COASTY
No worries Roy. Me and the goose will be there for sure. I keep missing the damn comps. I usually find out the day after. like todays rally. Did you go to that?
COASTY
Cheers fellas for 2000 posts.
Beers all round. Good one Rohan.
OldSkoolRoy
No i was baby sitting. My wife had this day planed for a while and we only decided to hold the jam a couple of days ago. I think clint (millar) video'd the day.

OldSkoolRoy

KOSY-MOTO
Classic.. post photos.. enough with the chat!! pixs!!
Dirtboy
Well, here is my before and after pic for the day (sorry no bike builds on this post)

1985 was the last year i raced as a kid.....20 years on i thought i'd give it another go and i'm quite pleased with the result.

I stayed up all night prior to the finals searching eBay for bmx talent - buy it now - but there was none. So, i'll continue to search the bay for at least "35% more BMX talent" and maybe next year the 2 will turn into a 1
COASTY
Well done mate. Thats awsome. You must be very pleased with yourself.
Dirtboy
thanks coastvl, i had a good weekend in both racing and collecting and was very happy to make both finals.

it's great to still be able to race as an old **** as well as collect and appreciate the OS bikes.

Funny though, how every time i see some guy still using nice os parts on their NS race bike that they won't sell. like the guy still using his box profiles eh mattblack.....i thought he'd jump at my instant cash offer for those....damn.

the downside with racing is the OS projects have been mounting up somewhat. seems more fun to go ride, than to hang in the garage and build.

Had a bloke by the name of Chris Edgar attempt a double backflip a few comps. back. He got one and a 1/2 and smashed his face. No neck injuries, but his helmet split open his forehead, broke his nose, cut across the bridge of his nose, split his top lip open, and put his jaw through his chin. I just started at the top and worked my way down. At the last comp. ,one bloke crashed on a double tailwhip and poped his shoulder out of it's socket. As i was helping him from the street corse, it poped back in, so he got back on his bike and kept riding. Lol. Had some missing teeth and inturnal injuries to attend to aswell. Broken wrists, anckels, blown knees. I get to see it all. I've patched up some of the best freestyle pro's in Australia. LOL
OldSkoolRoy
