Kurt.
That looks brilliant Jake. DX frenzy too! Very Nice!

Oh and Mick. You'll pick us in QLD - Wife likes to pack like that. LOL
COASTY

Jarvi
Beaches are good backdrops for any type of photo and those are making me very jealous. Great looking bikes Matt.

Jake, the Quadangle is coming together nicely. Hope you find the last couple of bits.

Here's what I got up to this morning. Sometimes for wheels are good.

More photos over here

ACGTO
All the parts finally arrived for the Phaze 1 Mini I bought ages ago so decided to build it up and let the boys have a ride before stripping it for a rebuild. Here's some pics. They had a ball on it.

Wish I could have ridden something like this at their age.

ROBERTO
Hey James! You look good in a Holden.

Send any further driving vouchers to me.
COASTY
Nice james. Was that at Calder? I'd love to have a blast in that.
That CW mini looks awsome. Looks like the boys loved it too.
Volcano
James in the Mach 5!...LOL laugh.gif
Bit more power than the Porsche???

Adam - Love the thumbs up pic...classic!
JMCGT
Hey Adam..very nice..
jackson looks a bit big for this, and next time you spend a heap of money..get him a boys helmet..LOL..or something a bit tougher than the floral look..
that headset will come up mad polished..
JMCGT
thats a nice pickup too Adam...did you send the pics to De Bruin, show him that your kids are trashing a mini phase one..LOL... and oh, another one exists. how about that!!..
Jarvi
Yes Glenn it was a Calder. Went around it about 15 years ago as a passenger and Mark Skaiffe driving, in a Porsche 928S. Driving was a bit more fun though.
Kurt.
Bet you had a ball James. Cool.

Got any action pics? I wanna see tyre smoke...and fear!!!
Jarvi
No other decent photos as I had my point and shoot camera and Megan couldn't get close enough to the action. No tyre smoke either as I was paranoid about stalling it and it was so cold I was shivering anyway which didn't make for a smooth take off anyway.
ACGTO
Hey James, What was your top speed? Looks like fun.

Bet it felt slow driving home after that, assuming you obeyed the road rules that is.
Jarvi
Didn't look at the speed. Was concentrating too much. Actually, the top of the wheel lined up perfectly with the tacho and speedo so I couldn't tell what was going on with anything. Yeah the trip home was slow, especially because was saw a speed trap on the way out there.
Mattblack
Here's the entry form for the Aussie Titles 1983

JMCGT
Cranks are out of the bag...good ad for Gary...
Kurt.
There's a few builds that have used them over in the Retro section. Great looking crank mate.
JMCGT
really, thanks Kurt..
cook is getting close..
Bradster
Hi all, fitted some AP bars this week, man those pups are tall!! I wasn't too sure at first but they're growing on me!!

COASTY
Very nice Bradster. They are big mommas aren't they? Nice pair too.
JMCGT
they are massive Brad...
i have three sets and have only used one so far..think i prefer the 83 pro..
Did you get these from Gary..
nice pair !!..which do you prefer to ride..the 24" or the 20"
JMCGT
Talking to Waza yesterday, and there is a vintage gathering in November at Knox track Victoria...
it is going to be held on a race day, just to give Reece plenty of flying notice..
Good time of year to be in Melbourne too...(weather wise)..
Kurt.
Bloody Hell!!! How high are those APs - look about the same as the distance from the axle to the stem. Bloody Ginormous. Nice ride Brad.

Yeah Matt - watching closely... 10 to 5 tomorrow...
QuicksilverBMX
AP bars are great! I have 2 sets and one on my Quicksilver!

Brad are you selling your GT, you just built it up!
JMCGT
Good luck Kurt..
Bradster
Yep - I've set both bikes up with the same grip/seat height, I prefer the 20 if I want to ride hard (or as hard as I can now-days) the cruiser is sweet for the leisurely stuff, I'm really pleased with them both, the bars are gen units, picked them up on ebay U.S. for $56 + ship which I think was good going. I'm casually looking for a second set now as I have a really sweet Hutch expert to build.

Reece - Yep that's my GT, it's mint and all but I'm a bit of a Hutch nerd deep down
wacko.gif
Kurt.
Great buy Brad.

Funny isn't it - cruisers really are cruisers. (Rohan's antics notwithstanding.)

You can't beat the feel of a 20"
JMCGT
i agree...20" for me..
great price on the AP,s...i payed $150 plus post..1 used and two nos..
anyone got some hutch bars and stem for sale or swaps..
Volcano
Love them NOS DX pedals Adam...mmm...LOL
ACGTO
They are nice Mick. You should buy them. I'll post them for free if the price goes over $800. Somehow I don't think they'll go near that high. They were a bit like an old girlfriend, just decided I didn't like them anymore.
JMCGT
must be that chick i never liked..
morning Mick, been on a bender...havn,t seen you on here in a while..
proline2
wow, there's some GT's coming out of the woodwork on ebay at the moment.
those bars are huuuuuge, Bradster!

does anyone here know quickiemon? he's posted a couple of great quicky's in the museum forums.
JMCGT
WELCOME...kurt..to the COOK family..well done mate...and no extra bids..smile.gif
Volcano
Sweet frame Kurt!!! Great score biggrin.gif

Hey thanks Matt, Mick.

REALLY looking forward to building up the CBR. Won't be your typical Cook build, plenty of high end gear on it though...
Volcano

Thats Pete Porker!
QuicksilverBMX
Also, heres a local score my mate picked up on the weekend from roadside! The forks are KE-1 forks!
Also has Chome 7x's and sealed bearing suzue hubs. Its an 85' Californian

revcore
Interested in selling the wheels Reece?
QuicksilverBMX
I can ask him, but they do have alot of pitting on them.

I think he is happy to do trades on this bike but he is not a member here.
revcore
Shame about the pitting. Looks like I might have to find a 7X and polish it, Which leads me to ask.......Anyone got a good Araya 7X rim that hasn't got any flat spots ar damage? Any colour will do because I can use caustic soda to remove the anodising.
Volcano
KE-1 forks!!!!! awesome find.
