I agree with the handle bars but i think the seat goes well with the blue ano and the black tyres.
Kurt.
Posted a history of the DB Turbo over on OS-DB if anyone is interested. Includes the linkages with the Large and the Senior Pro:

someone is going to get a good deal on that 24inch kuwahara that is on oz ebay under a redline bmx.... i sold the same frame and forks but in blue for i think $600US but seen them go for over a $1000US for F/F they are a very very hard bike to find...
Volcano

You da DB Man!!!!! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Glenn...another package maybe in the mail in the next couple of weeks....stay tuned....hehe
Jarvi
Thanks Glenn. Always good to talk about the good old days. Just a pity you didn't have the Jeff Watson build completed. Would have loved to see that built up in person.

Caught up with Robert and Brett for lunch yesterday which was cool. Spent most of the time thinking how I could smuggle Robert's 88 Master back to Melbourne.
COASTY
No probs James. Won't be long now.
Heres the link to Brians Summerslam vid. Rsabout got a mention too.

Yep..

If any of you Australian guys were hoping to snap it up, sorry, it is now out in the open smile.gif
QuicksilverBMX
Well its actually a Tange made Kuwahara so it wont fetch as much IMO. The Kuwahara cruiser that prosight is referring to doesnt have a Redline style gusset on it.

I had the same frame which I sold on ebay for about $200 from memory.
mcam
So, the frame and fork Prosight sold was the 83 Kuwahara 24 (double thickness rear dropouts/flat brake bridge and five inch head tube)?

I saw a cool Tange 24 frame that had a 6 inch head tube a while back. It was from around 83. Whilst it wasn't a Kuwahara, it certainly looked "Kuwahara-ish" thats for sure.

The Kuwahara 24 bars are really nice. They have a great bend, and are nice a flat.

Raddog, i got the sprocket today. Mate it's spot on. Thanks a bunch!

Which thread Glenn - the ranting warning about OA or having a go at me?
COASTY
The OA warning thread. I don't want to give him a hard time but he makes it so easy! LOL
Bradster
Nice find there RSrichie! I had a LBS owner tell me that he had a 'stash of good os gear' at home, I waited a couple of weeks for him to 'get it together' and I went to his shop this week....his 'tuff stems' turned out to be hammered DK units and spray painted Suntour stems, and his GT pro XL bars ended up being 90's-ish powerlight looking stuff....PPPFFFTTTTT!!!!!

waza007
Nice bike there Richie!!

Hope you score it!!
Kurt.
Hey fellas - picked up my latest project last week - it's an '80 DB Large. Going to re-finish her in blue.

Kurt, love that DB those forks are pretty cool!

I know what you mean about having a few builds on the go. I have a Team Jag, 1974 Matthews mono and my new project..... Gboy. Man I'm soooo excited about that one. I just got notification that it's arrived in the country, now I have to pay customs which is gonna cost me more than my last Torker f/f set............................OUCH!!!!!!

Meanwhile I have found all the parts to complete it.

My Matthews is at Robertos getting a coat of powder then that's doneand my wheels are at Wazas which are gonna be annodized then that's done. I should get out and ride more so I stop spending money. Oh and I got a redline MXII which is gonna be restored as a rider.

Kurt.
Hey cool Christian! Some rare builds there - looking forward to seeing them.

You sure you're gonna fit on an MX11?
COASTY
Great stuff Christian. Looking forward to seeing all of them.

I have been riding/training for our state titles. Staying away from the computer.

I will post some more pic in a thread. Most of the bike was donated. Waza(frame) QuicksilverBMX (bars/stem)Velocidad. Was going to be a super cheap build, but I couldn't help it. Was worth the money.

Not sure yet. I dought it. Unless the sponser is paying sarcastic.gif

Kurt I try and get it added. I want to take some more pics and add a little story sun_bespectacled.gif
Kurt.
Awesome mate. We need more DB fans contributing over there - the place is growing, but knowledgeable and passionate fans like yourself are more than welcome! Jeff Haney has just joined up too. Your early DB jumping pics and other builds would be really great to see over there too.
Kurt.
Hey - anyone know if there is an easy way to grab a jpeg snapshot from a youtube vid?
Volcano
Give me the link Kurt & I'll do it for you...or, if you have photoshop, you can do it with that program.
Jarvi
Mick, yes I have seen that book. Would love a proper one but limited edition.

Rohan, I had dinner with your sponsor and he said your spending too much time riding and training and your school results are suffering. You'll need to lift those before he considers WA. Speaking of Gary, he's competing in the QLD titles at the moment.
