Safe Travels James and Matt!

Well whilst thinning out my collection, I've "accidentally" bought a Kuwahara KZ-1 and hoping to bring it back to stock.... to do that I'm hoping to acquire:

1) Suntour VX Cranks (prefer blue, but no problem with any colour as I can re-anodise)
2) KKT Lightning Pedals 9/16th (colour as above)
3) Fluted Alloy Post (colour as above)
4) Blue Elina Lightning Bolt Saddle
5) Blue Kuwahara Pads
6) Blue IRC Tires
7) Blue OGK Grips

I have many trades available, ie Shimano DX Cranks, Flight 401's, Shimano DX Pedals, Black Kashimax Aero Seats or of course there is always cash.....

If anyone has got any of the above, and want to move it, let me know as I would be really appreciative if you could let me know...

Iwantotbuyahutch
I can't say that I have got any of those parts I could trade for you Stu, but I do know that I have some NOS Araya 7X rims with a sh1t chrome job! Interested? I am pretty sure that Kuwahara's originally came with the reject rims from Araya.......

Do you have any NOS 7X rims I could buy? Maybe try your chromer this time!

BIG WARNING OUT TO BRISBANE PEOPLE!

DO NOT USE "METAL ART" at GEEBUNG!

THEY ARE ONLY GOOD FOR CHROMING FREEZE DRIED DOG TURDS, AS IT WOULD BE IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND THE IMPERFECTIONS IN ONE OF THOSE!

At least I have a NOS set of rider rims...... angry.gif
prosight
i will be listing a set of NOS chrome 7x's 20inch in the coming weeks if any one is looking just thought id give the heads up..

Dude, I'm really sorry to hear that! Share your pain, post some photo's...

You might not want to hear this but if you get them down to me and the your chromer hasn't worked them over to much, we should be able to have the chrome stripped off and re-chromed to a good standard. Provided you are happy to wait 5 weeks for them...

I just sold my NOS Blue 7X's to a dude in the Las Vegas...went for $200USD, so probably a little good for a re-chrome...
JMCGT
thanks Stu...and good seeing you today, especially the packages picked up...yummy!!!!!
thats is shizzle John...this is why i polish my older ones...hate dickheads who do rubbish jobs

Er, where did you get that information from? Kuwahara KZ1's and KZ2's came stock with Ukai rims. It wasn't until the Laserlites that they came with 7x's smile.gif

Hey Mike, I think John was being funny, saying that he wants to offload his rims, because he had drama's with his chroming!

Hey Matt, it was great to see you and I hope flipper was good to you! The nice part is that I only have to go to Cairns to see, what I'll probably regret selling! wink.gif
Iwantotbuyahutch
Thanks prosight, I will keep an eye out. Do you mind telling me your ebay name? Or PM if you are not keen to advertise.

Thanks Stu. I think the problem is that he didn't spend much time on them at all. When I handed them over they were polished up perfectly, like chrome, but with very fine scratches as you get with polished alloy. He tried to blame them on the rims, but that is complete crap. He wouldn't say it, but he drastically reduced the price because of it, which is like an admission of guilt in itself.

Welcome to the surface of the Moon!

Oops! Just missed these bits!

Anyway, it's done now. I will bring them down to you over the next couple of weeks and you can have a look.

Cheers,
Iwantotbuyahutch
Sorry Mccam. Just jokes mate.... scratch_one-s_head.gif
Iwantotbuyahutch
Sorry, I haven't posted for a while, so I am catching up.

I am sure you have seen this one Bradster!

JMCGT
hope you do come up to Cairns Stu...wait till i get everything up here first... cant wait to see my wifes face
John..that is rubbish mate...i cant believe they called you out on that...
JMCGT
what was his excuse on the pitting??
Iwantotbuyahutch
He blamed it on the age and condition of the rims! I said that they may be 25 years old, but they polished like the queens silverware when I left them there! The guys a twit (stronger language has obviously been used).

I must have missed something here, but are you moving to Cairns Matt? Or is this just a "Road Trip"?
JMCGT
yes mate..i have been moving for two years...its a long drive
i dont like to rush things..
and i know when i get there, i will be working my arse off again..may need a hammer hand if you need work
Bradster
Geez John - those rims are a bummer! Can the chrome be stripped and reapplied?? Your right about polished rims though, I have a nice pair hanging but they've got a few small marks allready just from hanging on a plastic coated curtain rod!

Saw that Judge.......mmm!! wub.gif
Iwantotbuyahutch
I'd love the change Matt, REALLY love the change, but there are too many things pinning us in Brisbane. Must have been hard for you guys to move from Melbourne!

Brad, GO ON, DO IT! Life too short! They don't come up too often.......
JMCGT
NO!..i only moved to Melbourne for just over a year...we came from NSW..

not hard at all...like you said...lifes to short
and i have set myself up now for a new start...if i didn,t move, i would still be working seven days a week
Lots of toys with no time to play..thats no good!!
Kurt.
Hey Stu,

I can fix you up with a NOS blue fluted alloy seat post if you are stil looking.
84profile
Hey Boys

John that is total BS! I would take them back to the clown and get him to strip it off and re do them...alternatively, we can get my chromer to do the same...

That Judge is as as sweet as, it is going to go for some B I G bucks...

Kurt, I would be super appreciative if you would sell me the post..I've got the correct cranks and pedals so far, the hard parts are going to be the Blue Elina and the blue IRC tires....I actually found a post on ebay in the US, the post was $20 (which was fine) but the numb nuts wanted $28 to post it here negative.gif

and finally I just have to say, like we all know there are so many loose spankers on Ebay...get this clown, I have no idea who he is, but he sent me this random message about my Patterson cruiser.

Q: screw you!!!!!!!! I have one minty with every acc. you're dumb!!! never at that price. NO WAY!!

To which I responded:

A: Hey "sloegoe", thanks for pleasant email. I'm sorry, where is your Patterson listed? How about you sell it to me then? ps just so you know, you can buy disposable shaver's at the grocery store, you don't have to buy them off ebay.

I checked out his history and he buys his disposable shaver's on ebay???What the?

Just love these key board warriors...
Sumo178
you just missed a NOS set of blue 1.75 IRC tyres by a week on the bay. Didn't sell for huge dollars either. But I guess you don't want to hear that...
QuicksilverBMX
I was going to bid on those but once they hit $100US i was out. I know they didnt go for much more but I have enough tyres to choose from and that money can be better spent on my Helium now!
JMCGT
LOL..thats funny Stu...probably Shawn (90210sucks)
whats the with all the acc??? whats acc
i bet he didnt read it was a cruiser...LOL..i,m still laughing

Sumo178
Hey guys looking for some NOS white grips. LMK what ya'll have. To go with NOS white Comp III tyres and NOS white Elina Lightning bolt seat.
84profile
Man, I know I saw those IRC's...bad timing...

I'm really not much of a coloured tired guy myself, however I think they are necessary, as I want mine to be the same as this one...

JMCGT
Jake and Kurt help please
Serial # 4d0281.... Diamond back..18 3/4 t/t
Sumo178
Matt pic?
JMCGT
no pics...nos leary 2.. do these #,s ad up
lives two streets from you too Jake..LOL
Sumo178
does it have a baseball logo? is the serial on the dropout or BB? big or small gusset? looptail?
Kurt.
Hey Matt,

Well it's def an '84 so will def have a small gusset. TT sounds right - very close to 19".

Serial sounds Jap (which is right). Must be on the dropout.

Nothing so far rules out a Turbo 2nd Gen - need a side on pic of the whole frame to confirm.

Cheers
Kurt.
Hey Stu - great ad mate. That's about my first memory of Kuwahara. I think the guy in the other page of the ad is probably Trashcan Morgan. I'll fix you up with a pole. Can you PM me your address again. Do you want a blue pole or a silver one?
Sumo178
Kurt there are a few but very small number of big gusset frames made in 84. I was just on the phone to Matt and Turbo 2 it sounds like.

Still not as cool as my 82 Turbo!
JMCGT
its definately a leary frame...small gusset...turbo 2...
what are they worth,f/f?? any clues
Kurt.
I paid $450 for my '82 Turbo FF 12 months ago. Good price I reckon. Personally I don't think the 2nd gen are as desirable.

Jake - yeah I know there were some low end frames with big gussets in '84. Never seen an '84 Turbo with them though.
Sumo178
Like I said on the phone I paid AU$700 delivered from syd to melb for my 82 Team issue 2J0095()() serial but without orig bars and pedals. DAMN thats an early Turbo!
