some great people too!!!

G-day,

Below is a slightly edited version of a letter I sent out to Seri Print ( seri@seriprint.com.au ). They made a trophy and a gift mirror that was presented when I toured the great land down under in the 80's. An internet search resulted in finding the listed e-mail address. I sent them a message on Oct 29th and have not heard back. Does anybody know if their still in business or have any possible contact info.

Thanks,

Stu

I was visiting Australia touring as a BMX professional rider in December of 1982. I was racing for Red Line Bicycles. One of the promoters there gave me a framed mirror with my image of me riding my bike. For all these years I have kept the mirror intact in my trophy room. During a recent move the mirror broke. My question to you is after all these years is this screen print still in your archives? Attached is a photo of the mirror.

Thats a completely different web site then the one I found. It would be helpful if someone on your end of the world could make contact. I'll also redirect my orininal e-mail to this page as well.

Thanks I knew I could count on Vintage and the Who's from Australia posts.

Mr.BMX
STU :

Paul Shepard (Manager of Seriprint) has received and replied to your email.

I spoke on the phone with him just minutes ago.

He's looking into the possibility of re-doing the artwork based on examples of other mirrors and now your picture as a reference.
He's not sure any archive artwork would be available, so it'll be a re-work.

Marty.

waza007
we have found an original to copy and the info has been passed onto paul already.

Marty I resent the request. Did Paul recently respond. I have not heard from him

I think Paul said he responded last Friday? to your email.

I'm guessing there's some email/spam filtering issues somewhere?

Hey Boys

It would seem this past weekend was an Old School Bananza!!! I'm just dribbling over the photo's right now!! Wow they are some of the sweetest bikes ever, totally kicking myself not to have made it down!...

...a couple of questions:

Who owns the chrome and blue Cook Bros? It looks beautiful!!
Who owns the white trickstar? Don't see many of those in Australia!

Stu - chatted to the Trick Star owner a bit y/day, he isn't on any forums that I know of, just a family guy that had a memory of a white/lavender Trick Star from his child hood and wanted to build one, it's a U.S. serial no.ed unit - he finished building it the night before the show! He also had a Haro freestyler there also.

Awesome Brad, I can't believe I missed the sweet DB Turbo, who owns that? I would give my left kidney for it!..(mind you it is probably worthless after my younger days on the turps).

The Turbo looks like the one Steve Beven had on Ebay a month ago...

Yep - I believe that's the one, Reece should be able to confirm.

Speaking of Reece - imagine a kid in an 80's bike shop amongst all those BMXs, that pretty much sums up how he, and the rest of us, were reacting to the turn-out of nice bikes y/day!!

hey Stu, Pat owns the cook mate..FRIZZBAT...its is an awesome frame with a box behind the B/B and it is milled like the headtube....totally different to my two, there must have been quite a few styles of frames..
Kurt do you have a pic of yours handy..

AdrianH
Quicksilver, that is an awesome turnout over in the west, also looks like you had some very sweet bikes there too. We are certainly keeping our end up in the resto stakes fellas.
Kurt.
Awesome pics everyone - man the scene is getting stronger and stronger - such cool turnouts the same weekend on both sides of the country.

Here you go Matt - hey, how burly are those Cook forks?!? New sticker set and bars paid for and on the way.

QuicksilverBMX
Yeah Awesome turnouts for both shows and ours was a beuty because we had a large number of people through the gate, I just couldnt believe the turnout! The DB turbo there was the one from stevnbven and looks very nice!
Thanks for coming Brad and bringing your 2 Hutches, they looked awesome in the flesh!

The Trickstar was a nice surprise too! There were quite a number of guys that came down but with no bikes, I think next year they will bring them after seeing the HUGE cross section of unrestored/survivor/showbikes there. smile.gif
there were some really nice custom bikes there too!

mcam
Do you guys ever see Luis at any of these gatherings? I'm just curious if he is still into the bikes.
JMCGT
