I'm not from Australia, but will be there in 2010 for the Generations of Freestyle gathering at the proposed X-Games in Melbourne. Scottish John Buultjens will be here in Southern California tomorrow and we will be having a ride session at our friend Alvin's house in Fullerton. John has a company called Forgotten Bikes.
Hope to see you all real soon,

I was in at Strictly BMX tonight picking up some wheels when I saw this. They just got them in and it's just like my 79 Proline so I had to get it for the young fella. Going to do it up a bit with 3pc cranks and different wheels. It rocks and he loves riding it.

Black if that works for you Matt. Awesome PK BTW.
Good pick for the young fella up Adam.
Had a great taste of peak hour QLD traffic tonight. Drove back from Australia Zoo to Currumbin. Bloody 3 hours. Merging frenzy, jack-knifed semi on the Gateway Bridge, loonies everywhere. Oh for the quiet winding roads of Tas....LOL

LOL. Naah James - that was dry.
Yeah Matt - tailgating, swinging across four lanes, speeding up to get past you moving into your lane and then slowing down, pushing on to get ONE car further ahead when on a merging lane, swinging into a lane with a semi-trailer bearing down on them at speed. Man!? Gotta say though, the M1 is a pretty impressive bit of work - A Tarago and a Navman and we can find our way anywhere. Thanks on the pads!
Cool Mick - that'd be great.

I don't have a problem with QLD drivers, it's just like other major cities in that there are too many of them. Perhaps I'm too busy tailgating, swapping lanes and talking on the phone to notice the bad ones.
Xavier, say hello to John for me and keep him under control.
Adam that little Redline looks pretty cool. Old school stickers are so much better and fortunately the new school stuff is moving away from all the cursive script type stuff and back to more bold graphics.

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...em=290268547596Yeah I reckon it a load of crap. Any normal person would not pay 400+ for used tourneys and kkts.
Its probably bidder 1 and bidder 4 that are both involved, lot of money to spend on ebay fees if they dont sell to a "stranger"

Hey Kurt, there are two problems with driving in South East Queensland. Firstly the roads are just not big enough as the government hasn't kept up with the population boom. Secondly, all the bad behavior on the roads is from the masses of Melbourne people moving to greener pastures......
Tasmanian's are good drivers though.......
Jarvi
Oct 24 2008, 08:04 PM
Drivers down here are just as bad. Been out for a 30 minute run and was shouted at as I was minding my own business on the footpath, nearly run over (stopped about a metre from me as they weren't looking when turning on the green light) and pedestrians walking four abreast and none moved as I was running past in the opposite direction. Nearly clipped his shoulder. Then add to that the lycra lad that nearly got side-swiped by the 4WD. Damn, I'm so over city life.

I am over city life as well. I ride to work ever day and although most people are good, there are quite a few idiots that don't think you should be even on the SIDE of the road.
I had this pair of homies in their doof doof go past me the other week and one of them screamed out the window at me as they went past. Scared the living cr4p out of me. Problem for them was that they had to stop at the lights up further. I pulled up next to them, shoved my head in the open window and screamed "WHAT THE FCK DO YOU WANT?" Ha ha ha ha. Scared them back.
I shouldn't be retaliatory, but that's what city life does to you!

Ah yes ! the green machines were cool. The original ones were better. Thats a "new school version" but same idea. The steering setup is a little different.
Before BMX there was Skateboards for me. We had a 1/4 pipe on the road in front of a mates house. A little kid about 5-6 would do fakies on the ramp on his green machine. Little kid was awsome.
They were released in 1976.

Check the honeycomb wheel design, similar to late 70's Kingswood GTS and Pontiac Firebird wheels.
But with forklift handling.

I was a little embarrassed when James and Matt visited me recently. My bikes were strewn all over the garage and leaning against each other scratching the stickers and frames.
I decided this weekend to build this rack and look after my bikes that served me so well for so long.
It took a couple of hours and cost less than $30. The kids are going to put some paint on it and some stickers.
Job done. much tidier and safer too. Just need to make another one for the kids bikes and my cruiser :

Cheers
