Thanks Glenn. Always good to talk about the good old days. Just a pity you didn't have the Jeff Watson build completed. Would have loved to see that built up in person.
Caught up with Robert and Brett for lunch yesterday which was cool. Spent most of the time thinking how I could smuggle Robert's 88 Master back to Melbourne.

Well its actually a Tange made Kuwahara so it wont fetch as much IMO. The Kuwahara cruiser that prosight is referring to doesnt have a Redline style gusset on it.

I had the same frame which I sold on ebay for about $200 from memory.

Sep 22 2008, 05:06 AM
So, the frame and fork Prosight sold was the 83 Kuwahara 24 (double thickness rear dropouts/flat brake bridge and five inch head tube)?
I saw a cool Tange 24 frame that had a 6 inch head tube a while back. It was from around 83. Whilst it wasn't a Kuwahara, it certainly looked "Kuwahara-ish" thats for sure.
The Kuwahara 24 bars are really nice. They have a great bend, and are nice a flat.

Nice find there RSrichie! I had a LBS owner tell me that he had a 'stash of good os gear' at home, I waited a couple of weeks for him to 'get it together' and I went to his shop this week....his 'tuff stems' turned out to be hammered DK units and spray painted Suntour stems, and his GT pro XL bars ended up being 90's-ish powerlight looking stuff....PPPFFFTTTTT!!!!!

Kurt, love that DB those forks are pretty cool!
I know what you mean about having a few builds on the go. I have a Team Jag, 1974 Matthews mono and my new project..... Gboy. Man I'm soooo excited about that one. I just got notification that it's arrived in the country, now I have to pay customs which is gonna cost me more than my last Torker f/f set............................OUCH!!!!!!
Meanwhile I have found all the parts to complete it.
My Matthews is at Robertos getting a coat of powder then that's doneand my wheels are at Wazas which are gonna be annodized then that's done. I should get out and ride more so I stop spending money. Oh and I got a redline MXII which is gonna be restored as a rider.

Mick, yes I have seen that book. Would love a proper one but limited edition.
Rohan, I had dinner with your sponsor and he said your spending too much time riding and training and your school results are suffering. You'll need to lift those before he considers WA. Speaking of Gary, he's competing in the QLD titles at the moment.
